Greg, I enjoy your channel more than most. Your editing is great, your videos are the perfect length, and you never post 'clickbait' on your channel. It's really really refreshing. Keep it up, don't change a thing and tight lines!
Haha I have 3 videos I think on the channel where they come right at the boat. Nothing really crazy but they're too big and too curious at times. I've found that my motor scares them off tho
What an eventful day!!!! Awesome job landing that one that took off behind the kayak I would of been in the water for sure !!!!! Stay safe !!! Happy fishing!!!!!
Striper are such a blast! Catching them out in the surf is soo fun! My biggest was last year, 39 inches 25.5 pounds (released) and she hit a top water. She probably swimming around in that delta system right about now or on her way back out to me haha.
Thx for sharing another great vid Greg. Striper season opened up on the 15th here in the North East Long Island. State closed down the whole area where I fish in the Spring for Covid19 drive-thru. so gotta look for new spots. Take care. Go Rehab crew.
A good swimbait I like to use for striper is the livetarget shad they always crush it and is easy to take out of there mouths one of my go to striper baits
Good vid man! Can’t wait for some top water bone spook striper fishing in the delta. Still waiting for my bigfish 108 to be delivered and rig her up and get some. I can see why the waders come in handy now! 🤣
That last one was epic. They taste so good, but really only if bled and iced right away. I usually will bring one or two home when on a boat. Bleed, gut and iced. Hmmmmm. Delicious. I call them the barracuda of fresh water. Looks like it was cold that day. When will we get honest sunshine!!!!!!! Take care.
I know this an older video but have you ever used the 6th Sense Flow Glider to target large mouth? Looks like a good inexpensive glide bait. Thanks as always Greg
Lol..Great beautiful fish Greg. Don't you hate when you catch a pb, and just don't wanna let it go. You just wanna keep it with you, while your fishing in the kayak. I know I've felt like that, but gotta release them quickly. But good fishing bro..
I felt for you with the treble hooks. I never gave them a thought until I caught a huge crappie on a flicker shad. It flipped at just the wrong second and jammed the second hook deep into my thumb. The pissed off crappie still on the other hook. I sat there for a min thinking emergency room...but I had my daughter and nephew out kayaking with me. I figured what would I do if it was in a fish? I grabbed my pliers and just yanked it out. So glad I did because it didn't even hurt about a min later.
Those are the standard size school fish (10-12lbs) you'll find when drifting the Sherman Island slot... but, we've caught fish there that spooled our bait casters..
8:43, yeah stripers runs in school so once you catch one you find the pack or unless it's by its self. so that try to land your fish fast and get it out for another cast.
Congrats on the tag and that new pb! You'll get some $$ off of that tag if I am correct. This is why you should do more striper fishing! Haha. Love it. Keep it up. Right now, stripers are coming in hottttt!!!
not to send the herd to some place from a video, but are you near grizzley or suisin bay or some area off Montezuma? im wondering how far inland theyre hanging out right now.
Will you make a video some day of you unloading and loading your kayak back up ? I’m interested if you are using a trailer and what you take off your kayak each time to drive home etc.
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf lately =)
Flow Glider 130 - Shad Scales- wow that looks like a real shad. I bought some actual shad at Gotcha Gaitshop in Antioch a few years. Yeah, it looks more realistic than the bone S-Waver everbody uses
Had to do some research on the tagged fish. Seems there is a "Catch. Cut. Report" program where you get a reward/gift for catching a tagged fish. I would have assumed it was part of a tagging program done by Fish & Wildlife or some other conservation agency it would be extremely important NOT to remove it (fish tissues and muscles grow around tags over the years) so it can be tracked for years to come, but to just report the number to said agency. Today I learned :)
Man couple nice catches there. And congrats on the PB. I never use a net when Im fishing but I do use fish grips to get ahold of the fish if Im using a bait with trebble hooks. Really dont want those in my hand out in the middle of the lake. If Im using baits with a single hook I just grab the fishes lower lip. Well unless it ends up being a pike or something like that.
Really like your vids man I think your pretty hard on your self sometimes though your a good angler!!! Man plz let me know if them gloves your wearing really keep the cold wind off your hands and keep them warm? I really need a pair my hands get demolished quickly good luck and keep the good content coming
Hey man you probably won’t see this but I was wondering which part of the delta this is? I usually fish around discovery bay for little schoolies but it’s way too busy and the fish are usually small. It would be much appreciated👊🏻
Congrats!!!! I was wondering if you could recommend a general workhorse thats similar (in ease of braking) to a tatula SV. I have been using a Tatula SV for 5months and wanted to try something different. I’m usually throwing baits 1/8-1/2oz. Thanks for any guidance
That is some great footage! 60fps is incredible! What is your audio setup? There is no change in your great audio quality from both cameras. BTW find out if you get a reward for the tag.
Great video, Greg! Thanks. "Ever have one of those moments when you just know a bait is going to get clobbered?". Um, no. Is that a thing?? I so need to work on some confidence.
One of your first few times targeting stripers and you nailed it! I've been trying to find them every where in the delta and man oh man I am struggling. Any general areas anyone ? ;))
Greg, I enjoy your channel more than most. Your editing is great, your videos are the perfect length, and you never post 'clickbait' on your channel. It's really really refreshing. Keep it up, don't change a thing and tight lines!
Can't beat a striper bite! I'm on the east coast and we are in the middle of the Spring run of stripers. Can't beat it. Great vid Greg!
The look you always give when you think a sea lion is around is priceless!!! Give us your sea lion story,,, it’s gotta be good!!! Thxs for vid.
I figure sea lions to Californians is like big alligators to Texans.
Haha I have 3 videos I think on the channel where they come right at the boat. Nothing really crazy but they're too big and too curious at times. I've found that my motor scares them off tho
watching this video makes me want to get a kayak and do this exact type of fishing so badly 😂
What an eventful day!!!! Awesome job landing that one that took off behind the kayak I would of been in the water for sure !!!!! Stay safe !!! Happy fishing!!!!!
Greg is my daily news update on the Delta...this is why i watch him and subscribe
That’s what it’s like landing redfish down here. They pull hard and pull you around. A lot of fun for sure. Great video Greg. Yep.
I love hearing the excitement in those laughs!! Makes you feel like a kid again lol. Awesome day of fishing man!
Bradley Houston Greg is the man! Best Kayak fisherman out there!
@@Kaiu I love how you saw my comment lol Ive been watching him for 2 years now and I cry every time I see his Yak....its perfect.
Bradley Houston hahaha oh yes! His kayak is nasty! And yeah jus started watching him maybe 4-5 months ago! Such a genuine dude and great fisherman
Sweet, new upload from Greg “new PB” Blanchard
Looked like fun AF out there, battling big stripers! 😎🎣📹👍
You really went out for stripers😮
Kudos to you 💪
I love that Glide bait caught a 7 pound 3 oz large mouth on it this year my PB it really works and apparently for stripers to

