Yeah, beautiful. Everything about it. So soft, somehow nothing competing, incredible sound balancing. Angelina is always so beautiful sounding and moving, that orchestra is what surprised me. They worked with her at like 10 or 11 years old, and that was amazing too. But I'll never understand how to fit so much together without getting in her way a bit, and her ability to transport us. At this point I assume KORK, the orchestra, is just amazing at letting a singer be out front, but still bringing so much beauty. I've only heard so much soft beauty come together so perfectly twice in my life, and it's both her softer ones with KORK out of the 3 they did together.

👣 Her music is rooted profoundly in jazz, but still she appears like abel to perform just anything she wants. I do hope, and recomand, that you make time every now and then to dig into what this amazing young lady is capable to do. As you mentioned her total controll of her "instrument", that in itself is just one of her forces, as it comes to performing music. And this she has showed us more or less since age 7 👣

Hi Guys. Welcome to life with Angelina :) You got lots of good information below, but I wanted to comment, as you did, about Angelina's hair. One of the rights Narges Mohammedi has fought very hard for is giving women the right to choose whether or not they wear the hijab (head scarf), This is an imposed "modesty" as the hair is not to be seen by anyone except at home. I believe that Angelina's hair was styled and adorned with the jeweled band as it was, as a nod to the picture Narges Mohammedi chose for her Nobel Peace Prize photo showed her hair loose and free. It made me think that Angelina's Iranian grandmother, Mery, who keeps her hair long and thick, probably celebrates her freedom to wear it and the fact that she remembers that others can't. I have no proof, so this is just my own idea. Looking forward to more reactions from you. Thanks!

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age.
Angelina was near her 8th birthday for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang.” In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The money was placed in a trust and available when Angelina turns 18.
Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted.
In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration.
Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14.
At age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. The album can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon.
On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year.
During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each.
In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career.
Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On RUclips, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The playlist now exceeds 200 songs.
The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her.
During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles.
In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield”
In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song.
Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022.
In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles.
On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions.
On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go"
On July 21, 2023, her “Old Enough” EP was released with 5 new original songs: “Fire and Rain”, “Diamond”, “Now I’m the Fool”, “All My Fault” and “Good in Goodbyes”
The finance company SoFi is using Angelina’s original song “Our Time” in a commercial and the full song was uploaded on RUclips on October 27, 2023.
On November 25, 2023, Angelina attended Le Bal, the annual Debutante Ball in Paris, France.
On December 11, 2023, Angelina became the first musical artist to perform a second time at a Nobel Peace Prize event. She first performed at the Save the Children event at the 2014 Peace Prize ceremony, when she was 8 years old.
Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges, is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian.

Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always desired to be.

I thought "Unchained Melody" was a odd choice for this event, but have since learned the history of the song. More on that later.

In 1954, Alex North was contracted to compose the score for the prison film Unchained (released in 1955). North had a melody he had written in the 1930s and composed and recorded the score when he was asked to write a song based upon the movie's theme. North asked Hy Zaret to write the lyrics. After first refusing, Zaret and North together wrote "Unchained Melody. Zaret refused the producer's request to include the word "unchained" in his lyrics. The song eventually became known as the "Unchained Melody" even though the song does not actually include the word "unchained". Instead, Zaret chose to focus on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time".
"Unchained Melody" comes from the film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or completing his sentence and returning to his wife and family. So indeed this song fits along with Narges being in prison and her two children, and the rest of the people who embrace freedom, calling for her release.

What a fascinating and intimate interpretation of this mythical song, absolutely suitable for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way, this wonderful version of a fantastic song and so appropriate to the occasion, 7 years after the last time, in the same studios and with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps into her musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and "unchained", a singer who has already sung on 2 different occasions at the Nobel Prizes and at just 17 years old.💛🧡❤

John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody^^^
One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.

Like BTS Angelina sings many genre in many styles. Some have called her the Angel with 100 voices. She has complete control over the colour texture and dynamics of her voice. Compare this with her EP now she's 17 she's gone from singing different Genre to genre cocktails. OLD ENOUGH has different mixes of Soul, R&B, Jazz, Pop, even a line of lyrical rap. To supply consistency she keeps a seductive vintage jazzy vocal and great beats. There is an arc that moves from unrequited love to triumphant self belief as the tracks also seem to move forward in time never losing the vintage essence of Angelina but modernising production in such a way it is totally radio ready and relevant. Her international fans are called Angels.

The little girl once known as the barefoot princess was transformed into the Goddess of Music right before our eyes with her spectacular rendition of “Unchained Melody”.
She really held back in this due to the solemn occasion of Narges Mohammadi being imprisoned in Iran for promoting women's rights. As she often does, she slowed it down, infused it with emotion & ended it with a glass shattering, crystal clear falsetto, which she only uses rarely. Also, it doesn't hurt that she looks like a Greek Goddess in that white dress. Liked & subed for more Angelina. Try reacting to her recently released EP, "Old Enough," with 6 original co-written songs which are on her angilenajordanofficial channel. Two songs have a music video, Love Don't Let Me Go & Now I'm the Fool (My fav). The other 4 songs are audio only, so far. All 6 are amazing, but different from one another & all are Grammy worthy, imo.

This is the second year Angelina was asked to appear at the NPP Ceremony. She treated this song of imprisonment with such dignity and grace. Good reaction, men.

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out early next year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8.
Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

Hi guys, welcome to the rabbit hole, Angelina's some 200+ cover recordings, including some of her own work released as the EP "Old Enough" just this past year. Every time I listen to her performance for this concert I am blown away by the utter beauty of her, her voice, the orchestra, this performance. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. The recipient for this year's award was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian dissident, now in an Iranian prison for her outspoken messages and activism for women's rights. Narges' two twin children spoke on her behalf at this event prior to Angelina's singing. They are Angelina's age and haven't seen their mother in years. I'm sure this was a very poignant moment for Angelina, who is one quarter Iranian herself, and whose grandmother Mery is full Iranian. I loved everything about this performance. You are about to be amazed by a most remarkable person, all this and her once in a generation voice.

Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became one of the youngest ever vocalists to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records when she was 14. She was not widely promoted for a few years, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, things are changing rapidly as she has now graduated school. She has recently released two original music video singles from Republic Records, Love Don't Let Me Go, and Now I'm the Fool, coinciding with her new six song EP called Old Enough. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. She is around18 yrs old now. Signed with republican records at 14 years old. Look at her EP's. Bobby Hatfield of Rightous Brothers sang the song before. Her version is the only other version I thought was as amazing as Bobby's was.
This is a song of a man doing time in prison missing his love.
She has performed this song before, but in those instances Angelina always
stayed 'spot on' with Bobby Hadfield's 'Gold Standard' rendition. Here she applies
her 'Jazz' roots to bring more feeling to the song as she also slows it down for the
same reason. This makes it a more proper tribute to Narges Mohammadi, who is
2023's recipient of 'The Nobel Peace Prize' and is languishing in an Iranian prison
for trying to increase women's rights. As great as Bobby's rendition was, this one by
Angelina brings forth much more emotion laden penetration to my inner soul than
