Interesting to me to this day is how criminally overlooked Rex is. He is a brilliant player & was the anchor that allowed Dime to take his flights of fancy & often doubled-up on solos. Having watched a few different "reactors" now, I am still yet to hear a word of acknowledgement.

@@VinAndSori "Hard Lines Sunken Cheeks" on "Far Beyond Driven" is a solid example of Rex on display. And a pretty great song as well. I feel bad for the guy, having to keep pace with Dime all those years. Zappagore Waikato is right, Rex gets no respect.

I frickin’ LOVE Pantera sooooo much. I saw them in 98 at an Ozzfest. Later that evening when Black Sabbath were playing Dimebag spent the whole show on the other stage nearby just running around playing air-guitar to Sabbath as they rocked out War Pigs & Paranoid, etc....I didn’t hear of Dimes’ death until about a month after it happened as I was in Sri Lanka surfing and wasn’t paying much attention to the outside world. I still carry around a Dimebag guitar pick in my wallet. I’d highly recommend reacting to Panteras’ ‘Regular People (Conceit)’ as it perfectly showcases the music relationship between Dime and his brother Vinnie. The drums and guitar are completely locked in together. Awesome.

Madonna, yes Madonna, covered this live at the end of the song Hung Up because her guitar teacher Monte Pittman taught her it. You can find the footage on RUclips!

Like the lyrics say, my friends fight for love of brother, your friends fight one another. I think Panteras about good trouble. Standing up for those who need it (build up an infinite wall) and yourself.
