    I realize this is an older video, I just watched it and it has just blown my mind. How do these people get away with this kind of criminal behavior? I have followed the Shannan Watts murder case and Level is a huge part of it, so I couldn’t wait to see this. I watched every video of Shannan pushing the Thrive line. I remember her saying, “don’t listen to ANY negativity about what you’re doing, just ignore these people”, which i couldn’t understand and thought was bizarre. She also said her “goal in life was to help people” which I thought was even more bizarre. She already had a husband and two children to “help”. The constant filming of her poor kids. The non stop talking on the phone and the videos. She called people who disapproved “haters”. This video you made is absolutely mind blowing. Poor Shannan fell for this lie, hook, line and sinker. Even bankruptcies and 3 months behind on the mortgage couldn’t get thru to her that her life had become totally unmanageable and she was addicted to the lie. She and her poor kids did not deserve what they got, but I can see how her husband just finally flipped. My God, these things are evil. Thank you for all your hard work, it’s excellent. And very, very sad.

    I promoted Le-Vel Thrive for 3 years. Everything you say in this video is mostly true. Btw.. yes, there is a TON of caffeine in these products. That's why if you stop, you feel like shit from the caffeine withdrawal. Making you think the product did if fact work wonders. But, you were just going through caffeine withdrawals. Plus, if you have a shellfish allergy, you should not take the capsules. They have seaweed in them. No promoters worn you of this. The DFT patches have a natural vitamin in them that is a natural aspirin. This is why they clam the patches help with aches and pains. But, again, if you have a medical problem and can not be on blood thinners, this can cause a problem. Like anything, this product is not for everyone. But, the untrained promoters, like myself in the past, will not tell you. And, yes, your "sisters" will disappear when you are no longer making them money. AND...the fact that they make you lease the "free" luxury car is BS! You never own it!

    • @s0lastsummer7
      @s0lastsummer7 3 года назад +10

      Wow the medical side of this one is so dangerous. 😬 I have a kidney bleeding disorder, and I bet this stuff would basically kill me. Yikes. Wonder how many anxiety disorders they're responsible for? I say this because i overdosed on caffeine once as a teenager, which triggered a severe, severe panic disorder which then grew into agoraphobia and generalized anxiety disorder. I took a fifteen year break from caffeine to let my body and mind heal, and now I actually use moderate amounts of caffeine to help me sleep (I have ADD so I'm backwards), but I'll always have an anxiety disorder and will always have to be careful about it. Their products would be awful for me but I bet it wouldn't stop them from trying to push them on me!

    You do a great job breaking down this predatory company (an oxymoron when discussing MLMs) but one of the more maddening aspects of this is the notion that the Lifestyle Getaways are in any sense, a vacation. They are not. Not only does one have to secure the trip via hammering away at others to buy the product and/or buy basement filling levels of the product themselves, but when most people are fortunate enough to take a vacation, the entire point and purpose is to getaway from work. With MLMs, it's the opposite. Their goal is to fly you off to a temporary echo chamber so that you can be pressured and "motivated," to do even more. The trips are NOT for the promoters. They are for those at the top. It allows them to gather together the fully indoctrinated so that the clamp can be tightened even more.
    Nice rooms, a band, good food, etc ....that is bait. The hook? Well, the hook is hidden in the details. You have done a great job of outlining those details.
    Please keep up the great work. It's both necessary and vitally important.

