@@drivingwithstu I think the lack of power seats has to do with the fact that the electronics would be below the water fording depth. It would also add weight. Anyhow, I’ve had a jeep for a year and don’t miss the power seats.
I just bought a new 4xe. This is my fifth Wrangler and eleventh Jeep. It works great for me I can go to work and back home in electric mode. I've only driven it 800 miles so far and still haven't had to put gasoline in it yet.
I got a 2023 4XE in October..I love it. I have a hard top and cant wait for it to warm up to be able to take the whole top off. I love the power seats in my Dodge Ram
The handling takes a little getting used to, but I'm actually very impressed with the JL's highway manners even in tight corners and unexpected maneuvers. For a vehicle that sits as high as it does, it handles very well. As far as fuel economy, that was one of my biggest turn offs. However; I purchased the EcoDiesel and I get 30+ mpg highway with it. Even in city driving with lots of idling I get 24 mpg. Overall, I'm averaging 26-28 mpg combined even when towing things around in my utility trailer. The EcoDiesel also has 442 ft/lbs of torque. Too bad they're phasing it out after 2023. I like the infotainment setup, I don't need a movie screen. The integration with Android is pretty seamless and works better than many of the systems I've used over the years. There's not a ton of dash space on these, so I'm not convinced a bigger screen would be an improvement. Great pro/con video!
I think handling manners are highly subjective. I got a Jeep JL 9 months ago and coming from a lifted pickup with 35” tires, found the Jeep easier to drive. Now my sister in law bought a Jeep about 6 months ago and she couldn’t stop complaining about its highway manners. She came from a crew cab luxury F-150. I’ve driven her Jeep and it’s identical to mine.
@@drivingwithstu no need for power. Once you set it you are done and I don’t have to worry about the electronics. I have a 2023 392 and I’m so glad I have it rather than what’s coming for 2024.

Jeeps are not luxury cars. They are functional, thats whats to love.
The 4XE is the worst option for fuel economy if your upgrading to larger tires, you end up constantly driving on the overweighted 2.0 turbo which eats up gas in a hurry. The diesel is the best engine they put out even with overpriced diesel at the pumps it's still economical. I'm running 37x13.5 tires on my and barely notice. Sure not the smoking economy i used to get but compared to anything built for big tires on the road it's #1!
The eco diesel has 442 ft/lbs of torque. The 4XE has 470 ft/lbs of torque. The 4XE can use the electric power on demand to help move bigger tires. Those stats indicate the 4XE would be better for moving tires 🤷♂️. But let's see what it's like real world, my 4XE Rubi should arrive in a few months and I will be putting on 35-37 inch tires, lets compare economy then and find the answer.
@@drivingwithstu I have 3 friends who off road or used to off road the 4XE, only 2 of them do now because they got rid of them. The 4xe becomes reliant on the gas engine with bigger tires, and the 2.0 turbo is not economical with the extra weight 4xe. This is just a fact, plus you're not factoring in that the 4xe is heavier than even a 392 Rubicon, and yes 2 of my friends have these. My Rubicon Diesel also known as the JLURD 4.50 teraflex lift, 37x13.50x17 cooper stt pros, I'm an avid member of 4LOWBC and founder of our own club Club18RUBI+. The 4xe is a grocery getter but the worst wrangler ever produced for 4wheeling. They are having chronic transmission, t-case, and electrical problems. This seems worse for wheeler owners.
You forgot all about the 392. I agree with what everyone says after driving one. Hands down best riding and handling wrangler made so far. Good video though.
Considering the lengths that Jeep has gone to in order to please the khaki slack and polo shirt wearing crowd, the complaint for power seats falls on deaf ears. A jeep is a utilitarian vehicle which has unfortunately been refined to the point of being just another overpriced cross over, with two solid axles. Since the inception of the wrangler in 1987, the jeep maintained that utilitarian platform with a few "bolted on" amenities for comfort through the tj line, and then went full out mall crawler with the jku. A jeep should have two doors and the inside should be able to handle the same weather as the outside.
I bought a '23 JLU Sport S Altitude in Aug of '23. The good and the bad about a Wrangler, is how owners keep customizing their vehicle. I bought a lower trim level to make my modifications more cost effective. Fuel economy with the 3.6L can vary. But up to 65mph, my Wrangler gets the same fuel economy as my '20 Dodge Durango with the same engine. Compared to my Durango, the tow capability is pitiful. I bought mine to tow behind our Diesel powered Ram 2500 Crewcab 4wd, that carries a 4wheel popup camper. Also my wife should drive the Wrangler for local driving, instead of the truck. Problem is, my grandkids are trying to convince me that I bought it for them. Handling is good. It really depends on the tires. I will change to a Dynatrack 2" lift kit. Which should enhance the ride and flex on the trail.