I used to fish that spot from the bank growing up ! Great times!

Really like your videos I just started following. Between you, chad hoover, and fluke master, that's I need.
Spot on! BS-free fishing channels man! They're getting rare.
Check out NDyakAngler as well. Amazing content.
You and NDYakAngler posted videos on the same day. Always fun!!
I know this an older video but have you ever used the 6th Sense Flow Glider to target large mouth? Looks like a good inexpensive glide bait. Thanks as always Greg
That was a good day of fishing, man! I totally wish you would have gotten measurements on that first one. It was a monster!
Lol..Great beautiful fish Greg. Don't you hate when you catch a pb, and just don't wanna let it go. You just wanna keep it with you, while your fishing in the kayak. I know I've felt like that, but gotta release them quickly. But good fishing bro..

Ah, yeah Kevin, thats the fear for sure especially with a fish still connected. Happens so quick.
Man that was so freaking awesome I'm never caught big striper like that

You got to love it when a plan comes together. You nailed them. I think I might have to invest in some 6th Sense swim jigs. Enjoyed the video
You need to be tossing a Lunker Punker. That's a Delta Striper killer!! Great vid and editing
What kind of rod were you throwing that glide bait on? Looked like either an iRod or Dobyns fury. Nice job on the Stripers!
irod genesis II flip/pitch. Thanks Mike!
I love catching stripers its been a couple years since I have had a chance to fish for them.
What boat launch do you go to
Sounds like you are enjoying striper fishing more then bass fishing ahahah keep them videos coming man
Greg you are a fishing beast
Congrats on the tag and that new pb! You'll get some $$ off of that tag if I am correct. This is why you should do more striper fishing! Haha. Love it. Keep it up. Right now, stripers are coming in hottttt!!!
Great job with those stripers man. You just gave me a new bait to add onto my tackle box. Thanks. Keep it up man
At the 10:00 mark that’s a hybrid...awesome Greg!!!!
No hybrids in the delta just a striper with weird stripes. There's also hybrids with straight line stripes but its rare
Pumped that you're with 6th sense! I order from them often, and I'll be using your code from now on!
Where did you launch out of?
not to send the herd to some place from a video, but are you near grizzley or suisin bay or some area off Montezuma? im wondering how far inland theyre hanging out right now.
Where abouts was this at? Looks similar to big break area by me. But honestly could be anywhere on the delta.
Will you make a video some day of you unloading and loading your kayak back up ? I’m interested if you are using a trailer and what you take off your kayak each time to drive home etc.
I just throw it in the bed of the truck (but the kayak is fully stripped)
Greg Blanchard how long does it take you to unload and load ?
I bet those hit like a freight train and looks like a killer fight. WTG on the PB striper.
Tight Lines!
Buen día
Este lugar es hermoso, tiene muchos peces, su pesca es increíble, felicidades.👍🎣🐠😉

