I love your channel and am watching a lot of your videos right now. Your ability to move on to the current shot is goals for me. If nothing else, the occasional blowup provides your viewers with more shots per video. Creating value for your viewers is the name of the game :D
Way to stay positive thru the round! If you laugh and remember your out to have a fun time it's all good. Shout to Steven, looking forward to seeing more videos with that gentleman!
With your topped shots with your hybrid, try putting the ball back in your stance a bit. Just in front of centre. Should make your contact a lot better as you're catching the ball on the upswing. Great video though man, and good mental fortitude to keep your head up and still hit some great shots after getting caught in those bunkers! All the best.
I played my very first course today, 146 shots for 18 holes.... watching your progress gives me hope that I'll improve... Great content, very entertaining.
Thanks Dennis, you helped me come back down to earth and appreciate why I started golf in the first place. You have brought me back down to earth! Pleasure watching you and even more of a pleasure having a round with you. Keep them coming. 👍
Dennis(The Menace), I was nervous watching this pal! Some lovely shots, but that course looks TOUGH! Stephen seems like a great guy. Gave you some top advice without complicating things too much. We live to fight another day brother. 😉
Just discovered your channel. I'm leaning in my chair when the ball heads offline, willing every putt in. Fantastic stuff, hope you keep enjoying your golf.
Great effort Dennis, so many times I thought you'd turned a corner only to blob, that's the way it goes sometimes but you kept a smile regardless, a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to some of these 277 yard driver bombs you've been hitting in the range making their way to the course :)
Hi mate, love the channel and it’s great watching you progress. I’m a high handicapper also (24 currently) and watching you I can’t help but think you do sometimes try to ‘melt’ the ball. I tend to plan to use all of my shots when playing. Watching golf sidekick on here has definitely helped. Keep it up mate 👍👍
Great video Dennis! Unlucky with some of your shots there pal, we all have the off days with our game! Least your giving it a crack at these events and all the while with a smile on your face! Steven is good craic too! On to the next mate 🏌🏻♂️⛳️
Good to see that you remained positive and could still laugh despite this course giving you a fair old beating, it's a tough track and doubly so off of the tips. Great experience though and look forward to seeing you bring back the driver into your game as this will make a massive difference to how you play this maddeningly frustrating sport👍👍
I was there just last week, didn't manage to get on the PGA but played the Derby, cracking place with some wicked hard courses... good effort, enjoyed it 👍
mate from one high handicapper to another, i love your attitude. / confidence. So much like me, Enter the comps, see what happens. just enjoy the sport, enjoy the day and enjoy life...keep up the good work mate. Ever read a book called 'Bounce' ? It's brilliant if you haven't .. All about mindset ..
Buddy, when you start to struggle. You slow that backswing down. That's not your move. Speed that backswing up. That 4 HB you hit on 10 fairway. Then you followed it up with that wedge. The backswing pace on those was good. P.S. Your a really good putter from 10 feet and in. And just stay out of the sand. Lol On a serious note about the sand. There are new drop rules that apply to bunkers. If your in a bunker that you know your not getting out of. The new rules might help.
@@mikekooz475 yeah agree. I was fighting with my swing all day to be honest. It was only today after a good month of searching that I feel I’ve found my form again
Was waiting for this for so long, great content as usual and delighted to see Steve there. I always have the mentality when playing with mates that won't hit their driver. Surely your bad shot with a hybrid or iron is worse than your bad shot with your driver. We all duff a tee shot in a round but can I ask why you've backed off the driver so much lately? Is it a mental thing? Again, love the content and can't get over the optimism you have when the backs against the wall
Love your videos, that I really can relate to! Can you share your setup of camera + tripod, and software to trace the ball in the videos? Would love to have that for personal record.
@@BogeyGolfUK great analysis from Steven ... I got a lesson which was a swing analysis and it helped me see my swing and how I was hanging around on the right and ending up fatting shots. Also got a lesson on hitting my hybrids off the fairway and I was too steep and fatting. What Steven was telling you about moving forward to left instead coming out of swing is golden for consistency.
@@westsighed yeah 100%. If I’m honest my swing ask day was off. I don’t know if you’ve ever had it where you surely forget all the feels you referenced before😂
@@BogeyGolfUK God yeah! Couple of weeks ago I was shanking all my wedges!! Had to have a serious word with maself in the mirror and get some practice in! Lol
Hey mate I watched your round, I know it was 9months ago… I’m no golf pro but you hit fairly well just your feet were aimed way off to the right.. it was a shame because I’m sure if you looked back and aimed the feet closer to middle fairway some of those OB balls would’ve been in fairway.. good luck with your golf journey
For an amateur event, that rough was severe! The fairways looked very tight. I do not believe that the balance was right for the level of golf. What was the minimum handicap for the tournament?
It was maxed out at 28hcp so I was at the upper edge for sure. A guy off single digits won so very well deserved. It’s great to play these type of bucket list courses though
Some of those bunkers are Evil! Beating a dead horse here, but that 4 Horrible club has to go. Congratulations on not falling down the slope over that bunker on 12(?). Gads, what a lie.
I had the exact same issue as you with bunkers. This video, especially the first section has helped me immensely. The aim for me is just to get out and putting - best of luck ruclips.net/video/XFkVfKZ2Sfw/видео.html PS. you may have inspired me to enter this years tournament

Love it. So positive all the way through with a massive smile. The only way to play high handy cap golf. Keep up the good work
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it. Was a tough day at the office
I was so happy to see Stephen pop on the screen as caddy 😂 Looks like a great course and experience
Ahh it was amazing! Shame about the golf🤣
Fair play for both putting yourself out there and filming it for us all to enjoy. Hard day on a tough course, youll do better next time 👍👍

Thanks mate!
Brilliant mate loving the videos

Enjoy these videos as I am at the same level. I need to find the courage you have shown and jump into a tournament!
Thanks mate appreciate it
Looked tough! As soon as you moved to irons it was a different story.
Yeah it was a tough day all round😂
Well it looked like a nice day to spend all that time on the beach 😉
That’s one way to look at it 🤣
Here we go. I'm excited for this.

Don’t beat yourself up, it’s a bloody hard course!

It wasn’t the day to get the tops unfortunately! Oh well 🙌

All in it together pal
I think you need to have more confidence with driver.
Made a big breakthrough at the range with the big stick yesterday. Back in action in due course 💪
Great to hear
why are you mucking about with woods teeing off when you play your irons so much better?????
This was a particularly bad day with the old woods. Hybrid is normally my comfort club off the tee