Really don’t agree about the entertainment system. The Uconnect system is better than most. I’ve had a wrangler for a year now and have been very happy with that aspect.
Glad to hear you are enjoying it so far. I had no issues with the screen in my Wrangler however I know the modern day customer will expect more when cross shopping other comparable vehicles.

The stereo system is "awesome" and you said it all about the exterior styling. While they are expensive, the Jeep Wrangler is an awesome machine. Great video.
I would rate it as a 6/10 as a daily driver. If comfort is your top priority, this may not be the vehicle for you. However! If the features that make the Jeep awesome outweigh the comfort factor, then maybe it's tje perfect vehicle for you.
Can anyone who owned a wrangler somewhat long time please tell me their truth on the reliability of the vehicle? I see people in other comment sections saying it’ll break in a bunch of different areas over a short amount of mileage. I just don’t want another project while paying such a steep price. I drive normally 3 miles to work daily and sometimes on the highway, but not extremely often.
I have owned a Wrangler but the answer really depends if you are buying new or used. If you are buying a new 2024 I would say this is Jeeps most reliable platform to date. For longevity, probably opt for the V6 engine option. If you are going used it really depends on the year, trim, powertrain configuration and intended use. I would say, figure out whether you are going to use the Jeep as a daily driver, rock crawler or both. If you are leaning more towards rock crawling I'd opt for a Rubicon. Once you have established that, find a used one in your budget and research that individual year and powertrain. I hope this helps and earns a subscriber!
I have been saving for a Chrysler Jeep for the past few years. I currently own a Jeep Cherokee Limited edition. I have also desired to purchase a Jeep Wrangler for hunting and mountain biking. My neighbor bought a new wrangler AND SHE HAS TO PURCHASE A NEW FRICKEN FRONT WINDSHIELD EVERY YEAR DUE TO THD LOUSY ASS DESIGN THAT ALLOWS ROCKS TO HIT THE CURRENT DESIGNED WINDSHIELD TO CRACK!! I’m done with Chrysler with their previous transmission issues and now designed related windshield issues. Yes, Wranglers are bad ass looking but their quality continues to SUCK. Ford Bronco…Here I Fricken come baby!!!!
Sorry to hear you had some bad experiences Rick although if you plan on doing any level of off-roading I would advise against the Bronco as the design is far inferior to the Jeep Wrangler and could leave you stranded on trails that the Jeep would have otherwise championed.
My roof is detachable when I’m on the highway, full speed, it sounds like air is coming in. I don’t like it and regret it. I really wanted the roof that is not detachable but this was all they had and I was in need of a ride.
I also disagree with the power seats. If the interior gets filled up with water it’s gonna take out the motors anyway, I’d rather have manual it’s not a comfort SUV. It’s a jeep it’s not meant for real comfort.
I like Wrangler very much, but I know she is cold in winter, and hot in summer, too noise , uncomfortable in backseat, leaking water of roof. I wish there is modification that can solve these issues
Imo this is a con too me and that is that the wrangler is small! I’d like for them to make it a bit bigger for us taller big folks!! If they made it a bit more spacious I would most definitely buy one!! Wishful thinking though 😔
@@drivingwithstu man I hear u on that but it sucks to b in one with my size lol. Decent comfort when I’m on the passenger side but on the driver side I’m damn near knees to dash lol. One can wish it’ll expand a bit
Well stated. I have a JLUR on 4.5 inches lift and 38's along with a host of many other goodies as seen on my little channel jeepNdirt. I've been a jeeper for 26 years and can simplify the general thought's about the wrangler by simply stating "it's a jeep"!!! There will always be pro's and con's to any vehicle but the latest wrangler (JL) truly raised the bar for the entire wrangler series and gives a great platform for many uses. My jeep as seen handles and rides great as is due to simple design of the new JL and how easy it is to get the suspension tuned well. Much easier than the old TJ's and YJ's. Lol. Long live the wrangler!!!! Lol. Good stuff man.
