Been playing it on steam deck with little to no issue. Sometimes small items are hard to click on, but they have it set so you can sort of scroll through whatever items are in front of your character.
I've found the implementation for the DualSense controllers to be quite easy to use. The radial wheels actually work quite well, and are customisable to make selection even easier.
Tbh ive toned down my fps to 30 and ive set all my settings to high and ultra. The way the game plays 30 fps isn’t bad at all plus it makes it to where act 3 runs just fine. That being said though cant wait to transfer my progress since its a console it should be a more stable experience at 60 fps with whatever preset they go with.
Lots of the fun is living and dying with the choices you’ve made in the story as the game progresses. Sometimes things go as planned or completely unexpected. You typically have multiple paths to take to multiple endings of the game. You could just be a “save scum” and reload if you end up making a choice you really regret but you have freedom to be good, bad and/or somewhere in between. Lots of the fun is also just figuring out how you can/want to solve a problem. That could involve fighting, lying, stealing, sneaking your way around something, joining certain factions etc. In their previous game (divinity original sin 2) some of the side quests would literally just make you laugh and be entertaining. The combat will actually make you think of how you should go about the fights unless you go with the easiest difficulty. Making character builds to fight how you want is nice because most of the classes have their own thing going on. The fun is also in just enjoying the fantasy of it all
turn based combat destroys immersion and flow of the game and have never been able to get into them no matter how hard ive tried, was about to buy and then decided to check out a few videos about it, and the turn based is the only thing. everything looks awesome.

When playing coop is there a certain distance that you can go from your party before it stops you? Or can you just go as far away as you want from each other? Asking mostly for when exploring cities and stuff, it would be nice to not be tethered together in those instances.
It should be unlimited - or if there is a limit, I’d expect it to be where the different Acts begin and end - but I recommend that you do not seperate a lot. Use it for only minor separations, like a better spot when combat begins, or time-efficiency when looting a dungeon.
… oh, and the classic of getting one player to talk to a vendor to keep them looking in their direction, while another player pick-pockets the same vendor.
It’s only censored if you buy from somewhere like…I don’t know…Japan. Made that mistake with CP2077 as I live in Japan. This one is being purchased from my UK store though! Just don’t buy it from a region account that is big on censoring.
The only downside is the controller support really sucks, combat is a nightmare on controller, i use mouse and keyboard for combat but controller for exploration so if you can plug a keyboard into your PS5 (not sure if you can) it will make your experience 100xs better
@@FernandoGarcia-yk8evTBH though it’s actually a lot better than I’d feared, you can get pretty fast with them, especially if you re-arrange the radial menus so you can very quickly access the things you want as you know exactly where the things are!
Yeah. Have to disagree. This is one of the best controller implementations I've played for this type of game. The radial menus are pretty easy to use, especially once you get used to the placement of things. They are also customisable which can make them even easier.
I’m a big RPG fan, but this style of RPG isn’t my thing. Anyway I bought it because of the hype and to play it on my steamdeck. The game is hard, even on normal mode for people like me who don’t play this style of game. I’ll have you know I am an Elden lord btw. Anyway, took me about 15-20 hours before I started to get it. A lot of restarting battles. The story kept me HOOKED. It’s so crazy and I love how we all have vastly different play throughs because of our choices. Anyway I’m in act 2 at this point 35 hours in. I love it now. Honestly you need to get to level 4-5 before you can stomp enemies to a pulp(or at least that was my experience). Use your potions, consider what equipment synergies work with your party, and your placement on the battlefield are important. Also don’t be afraid to use a guide, you can miss out on some great rewards because you messed something up.
I felt the same way. It’s very strategic reminds me of like an old school starcraft game. Being able to put your pieces in the right positions to attack etc… turn based you get used to it very quickly and it’s pretty satisfying. Highly highly recommended.