    I'm so glad you started by bringing up how Level silences people. In the Chris Watts murder case, he was never brought to trial, just sent directly to prison. There are real conspiracy theories about this. He worked for an oil company that was being traded that year and Shan'ann worked for Level/Thrive, both of these companies pulled strings to make sure the case received as little media attention as possible. Chris Watts was given life in prison instead of Death Row as a special favor if he just admitted he killed everyone, instead of what he'd been saying, which was that he only killed Shan'ann. Those are the kinds of strings pulled to make sure there was no trial.
    I do feel like this MLM and Anadarko, the oil company CW worked for, were behind the scenes making this case, THIS CASE, which would have been huge for so long in the media in 2018, fly under the radar by not having it go to trial. And this case needed a trial to bring everything out into the open. For one, knowing how much Shan'ann actually made at Level/Thrive would have been helpful because it was a huge stressor in the relationship.
    ALSO, the sole reason Shan'ann was discovered to be missing so quickly, if you remember her friend Nicole showed up to the house early in the morning after having dropped her off at 2 in the morning. Nicole knocked and knew something was immediately wrong, because they were going to go get the lease on her Level car that day. Most people would have knocked and left, understanding that a pregnant woman, who'd just been on a long flight late into the night would want to sleep in, but not these ladies. Not when she was going to get the Level lease that day. That's why she was so adamant to get into the house, and called the police right away.

      It was better to offer a plea. It just takes 1 juror believing his bullshit story, to keep him out of prison, and with how slow it takes to get to the electric chair, it doesn't shorten his lifespan by that much.

      Watts confessed, pleaded guilty, and got five life sentences; three to be served consecutively and two concurrently. Shanann's family agreed to his punishment. He got his time in court and the judicial system worked, as it does, in cases like this. Even without a lengthy court trial, this case was *heavily* covered domestically and even made international news. If anyone wanted less media focus on the case, they failed horribly. Between the incessant media coverage, book(s), televised in-jail interviews, Netflix, the release of the police interrogation (including his confession and speaking with his father) footage, RUclips, podcasts, and so on, this case was and is plastered everywhere. Anadarko, Thrive, and Le-vel were companies so often mentioned that they will always be directly associated to this case. That name recognition will last as long as the public's collective memory. Just because people want/desire more intimate details about the inner workings of Shanann and Watt's life doesn't mean that they are entitled to them. Most, if not all, horrific cases leave questions that will never be answered. Was there any external pressure on any part of this case, including less coverage or information? We may never know for sure. If there was, it didn't seem to work on quieting, or even dampening, the absolute furor that was this case.
      As a footnote - Even if Watts had be sentenced to death, Colorado abolished the death penalty in 2020 and all death penalty sentences were commuted. The large sum of money spent on a lengthy trial, that may not have resulted in a guilty verdict, would have been wasted.

    • @julianjv7325
      @julianjv7325 2 года назад

      There is a rumor that Shannan's parents were paid by Thrive to not seek the death penalty for CW, if the case had gone to trial it is very likely that Chris's defense would have said that the murders were caused by the economic disaster that Thrive had led to his family, they would also have said that Thrive products influenced CW at the time of committing these murders.

    • @kennethsouthard6042
      @kennethsouthard6042 4 дня назад

      Watts pleaded guilty as he was fearful of the death penalty, even though he would not have gotten it anyway. By doing so, he also thinks that he can somehow fight on and be out again one day, which will never happen. Perhaps one day he will come to terms that he will be a lifer.
      Le-Vel or his employer would have had no power in getting him to plead guilty. Think about it, what kind of pressure or incentive could they have given him?

    I have a friend who re-joined after being a promoter years ago. She doesn't really push it on me because we really are friends and have been since grade school. However, she posts how great she feels etc. and our other friend decided to try the product. She claims she got huge bursts of energy and cleaned things she's NEVER cleaned before. She decided to upgrade her patch to a stronger one and gave me a free 3 days worth sample. It done absolutely nothing to me. At all. My OG promoter friend said that for some people it just takes longer to feel the effects of the vitamins and that I should try it for a whole month before I pass my judgment. So my other friend decided to become a promoter too just to "thrive for free". I still haven't given in. And I love my morning coffee, not for energy, but I just love coffee. So the claim that "You can buy this for $6 a day. You guys that the price of your daily Starbucks or eating lunch out!" Ummm first of all, no. Not everyone buys Starbucks and lunch out daily, or even weekly. So no. This is now an additional cost for some. Second of all, who are you to tell someone they should give up something bc you don't agree with it? I agree with you. Disgusting tactics.

