This is one of my favourite story lines when playing the sims- the older sibling having to raise their young siblings all while having a job all while being broke. AND if you want to make it extra interesting, have them live with the off the grid and simple living lot traits 🤭
I've done a full on 'Gavroche' version of that, three teens, five children, living in an abandoned warehouse that has been rigged up as an off the grid squat. The lot I used I called something like "Squatters Barn" and uploaded it to the gallery (ID: CaptLL). The thing that drives me crazy is the monster under the bed as all the kids share a bedroom...

I like to do the same thing! Especially when I manage to get them super successful in life and can send the older one to uni, but it doesn't happen often 😂 Just maybe without simple living because it drives me mad. But off the grid, tiny run down house, teen and kid and let the chaos begin.
@@dragonsgamingcorner1645 After a quick google, yeah, that would work as a reference too. I was using Gavroche from Les Miserable who takes and tutors abandoned children how to survive on the streets
@@neilbiggs1353 in one of my current games I’ve got twins, a boy and girl, who share a bunk bed. When the monster comes out, the twin on the top wakes up first and sets the twin on the bottom bed off!

I wonder if the house got a secret basement and inside it shows what their father true identity: like an abandoned heirloom of rich family or a secret love child from a royal family. Once the father true identity leaked, the mum came back and tried to claim the kids back to take their funds

This is so similar to the story that I had written. It was about a teenage girl raising her two twin sisters One was really into cheerleading and boys and the other one was music and skipping school. They were both really sassy and mean their older sister Who worked as a barista. She was into writing and painting she can only sell paintings on Saturdays she was also very shy introvert and her sisters were extroverts. Their mother abandon them and had a change of heart when she saw her daughter’s artwork displayed in the gallery. It moved her to be sick help and come home.

Pro tip teens and adults Sims can use the children's craft table to make friendship bracelets and their handiness skill skyrockets. Al's if you put your trash, dishes, diapers, bottles, animal poo, and fabric dye in your inventory you can put it in the dumpster for endless diving. I personally buy a dumpster to keep on my lot vs say just the money trash can. Also you can make stupid amounts of money with Trendi. I'll have my Sim buy an outfit and then spam the "hype outfit" option like 10-20 times to a household member until it turns from neutral to hot/fire and then list it for the max amount of money in the game. It's usually sold by the next day.

Love your videos, especially when it’s the kids that are the heroes! I think I’m to the point where for my own personal play if I’m doing Rags to Riches, I’m going to need to “disallow” dumpster diving, using crystals to make life easier, and then also have to sell everything on the selling table…maybe also get the mod that makes things cost and you’re paid more “real world” costs…it’s just so easy to make money so quickly now! Also, awesome build!!! I love it, and will definitely download it from the gallery!

a nice thing to do is writing books they give your sim daily paiment checks and it just gets bigger as much as u write try after and record it please!!

the sims base game is acc free on all platforms now!! its just the packs that have to be purchased😊
I managed to get it to work on Ubuntu some time ago, it took a bit but it worked well. But let's be honest.. it wasn't the official version 🤭 However I think that if it worked then the normal one would work too, maybe you'll just need WINE?