If you liked XCOM, you’ll probably like this. It has similar strategic elements, with the addition of being able to move around and explore the world. It’s like the perfect combination of open world and SRPG

I want to like this game but the text size is so small
In Divinity2 there was no limit within a given act. I am still wondering how these cinematic dialogues work in split-screen.
Nice content ❤
I have no ps5, or pc so im stuck playing Divinity Orginal Sin. I figure if i like this then i'll like Bladurs gate.
Have they censored the ps5 version in any way? Anyone know?
It is identical to PC :)
It’s only censored if you buy from somewhere like…I don’t know…Japan. Made that mistake with CP2077 as I live in Japan. This one is being purchased from my UK store though!
Just don’t buy it from a region account that is big on censoring.
you really opened the video with multiclassing when thats among the most advanced things in the game.
Would've been wise to showcase controller footage in a "PS5" video, instead of exclusively mkb
Talking about the PS5 version and shows the PC version 😳
love how ur using a mouse on pc for a ps5 review.
I have never played a Baldurs gate or D&D. I saw this and just HAD to have it
I already bought it!!!
I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT
I getting this game.
Standard or deluxe?
The only downside is the controller support really sucks, combat is a nightmare on controller, i use mouse and keyboard for combat but controller for exploration so if you can plug a keyboard into your PS5 (not sure if you can) it will make your experience 100xs better
Not enough buttons on a ps5 controller? Is that what makes it a nightmare?
@@FernandoGarcia-yk8evThat is the root of the problem yeah, hence why they use radial menus so heavily to make up for that
@@FernandoGarcia-yk8evTBH though it’s actually a lot better than I’d feared, you can get pretty fast with them, especially if you re-arrange the radial menus so you can very quickly access the things you want as you know exactly where the things are!
Combat is not a 'nightmare' w the controller. Its pretty damn good actually.
Yeah. Have to disagree. This is one of the best controller implementations I've played for this type of game. The radial menus are pretty easy to use, especially once you get used to the placement of things. They are also customisable which can make them even easier.
I want a physical copy! And very disappointed.
I do not buy digital games at full price; only when they're for $15. Maybe, this will be an exception.
I hear you I'm not buying the digital copy, I'm waiting on the physical version.
There won't even be one, it hasn't been announced
Never played D&D and I’m in love with this game!
The Story, Good story, hooks you right into the game. imho
It’s funny Starfield and Baldur’s Gate is coming out the same day
Im new to d&d and man so much to learn but the game is lit! 🔥
Idk if this is my type of game. The only turned based game I was really fully interested in was xcom
If you enjoyed XCom you will enjoy BG3
I like XCOM and I praise Baldurs Gate 3.
@@Travel-Adv I’ll look into it when I get my next check
So excited to dive in! 30 mins to go! 😃
It isn't right? Can you actually play right now? It comes out at same time for everyone which means aus players get it on the 24th:/
@@yertbert1211 I preordered and it was available to play 30 mins after I posted that comment, 12pmEST.
Looks great and all but I don't buy games without a physical release. I need something in my hands when I spend money.
The most mouth-breathing gaming take
😂@@lokitheavaricious1341
Can't remember the last time I bought a physical game ahah, can't imagine having to get up to change games anymore...
@@nathantootill5984 lazy
@@nathantootill5984 God forbid you get off your ass to walk a couple feet. It's probably a good thing you don't handle discs you'd get cheeto dust all over them.
Why isn't anyone calling Larian out on the scummy 96 hours "early access" pre-order DLC?
Any other developer would be ripped apart for such scummery.
Nope
Honestly can't wait for people to make videos like 4 years from now titled "BG3 in 2027, is it worth it?!", cause I bet the answer across the board, will be absolutely yes, it's still beating out RPGs made today! XD
I’ve never played a pc rpg before I love console ones though this looks insane though especially the stuff you can do
I’m here because I completed baldurs gate 1 with my best friend back in high school and they don’t make any good co op games like they used to
Just hope they havnt ruined it with turn base attack or you have an option to turn that off
