I am probably not going to end up taking any of these spots, but I just LOVE seeing the spots other people pick and the cute way you guys set them up. Although, the area with a lot of smaller lakes is pretty tempting. Great video, thank you for putting in the time and sharing!

It seems like I have to sacrifice the higher area to still reach the ore resources. It’s ok I gotta reevaluate though lol. I moved ALL my chests there so I’m committing lol

Built on location 2, provided pals with food and all. I went to sleep and let the game running meanwhile, I woke up and they were all dead (they were all 30+). Sus.
@@BuckeyeBunny Yeah but I suspect I got attacked somehow, as one wall was "missing" (probably destroyed), one door got badly damaged and the Palbox was slightly damaged.
I use location two as my mining far. I try to keep the border of the base away from the huge drop off cliffs. I only get issues with the occasional large pal getting stuck in a tree which I just cut down lol
I love the water feature on 5 since it’s shallow enough to not be a problem. I’m wanting to build a double base, so the Ice Wind Island seems like the optimal place for that. I’ll explore there and Forgotten Island.
Love some of these bases im so happy they added the Ore Mine but damn does it suck having to break down my ore and main base to find a good new main location. i might use the one in the end and just cover up the ore nodes for extra flat space. Great Video tho!

Oh, wow! I'm in *love* with location 4. I'm going to scout that area this week. I just finished moving away from my first home base, which was right down the hill from the starting point. I loved seeing the waterfall every day, but like you, there wasn't enough room for the breeding/egg farm. Right now, I'm at -133, -583. There's a skill tree and 2 iron nodes nearby and lots of flat area. My only views are the mountains and nearby cliffs, but also 3 campfires in the distance. I was thinking about making it cozy by building a nice little smithy area and a barn for the Pals; but after see this video, I may move again, haha! Thank you for the suggestions. that first location (321. -21 I believe?) I built there and put the breeding pen down on the cliff next to it and built stairs so my pals could get up and down. worked perfectly. it's my fav place to build.
I'll check out the second location on Windswept Hills. I guees if you have raid on, having one path to your base would help choke the syndicates. I'm currently at the bottom of the first Windswept Hills , near the villager by the beach.
Ive built at location 5, raids cant get up there they spawn down the cliff and you can use those as another ressource. They are stuck into the animation to get up the cliff and dont attack you when you start shooting them.
Hmm, I checked, and the most accurate coordinates it shows for my base is -260 -363. I placed the box about 6 times and dismantled it before I got the blue boundary circle where I wanted it. I just placed the box, flew up on Nitewing, and then dismantled the box and adjusted where I placed it slightly until it was right. I have mine about 2 tiles from the lagoon edge in the bare dirt area (see in vid). :)
You know, when I first saw they were supposedly bamboo, I even remarked that's not what I thought bamboo trees looked like, so I just assumed these were a variety I had never seen. But you could very well be correct. I still think they're pretty, lol. :)

My base is at #3 and my pals bug out all the time, the trees grow back through all my structures and I'm gonna have to move it again. I dunno which one I'll go for yet but thank you for your amazing base inspo!

On the 5th base u could also defeat the camp and place ur palbox on top of it and it shouldn’t respawn until you destroy ur palbox as well I’ve been told 😮
What me and my friends do is have 1 or later maybe 2 bases for mining resources like coal and iron and then our main base we can just focus on getting a cozy looking flat place.
@@BuckeyeBunny I have been trying to do the same, but I am the only one in our group with an eye for that so it always ends up being a mess. My plan was to improve the looks of the other 2 bases since a while now but I am stuck farming schematics and for some reason I only get handgun ones. Of those I got 20 green and 4 blue ones but I can literally not get anything else. And yeah aesthetically it really helps if you can just have the mainbase wherever you want. There are so many good looking places out there. I wish we had more slots for bases tho so I could build one just for me to get a cozy place for my Pals. No work, no production buildings just a relaxing good looking base.
That 1st bases in wind swept near the start, if you put down one floor tiles and a window in front of the little bridge mammoth will de spawn because his patching breaks, just tear the wall down restart if you want to respawn him.
Im trying to find one with water, coal and ore. just a few deposits will do because, if you cycle your day and night time to the highest setting they repsawn very rapidly. plus the bosses spawn super rapidly so you can farn them for blueprints. Im considering ice wind island or forgotten island lol
Location 2 is where my main base. I only used the lower level (ore level) by carefully placing my Pal Box to cover the whole lower level and avoiding the top level. Placing the Pal Box in the middle of the ore cluster. Then build the rest of the base over the side of the cliff.
The most likely reason that metal node dosent respawn is because you have foundations too close to it. Foundations and many other structures will prevent respawn of resources.
Warning about location 4, my friends and I had a camp in between the lakes and we constantly had issues with two mammoth spawning and fighting there plus a wandering merchant spawning with syndicate thugs after him.
@@BuckeyeBunny yeah, I found this spot before watching the video and convinced my friends to build there. One day we came home to find our pals KO'd and two mammoths fighting. Then while we were looking for a new spot a wandering merchant spawned in which caused syndicate to spawn in and they shot and aggro'd the boss so our pals got KO'd again in the crossfire. Not sure if we were unlucky and those were supposed to be rare spawns but yeah.

If you mean building stairs up to the top of the cliff, that was just trial and error...unless they've changed something to make this not work properly since I made the video. I haven't played for a few months tbh.
Tried to build a farm and breeding base at location #4 Ice Wind Island center - but unfortunately low level wolf packs and two level 38 Mammorests kept spawning directly inside this base. Bug? They did not wander into the base - spawned right in front of my eyes. Decided to tear the base down again. Would love to build at #1 near the start. The little river with bridges, waterfall and lagoon there is the most beautiful place I could find so far. To bad it does not have enough space. Got a good mining base on a mountain south of "Tower of the Free Pal Alliance". Think I will try to build at #1 now. But I have to find creative ways to place farm and breeding stuff indoor or something and I'm worried about the AI pathing in houses.
Sadly, it seems that having multiple smaller bases is the way to go to have everything. They need to make the base radius larger and fix pathing issues.
One thing that annoys me about the blue barrier is if you build outside it, your building will start to decay, meaning your entire base must be within the boundary :(
Hmm, if you mean the blue line on the ground, that circle is from the Pal Box to show your base area. Or, if you mean the "cage" for the pals, that's a "viewing cage" that you can build. :)
What can I say, I like it cozy so I can make a cute little house and be besties with my pals without more than occasional thugs or wild pals wandering onto base. When I wanna sweat, I play COD. 😁
lmao...I WISH I could give her more cake, but they haven't added the ability to edit the character. However, I do have 3 games, so my characters are slightly varied in their...cake. 😊

I wonder if there was some sort of translation error. The trees near the Bamboo Grove aren’t bamboo, they are banyan trees.

Once I set up my box and released the pals, they chopped the trees around the water, but an axe would work too. :)

What can I say, I like it cozy so I can make a cute little house and be besties with my pals without more than occasional thugs or wild pals wandering onto base. When I wanna sweat, I play COD. 😁

lmao...I WISH I could give her more cake, but they haven't added the ability to edit the character. However, I do have 3 games, so my characters are slightly varied in their...cake. 😊

Thanks. I've spent so much time looking for a place to move my original base, but I might just be able to move the Pal box, and build differently. Lovely job. I didn't need ore or any resources, just somewhere lovely and spacious.
