Got to love "Winter Golf", really is a game leveler!! Temperatures in single figures, winter mats, fairway mats and greens like a 10 day unshaven face and yet we still go out to play. We're all somewhat deranged as we all believe that, despite the conditions, we're going to play like golfing gods!!🤣🤣

Have to disagree with you mate. Playing in weather like this is not a leveller at all. Basically playing off the reds and winter greens. Course way shorter and we always say add 10-15 shots on and that’s what you would have been off the whites.

Try a mini turn with your right butt cheek for your backswing when chipping and pitching and another mini turn with your left butt cheek to finish. A little wrist hinge and quiet arms, it works for me 🍺

Much of the reason we seem to get a string of short putt misses is that after the first, we’re subconsciously afraid of missing and going too far so we then hit weak putts that take all the break rather than nice and firm aiming to hit the back of the cup. Keep them coming Dennis, can’t get enough of ‘em!

Of course I have no basis to provide advice but feel like most amateurs don’t take enough club and noticed you were short of the green quite a lot during this round. Well done Denis. Short game wasn’t quite there was it few chips and putts and you’d of broke 95 easy. I’d keep clubbing up though whilst the course has no roll out you were generally pin high. Agree where long is dead play to miss short.
That looked a tough course for distance not a flat course, plenty of elevated tee shots, uphill approaches etc. always give us amateur golfers a tough time for distance control. And after we do all the maths we thin it anyway 😂

You hit some really good shots and made some great recoveries for some of the bad approach shots so we are noticing you game improving. It is strange though when the putter goes cold. It seems like when you miss a few putts it really gets into your head as it does to all of us and we then what the expectation that the putts will miss. If I concentrate on the hole after reading the putt and allow my brain to take over it is amazing how accurate you can be. By the way are games are very similar. I usually score between 88-97. Hey man, no you hit a provisional in case you don’t find your first 👍 it you don’t find your tee shot you get a 2 stroke penalty so that’s why people hit one. Like on hole 9 🥲

I though a provisional was just that incase you don't find the first ball 🤔 plus hes making a RUclips video not playing for a jacket 😂😂 im new too nate how long you been playing ?

@BogeyGolfUK ah ok thanks for the clarification. I've been giving myself a stroke penalty even when finding and using my first ball. You just took 3 to 4 strokes on average off my score. Good to know I've been doing it wrong

@iannewman20ify I got in 2 rounds last year, and about 60 sessions at the driving range. Hoping to get more proper rounds this year. I average like 1 a year haha but love the range