The biggest issue is every single product has caffeine in their “proprietary blend” which means..... they literally don’t have to disclose HOW MUCH caffeine is in each product. Their patch also has “ForsLean” and “Cosmoperine” which are basically patented mystery blends of herbs that have not been scientifically proven to work 🤨 wack. An IT Works hun did this to me once and it took FOUR months to get the company to cancel the “subscription”, the rep ghosted me, and when I called the company they just directed me back to the rep. I had to threaten legal action to get the auto ship canceled. They refunded me for the fifth month because it hasn’t been shipped yet, but that was it. They basically STOLE $300 from me without my consent because each box was $99. That was the moment I became aggressively anti-MLM. It’s so wrong. Wow I love your content!! I can’t stop bingeing!! I’d love to hear your opinion on Q Sciences?! It’s a CBD selling MLM, my sister is in it and pretty high up in the company, and it’s almost heartbreaking for me. I’m super anti-MLM and I don’t know how to support her in her job with this company, but her claim is that the products have actually changed her and her husbands lives. (Anti-anxiety and stopping medication because of these CBD products, which I will admit aren’t terrible.) but it’s still an MLM and she’s making great money so I think she’s blind to a lot of the bad? Any thoughts??

      I'm not an expert, but if she's doing well in terms of both finances and product use, I'd be more concerned about her relationships. Is she cutting out people who aren't involved? Is she getting culty with the people who are? Etc.

    My sister in law is doing Herbalife now. She earns just a lot but not enough for California, she lives in a rented house, has her own gym where people can go workout and drink an Herbalife shake and she’s still barely breaking even. She’s supposedly a high rank in the company but doesn’t seem like it.

    I’m confused about these huns stating they get a weekly pay check?? How do you get a weekly pay check if you do not recruit or sell products? That makes it sound like you are getting an hourly rate or salary for the work you actually do.

    I live in a town in the UK which was a real hotbed for MLMs until recent years when the market became over saturated. I remember that a school friend of mine ended up making a whole lot of money from in because she was one of the first in, around 2007. I had no interest in it because what I found bizarre was how there seemed to be very little focus on the actual products. I always said if you could make money from this everyone would do it.

    At no point during the "business opportunity" is there any selling; rather users and participants are channeled towards only buying. Recruits buy with the misunderstanding that they will sell outside the scheme, but in fact they are only buying with the continued downward fallacy of convincing others to buy with the promise they can sell, but they never do. The minuscule selling going towards the insignificant volume of "preferred customers" are of little concern to the corporation, if at all.

And I love the anti mlm and totally agree vitamins can definitely be overdosed on however I do want to note vitamin C in high doses is actually a known homeopathic remedy for cold and flu, studies show high dose vitamin C can reduce cold and flu symptoms by 24 hr (double as much as tamaflu) I agree with everything about too many vitamins is a big deal but I do think vitamin c is an exception to the rule and should be noted!

    Just seeing this April 15, 2021. I live in a fairly small town of less than 20,000 and know of several people who swear by “the patch” from Le-Vel/Thrive - one is a police 👮‍♂️ officer who is a Father of 4, soon to be 5, along with his wife also deep into Le-Vel as she a hair salon. They insist it’s the greatest thing. And claim to be “successful” thus far.

    I have some questions, because there are some things I didn't understand :
    1. You said the car is on lease. What exactly does that mean for the promoters? Is the car theirs? Can they sell it if they don't want to pay so many taxes for it?
    2. The "free" trips: if the paid vacation is not that far, could you actually drive there, or would they force to buy a plane ticket? And if you can't afford to pay the ticket, can you refuse to go? Also, I've seen in some videos that the promoters also have business trips with level, does level pay for your ticket then or not?

    I just found your videos and I love them but just one tiny suggestion, I know it's hard but I think it would be super useful to more people if you spoke a little slower. Many Mlm's like to target immigrants and often their first language isn't English so it could be really hard for those people to follow along with your videos and I think your message is so important!