im sorry did this reviewer seriously say the wrangler is not ideal for "high speed handling and performance"???? im sorry lets remember that the CJs and YJs were notorious for rollovers, and no one looking to buy a wrangler is interested in its "high speed handling and performance" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you might as well have said "Con: it is not a sports car" and it would have been equally as ridiculous of a statement. also literally none of your "cons" are anything that a jeep owner and enthusiast cares about in the slightest. no one buys a 4wd brick expecting it to corner like a vette, have no wind noise while going down the road, have power seats, have a banging audio system or have spectacular fuel mileage (note my V6 w/ E-Torque 2023 JLU gets 20mpg average). you buy a wrangler to cruise with the top and doors off and/or go play in the mud, through the woods, and over rocks. power seats dont fair so well when they are wet 😉
Regarding the info-entertainment system, we bought a new 2023 Grand Cherokee L Limited with the new spanky Uconnet5. What a piece of garbage! I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a Jeep/Dodge/Ram with the Uconnect5. In fact, JD Power lowered their rating on the Ram due the issues from Uconnect5.
Litres per 100 km? Power seats? Peace out.
Finally! Power seats on the 2024s Charlie!
You forgot to mention resale value . These things hold there value like a mofo
Great point! You're absolutely right!
Folding the front windshield down. Rock to the face!!!!
🤣
11.7 MPG is 100% incorrect. I have the 23 Willys Recon and I average 20.3MPG so far.
I know I was confused too but he was talking about L/KM
Liters per 100km "Canadian"
I’m looking at a 2016 or 2020 Willy 2door. Any recommendations?
My roof is detachable when I’m on the highway, full speed, it sounds like air is coming in. I don’t like it and regret it. I really wanted the roof that is not detachable but this was all they had and I was in need of a ride.
I'm with you there. The hard top with the headliner options would be much better for sound reduction.
Jeep should make an on road daily driver, long distance travel, reliable version of the wrangler.
Many other companies have this covered already.
@@amadablam8229 I agree but they dont look like jeeps.
The Grand Cherokee is that vehicle!
Valid points! Best modification to solve these issues: a Grand Cherokee!
@ 🤣
Imo this is a con too me and that is that the wrangler is small! I’d like for them to make it a bit bigger for us taller big folks!! If they made it a bit more spacious I would most definitely buy one!! Wishful thinking though 😔
Agreed Sergio! They could be a bit bigger for tall folks like you and I. However, that would mean a longer wheel base and less capability off road.
@@drivingwithstu man I hear u on that but it sucks to b in one with my size lol. Decent comfort when I’m on the passenger side but on the driver side I’m damn near knees to dash lol. One can wish it’ll expand a bit
I love it❤
Thank you!
My 2024 has power seats
Nice chage for 2024s but only in models with leather.
@@drivingwithstu I bought the high altitude model
I would say you can also find a full 370° open experience in the Bronco but no one can afford those so yeah it’s really just Jeep doing that…
Well stated.
Thanks for the awesome comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and I have subscribed to your channel Jeep-N-Dirt!
Top speed?
I'm not sure on the 3.6L V6 Rubicon but I know the 392 tops out at 113mph.
im sorry did this reviewer seriously say the wrangler is not ideal for "high speed handling and performance"???? im sorry lets remember that the CJs and YJs were notorious for rollovers, and no one looking to buy a wrangler is interested in its "high speed handling and performance" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you might as well have said "Con: it is not a sports car" and it would have been equally as ridiculous of a statement. also literally none of your "cons" are anything that a jeep owner and enthusiast cares about in the slightest. no one buys a 4wd brick expecting it to corner like a vette, have no wind noise while going down the road, have power seats, have a banging audio system or have spectacular fuel mileage (note my V6 w/ E-Torque 2023 JLU gets 20mpg average). you buy a wrangler to cruise with the top and doors off and/or go play in the mud, through the woods, and over rocks. power seats dont fair so well when they are wet 😉
You know how much to fix power seats when there's a problem with it? Manual seats are way better
Power seats add weight to.
Valid point!
Thank you Mr Stew
Lawn chairs more comfortable.
Gold Jerry!
Gas mileage MPG is rated at 20, NOT 11.7
L/100km
The four-door Jeep isn't a real jeep. It's a trail rated minivan. The last real Jeeps were in 2006
1941 even? 😄
Hmm
Hmmmmm indeed!
While talking about road noise, pointless music blasting in the background. 🤦♂
We traded our Grand L in after only 6 months for a new 2023 Cherokee Trailhawk with good old tried and proven Uconnect4!
