    Just a heads up jk crew, Sample size means nothing, sample diversity is the true test of accuracy. 99% of scientific studies barely have more than 150 people participate because it saves them money and time. Plus if you have 1000 people in a study yet 800 out of that thousand come from middle class white neighborhoods than the study does not properly reflect the U.S population. however if you have 100 people participating in a study and half of them are male and the other half are female and everyone has a different arrangement of ethnicity and economic status Ex: 30 black 40 white 10 asian 20 hispanic with some of them coming for lower income environments, some coming from higher class environments some having different sexual orientations and religious beliefs etc... You then have a much better sample pool than the one with 1000 people because it more accurately represent our population.

    I totally agree that the whole showering debate depends on the individual. There's people out there who are extremely oily and should not be showering every other day because it's nasty, but there's people out there who are so dry they can go a couple days without showering and being totally fine. Same with sweating, if you are a sweater (excluding working out sweat because you need to shower after if you don't wanna be super nasty after) you should be showering more regularly but if you barely sweat it's not that necessary imo. In my case, my scalp is insanely dry so I can't wash my hair everyday or else it's crazy irritated and flaky. In the winter I can get away with showering every other day to every couple days because I don't sweat at all and don't have any b.o/basically not dirty. But in the summer it's the opposite, I have to shower almost everyday because I get so sweaty and feel gross because of the humidity and I need to get that shit off. I think I appreciate showering more in the summer because my skin doesn't feel extremely parched afterwards and I actually feel cleansed each time (like how David mentioned).
    I totally just rambled about showering woops

    This is actually true. People who are smarter can find ways to do things easier without actually moving as much while someone who isn't as smart will do it the harder way. It's why us humans are different than other animals. Humans use their brain to eat food and a lion will use their muscles to do it

    I believe there's a fine balance to it all.
    Someone who keeps busy isn't necessarily always being productive. If you guys ever worked any sort of job where you worked in a team, you'll know exactly what I mean. When the bosses come around, guess what? All your coworkers are scrambling around, "looking busy". When the boss is gone for the day, FUCK IT...no work gets done and everybody is fucking around.
    I think the problem is the whole "look busy" crap they instilled in our culture instead of actually being busy. That's why I prefer working alone or with one other person. When you're working in a group, every fucking body is slacking off...until they get a visit from Corporate Office or mid level managers...

  • @eekaygames
    @eekaygames 7 лет назад

    My coworker is really good at making excel macros to ease her daily duties. What would normally take 2 hours worth of work, she has reduced it down to 20 minutes. She calls herself lazy but the real definition for her is that she is efficient. She sees ways to make herself more efficient and spend her time on things that are more worth her time.
    Sadly, a lot of people work very hard but not smart. There's a big difference. I was watching this one show about penny-pinchers who do extreme things to save themselves money. One guy would go around town and visit every pay phone and vending machine and look for loose change. On weekends, he'd dumpster dive and salvage things. He maybe gets an extra $200-$300 extra a month from spending about 20+ hours a week doing that. To a lot of people they think this guy works very hard to save and be frugal but to me it's a waste of time because I think you can spend that time to learn a new skill that can earn you more money than just a few hundred bucks a month.

    • @DeathTheKidIsYummy

      Kain Gutierrez Well this study doesn't explain it very well. The idea is that a more active person is more likely to do their required task the way it's always been done because they don't care how long it takes. We'll use cutting vegetables an an example; so an active person would just use a knife to cut their vegetables because "it's here, might take a while but I have time". However a lazy person has the mindset of "Fuck it. I don't have time to cut vegetables, who has time to cut vegetables?" so that type of person is more likely to invent an alternative, pre cut vegetables, tomato slicers, breeding smaller vegetables so you don't even need to cut them.
      That is the logic behind lazy is smarter. But it's not true. Lazy people are more likely to be more EFFICIENT, if they're intelligent then that is also a bonus.

    Shady people are the real geniuses. They get their share your share and anyone's share if they can get away with it. Most people say those guys are smart which they are. A better name for them is shady abusive hypocrites. Those are the people who instill fear in you to follow the rules but they break them whenever they can to gain the upperhand. I prefer hanging out with good smart people that do not abuse the system. Even if all they can give me is genuine friendship I value that above all else.

    there's a difference between being intelligent and smart. An idiot can be smart, an idiot can know more but a subject than a genius but the idiot will have a harder time understanding it. A genius doesn't just "know" everything, we were all stupid at some point and unknowledgeable about the world. a genius has to learn just like an idiot, and the way a genius learns is extraordinary compared to an idiot.