@Cody Dylan Yup, been watching on Instaflixxer for since december myself :D
Yeeeeeeeeee yeee swimbait Sunday’s
Flow Glider 130 - Shad Scales- wow that looks like a real shad. I bought some actual shad at Gotcha Gaitshop in Antioch a few years. Yeah, it looks more realistic than the bone S-Waver everbody uses
Another awesome video to get me through Quarantine
Nice stripers! I'm definitely picking up one of those glide baits.
Can’t ask for a cooler outing. Great vid bud!
GREG!
Do you ever re-use your soft plastics when you switch them out @2:33 or are they trashed once you take them off the hook?
I don't Abe! I have some Mend it on deck tho just in case I need to re-use some

New rods?
Another killer video! I'd love to catch a good sized striper like that one day.
Post a video of you returning or the process of the fish tag . Nice catches !!!
LOVE your content man! I appreciate you getting me through quarantine!
Great job I miss catching the big ones out there
Awesome content. Bro you deserve more sub. And your not a sell out fisherman like other youtuber fisherman that don’t do fishing.
Damn the flow glider is so affordable! The striper are moving up in my home river. I'll have to throw one!
Damn that’s skills Greg! Nice catch!
Stinks getting caught in low tide. At least you were not in a full size boat.. Some nice striper action.
Awesome PB Greg... and great video
Crazy stripe pattern on that thing. Nice!
Would love to see more stripes fishing video . Nice job on them biggen !!!

Cool thing about the tagged fish it could be a reward tag worth $20-$100. According to DFG website
Winner winner striper dinner 🍻
Looks like the striper fever is getting to you now
Did u install your boonedox cart urself or have someone do it for u?
I watch all your videos and are very helpful for lure choich. But you need to say what canal or area of the delta you are fishing
Greg you're a awesome fisherman I always enjoy your videos and tips. Just wondering part of the delta you went to?
Hey what kind of Pen is that when you colored the tail??? Awesome PB by the way
Thanks Tony, spike it marker
@@GregBlanchardFishing thank you
Where did you launch your kayak?
sick day greg! that looked like a blast!. which IROD were u fishing that glide on? genesis 2 large swim?
Thanks John! Genesis 2 is right but its the flip/pitch!
Hey man you probably won’t see this but I was wondering which part of the delta this is? I usually fish around discovery bay for little schoolies but it’s way too busy and the fish are usually small. It would be much appreciated👊🏻
I ran into a school of carp on Lake Whitney in TX. It is kinda creepy.
Can you do a rod arsenal?
did one last yearon the channel and really not much has changed
What rod do you use for that glide bait?
irod genesis II
That was sick! Congrats on the PB striper.
Did you ever tun in the tag?
6th Sense is the BEST bait company in business right now. Dont @ me!!!
I haven't tried their baits yet, but I really want to. Do you suggest anything?
James Canady their paint jobs are the best
@@jamescanady3442 6th Sense Quake Lipless. It's so good. The stock trebles are too big so replace them with smaller hooks. But that bait is too good
@@jamescanady3442 crush 50 and 100x
I need to get my hands on a lure from them.
Dang Greg, your bundled up like it’s 30 degrees out there. Cali weather a little crazy right now.

Thanks! I actually use all audio from my chest cam and just overlay on the other cameras clips
Great video, Greg! Thanks.
"Ever have one of those moments when you just know a bait is going to get clobbered?". Um, no. Is that a thing?? I so need to work on some confidence.
Thanks! I think it was just the fact that the one follower I had after a couple minutes. Just was feeling it lol
Where are you launching from
Greg your one hell of an angler. Love the content.
NICE! Good job! Enjoy your vids! I love fishing the delta!
Awesome video, I love that secret spot!
I've never caught a xxxxxx fish either.... Great video..... Next time fish 30 to 45 min before and or after the tide.
You don’t take the tag unless you keep the fish if I’m correct
Another great video, Those stripers were beast... Tight lines bro
Finally some striper actions
So badass dude! Congrats on the PB!
Love your enthusiasm, great pb's
One of your first few times targeting stripers and you nailed it! I've been trying to find them every where in the delta and man oh man I am struggling. Any general areas anyone ? ;))
Nice bro, even for a 3 catch video its not bad, videos are hard to make so appreciate the work
Great catch and congrats on the pb
Theyre verry abundant in the bay... we had a quadruple header and landed 10 keepers in about 1 hour span .
Awesome video, Greg! Maybe try a s waver next time
How much do you reckon that PB striper weighed? Great video. Very exciting!
Ah, so bad at guessing weights but I'd say 12 pounds!
