- This is the last of the lost-videos from the end of last year, I think, and that's a relief. I had some stuff happen in December that made me stop thinking about the channel for a bit, and I lost some videos. This one was found, and so you can see which Winey inks I picked at the end of 2023!
Some of these categories are really specific, but that's how my colodex is organized, so that's what we get! These aren't in a particular order, and sometimes there are more than 5. Honorable mentions are always an option!

** These inks come from all over. Vendors, brands, stores I bought them from, friends, viewers. All that. I try not to let that sort of thing color my reviews. What you see is what I got. Thanks for the support, Patrons! **

“Wine”: great category. Interesting that none of your top favourites have a wine name in their titles. The Sailor Grenade snd even more the Oku-Yama (remote mountain) are long-standing staples of my ink library. But I may need to seek out that Sour Cherry. It looks like it has real depth.
Wine-coloured inks are just another reason I need an ink cellar.
This is one of my firm favorite color types. Burgundy/wine colored inks appeal to me a lot. Excellent picks here. I own only the Burgundy Royale, the Oku Yama and the Franklin-Christoph inks.
Montegrappa Bordeaux is another that I’ve always greatly loved. Alas, I hear it has been discontinued. I only have a half bottle left. I’d dearly like to get another if I can find it.
Yeah, it's a great color space. I just got an old bottle of Bordeaux, and I'm sad to hear that it might be discontinued.
@@inkdependence It has officially been discontinued, sadly. I bought two bottles when I first heard the news. Used the ink a lot to finish one full bottle already. My current one is 2/3 full. I’ll have to use it quite sparingly from now onward.
So since these were chosen in ‘23, I wonder if you made the list again right now would you include your recently-reviewed Sailor “Yu”? Maybe it’s too autumn-y but I have yet to see it in person so hard for me to tell if it’s in this color family. Basically Sailor Yu has been haunting me and it may be the single full bottle of ink I’m allowing myself to buy this year. 😅
I think it might. Yu is very good. I recorded this in December, so not TOO long ago, but I guess it's June now. What is time, anyway?
Papier Plume has red beans and rice now. I know this because I went to look for the faceless lady which they DON'T have any left of :(
I'm glad RB&R is back! Sorry about Faceless Lady. I don't know if they'll make more of that one, but it is great.
I really like Diamine Syrah, but it doesn't behave well.
Syrah has always seemed to stain every pen I’ve tried it with. So, I got rid of it.

Burgundy Royale could totally be a wine. 😅
@@inkdependence Same could be said of J. Herbin Rouge Grenat.