Good point, the new system in the 24 Wrangler and Gladiator has yet to be tested. I love the new system and hoping we don't see bugs like we did in the GC.
@@drivingwithstu I might be buying a new Wrangler tomorrow. It's a Willy's with a stick. I really don't need it, but you only live once.
@AStanton1966 are you located in Canada? Happy to hook it up if so!
@@drivingwithstu No, I'm in the Northeast part of States. You are very kind.
@AStanton1966 I hope it goes well. The Willy's is a great package.
man. I’d love to cruise in a forest via electric mode. good call.
I come from the future. #3 has been solved, but gray alliens have conquered earth 😢
Love this!! 🤣
Hey, look guy it’s a jeep it’s supposed to be loud it’s not supposed to drive like a car. It’s a jeep for off-road enthusiast. Stop trying to compare it to a luxury SUV or an SUV. It’s a jeep.
Too many people buy a Jeep Wrangler, and then don’t use it for what it is build for!
Fair statement!
Why do you need power seats so bad? I do not like the computer crap in cars. Actually I hate all new vehicles. I think ill stick with my 2000 Cherokee XJ
That's what jeep Wranglers need - an 11" screen.
Good grief
Thanks for the comment!
My question is if you want power seats why would you buy a Wrangler?
Again, with all the electronics it’s a jeep built for a trail every day driver it doesn’t need half the electronics it has the ruining the Jeep
Plug in is about 300kg more. Fat then normal. 3. 6 is another shit.
What is your favourite engine ever released in the Wrangler?
@@drivingwithstu my dreem is 6.4 hemi, im own cheroke 4.0 straight 6
But about x mass Will buy 2017 wrangler rubicon 3.6.
This 4.0 engin is absolutly no problem have over 400k km done i like it
@mariojuras8649 I would love to have the 6.4L as well. What a beast. The old 4.0L is a solid engine and has been a fan favorite for a long time. What trim level will you go with on the new Jeep?
@@drivingwithstu wish to have rubicon long wersion. Or sahara im. Dont do exyreem offroad. More to have trawel with family
@@mariojuras8649 Sahara or a Sport might be perfect?
🤠
Hybrid jeep?! Ah no ty 😂
I have no idea why someone would buy a jeep over a Bronco but whatever.
That's a good question!
Jeep was cool till they dropped the Diesel for Biden loving EPA.
Now they have the 4XE, even better!
@@drivingwithstu I'm hanging on to mine! 24 mpgs with 35s and 3.5 inch lift (Diesel Rubicon). Colorado and Tennessee off road trips. Torque without charge time. Can't wait to take my diesel to Utah.
Amazing rig! I am a big fam of the diesel as well but I love the 470 foot pound of torque on the 4XE. Just ordered a Rubicon. Your Jeep would be amazing in Utah!
My wife has the 4xe and it’s awesome.
I like my 2000 Cherokee better
The golden age!
Lol 👍🏾
No you shouldn't buy junk! Tj is the last true, real Jeep!!! Fiat buying Chrysler ruined the Jeep!!! You want luxury and technology buy a Cadillac!!!
Thank you for your input and thank you for watching.
Save yourself Thousands with all theJeep hype and get a Hummer H3! Does everything the Jeep does and better at other things! It’s a bargain for what you get but if your like the Harley guys and need someone to wave at you or be part of a club than I can’t help ya😂
Which H3 are you referring to? After 10 years in the automotive industry, every H3 we've encountered has been of poor quality/reliability, terrible fuel economy, and even worse off-road maneuverability. The Hummer H1 on the other hand, now that is an incredible off-road machine!
@@drivingwithstu I have a Hummer h3 2007 with 232,000 miles on her she never would fail you.I retired her for all the daily driving and off roading might sell her don't know yet, picked up a 2024 jeep wrangler 2 door sport s 2.0 and she is a real exciting drive. I'm just wondering if she'll last as long as my hummer that's the question 😉
almost every time i see a flood on the news, i always see a Jeep driving through like a boss. i own a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited but i’ve secretly always wanted a Jeep Wrangler either Sahara unlimited or Rubicon ever since 2011 and with a 2 inch lift w 35” tires. 🫠😊✨💕i wouldnt have to worry about flooding hehe just gas… i really like to drive to get fresh air and talk to God so the biggest con is that Jeeps are gas guzzlers but still super thankful to have a Jeep of some kind. 😊✨
