I like The Birthday Party. When they split, Nick Cave and Mick Harvey went on to become Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Rowland S. Howard went on to form These Immortal Souls and did a few solo records before passing in tragic circumstances in 2009.
😮 Only just heard of The Chameleons??? Better late than never. Actually, I've often described them as the best band nobody ever heard of, to be fair. Middleton's finest. Think they're back on tour towards the end of the year. Don't think they ever wrote a bad song.
Awesome video. I listened to a lot of this stuff back in the early 80s before I got into metal. I like all of the U2 albums up to The Joshua Tree. I used to listen to the Cure. I really like their album Seventeen Seconds. I also liked the early albums by the B-52s, like the debut with Rock Lobster. There were a few that I got into later such as Echo and the Bunnyman and Joy Division. I also remember the song Big Country being a hit int he 80s.
That's awesome John! Yeah lots of great albums from this era/genre. That Cure album is a really good one 👍 You should check out the Big Country album if you can - so good 🤘Thanks dude

If a ten ton truck kills the both of us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die. Great albums
