Why didn’t the police check her phone to see if/who text or rang her prior to her leaving her mums house?
Maybe the police just didn't feel like it. I mean for one reason or another they didn't get a blood sample from "mercy". I feel like maybe they just want it a closed case and thats why they are holding onto the story of the robbery

Maybe they did, but didn't find anything. The phone was taken by the killer and then discarded, it's possible they did that in order to erase the message they had sent to Honey previously to lure her out.
@@teom.4888 deleting something on a cell phone has never been permanent. The service provider could check and even the sim cards keep that info sometimes. U could check satellite in rare cases and street cameras to see if it was a call or text she may hav goteen before getting home. Check her job, she was at work 1st. Something like checking Mercy 's phone even couldve done it.

Yes! This is exactly what I was wondering.
They probably didn’t find anything, or kept it hushed up while looking for more evidence. It’s a way they can trick guilty people into confessing with info the media and public aren’t aware of.
Any spouse to ex shoulf always be a suspect. Wen she said ex boyfriend i assumed it was him. The fact that it was literally the same night, a little while after, and the mother couldn't get information but these boys knew exactly who was hurt. Y r these boys not being questioned

The only way they could have known that Honey was shot that early is if they were there or had seen something!
Especially because her body was dragged to a closet. They wouldn’t have known unless they were there/knew someone who was on the scene.

I grew up in.a house where a murder happened. It took them over 20 years to find the gun on the same guy who committed the murder. He was arrested on another warrant for physical assault a few states away from where the murder was committed.
A guy who got away with it for nearly a decade. And he doesn't seem particularly smart.

The fact that she changed her mind about going out that night probably means she got a text while she was on her way home. They should’ve checked her phone records or contacted the phone company to try and find out who told her to come to the trap house that night

I was thinking the same thing. That, & that she probably had some conversations via text on there that some people were uneasy about. She didn’t seem like she was as deep into everything as the people she was hanging around, so they may have been a little sus of her knowing too much of their business. Her mom tried to contacted the phone company for the records & they wouldn’t send her the texting transcripts. Could be because they required a subpoena or it could’ve been a burner? Either way, as of now, it seems like it was a smart move on the killers part (unfortunately) 😔
Maybe. I also think it was disposed of to throw police off the actual perpetrators tail because they were still in the house. If you believe the armed robbery bit it looks like the robbers took her phone and threw it out.
@@jessicabreann1521 Yeah I tried to get a transcript because I was suing my landlord and they wouldnt give it to me and it was my phone under my name. I think they do require a court order.
I think Honey knew like "where she was going" if I make sense... like she went back just to kiss her momma and tell her that she loves her. I think she knew things could go south.
Or that was typical behavior because she loved her ma.
a family friend died 4 years ago and months before dying she fixed her life. She became who she always wanted to be, she mended her relationship with a friend she had fought with, she told everyone around her that she loved them; she was enjoying life like she never had. and then, she tragically died in a car accident. it was literally so shocking because looking back it seemed like she was saying goodbye, so sad

@@lemon-parker In august i died from a heart defect (which i didnt know i had) but was luckily brought back, and only less than a month prior I got a good sized life insurance to make sure my mom would be financially secure just in case something happened to me because you never know. I bought my apartment in february, after less than 2 years of working my ass off and getting my shit together. The only reason i survived is because i was at the right place, at the right time.

What kind of despicable person would rent an apartment to a couple, knowing that a murder took place.... AND not remove the bloody carpet?!
they probably know Anna people moved in there paid a deposit and they rent they knew that they found out it was blood they were going to move out and they knew they couldn't get their money back they probably got a lot of people like that they probably rented that apartment three four five times and got that money and then when the people move out trying to get their money back they can't that's a whole Hustle
That’s disgusting. Blood holds pathogens and can bring critters, if there’s enough of it. Just imagine walking barefoot across that Capet, having a baby crawling across it. I bet the maintenance people wouldn’t touch it and they were too cheap to call professionals in to change it.
Apartments in the hood. That area has plenty. I'm from California and when I moved to Atlanta I accidentally moved to the ghetto lol. Life lesson learned however.. always do your research and drive by a place at night🌛
I'm starting to think it's a southern thing. I moved to Texas from California and these people will literally rent out a house or apartment in literally any condition and not disclose information that you would definitely want to know about.
You’d be surprised how some of the landlords are in GA (not just in Atlanta or metro Atlanta either). My thing was they could have AT LEAST switched out the carpet, and properly cleaned and sanitized the apartment before renting it out again. I guess these people don’t care though. They’re more concerned with how fast they can get a new tenant in so that they won’t miss any income from an available unit.
Not only did she come back into the house to tell her mother she loves her but she also went back out after saying she was tired, which apparently wasn’t typical for her.. she definitely knew she was heading into an unsafe situation. I wish her and her family peace and justice for everyone involved in her murder.
Hey Eleanor I’m from Georgia and I heard of this case on my local news, it was Stone Mountain and not stone island. Don’t mean any harm by this comment I just want the right location to be known in order for the right people to come forward.

I wish you would look into the nance dude case. It’s about a grandmother who was supposed to take her granddaughter to an orphanage but instead left her in a cave, covered it up with rocks and left the girl there to starve to death.

My apartment got flooded from the septic system even after I told them multiple times it would. They wouldn't do clean up and they also charged me for cleaning the carpet which they didn't pull up even though everything was FLOODED but idk like someone else said they are just cheap

My theory: I think she went back to kiss her mom goodbye because she knew she was either gonna get kidnapped or killed. I think she knew smt about mercy that could ruin his life and since he clearly had fire arms he told her that if she told anyone or brought the police they would kill her mom or smt and thats why she knew she had to kiss her mom goodbye that also clears why they had to hide her phone because the texts can confirm that this is what happened. Idk that's just a theory I thought of while watching this

He was a free man for 7 years and I feel that there's others involved that are still walking scott free

@Rebekah Chambers the lead up to the murder was his girlfriend sent nudes to another boy and he got annoyed about it so she asked for him to be robbed/ stabbed in like the hand but NOT murdered. she offered £150.49 i think it was to get him stabbed and the murder has been charged with 13 years in prison but i read somewhere else it was 27 years. he also used a sword

My heart hurts so much for her mom. It makes my stomach churn thinking about myself in her shoes. I get so worried whenever my loved ones don't reply to texts, paranoid that something might be wrong. I can't imagine the pain of having that fear confirmed.

@@caskrowo in my opinion losing craig was for the best because i want the kids to b e safe but after what he did to my auntie vicky it was really unnecessary she didnt deserve what happened to her and no matter what prison sentence hes got isn't enough for what he did to my gorgeous auntie x

I just want to say thank you for the fact that while you utilise ads, you don't put them in every couple of minutes. I need a lot of distraction when I'm having really bad pain and I also need to lay down in bed, and there's nothing more frustrating than having to continually get up to skip long ads while I'm just trying to cope and get through one minute at a time. I save your videos for when I need them because I know I can rely on you to not spam me with ads and I can just enjoy listening to your voice and focus on what you are saying. This case is really interesting. I'm surprised I've never heard it before.
I think I know what happened!
So, Honey gets home and she is tired but she gets a text from mercy saying, “I need help, I’m being robbed,” or something. So she goes to his apartment, armed with a gun, knowing she might die she told her mom she loved her. She was smart, but she cared for mercy. So she went to the house and shot mercy after mercy shot her and she fled but got shot in the back. That’s why mercy’s blood was outside the apartment! And I know there was more people there because how could they be at the crime scene but also have her phone dumped away. And the reason it was thrown away was because the text that mercy sent luring her to the house was on her phone!
