So much more Tesla that will blow your minds! Try “song and emotion”. Modern day cowboy, easy come easy go and honestly the list goes on forever. Great band!
This is great rock and roll at its finest. They are killer live. I've seen them 3 times over the years. Jeff Keith's voice is fantastic as is the entire band!!! 🤟🤟👍👍
Tesla is one of the greatest American rock bands ever. They have never gotten the real respect that they deserve. They wrote great songs that are timeless and their singer is an amazing storyteller. Each member is a great musician and the weaving of Frank and Tommy's guitar playing made them lethal.
Every single member of Tesla are equally talented individuals and in this particular track as live performance, the 2nd lead guitar 🎸🔥 player Tommy Skoech just killed it with his EVH and Tom Scholz style pyrotechnics on the fretboard. 🤘
I really love watching this channel and the way you all go in with an open mind to all kinds of music. Tesla was one of the coolest bands on the planet and I was lucky enough to see them live in Sydney Australia of all places in 2008 and for me it was like seeing The Beatles. I had mega goosebumps. The entire band killed it. Thank you for embracing this era of rock because I grew up in a time when grunge was considered cool and bands like Tesla and Extreme were considered lame. Keep up the great work.
I talked to Jeff Keith in an airport one time. Super cool guy. Funniest thing happened. He had his mom with him because he had taken her on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise for her birthday. She was on the phone at first but when she was done she came right up to me and gave me a huge hug, thanking me for being her son's fan. She was so fun and funny. It was a great experience talking to him and getting a couple pictures. He even filmed a little birthday video for my friend's daughter.
It’s moments like these in concerts in the 80’s that made my life so much fun!!!I I was their age then and loved concerts so much and still do…thanks for the great reaction!
saw city kid open for quiet riot at the university of Guam when i was stationed there. they were there for a extended booking at a club called the pescador when quiet riot made a stop during a tour of the western pacific.✌
Tesla is great in concert . Saw them 3 times in the last 10 years at M3 fest at Merryweather pavilion. The have some great songs Modern day cowboy is one of my favs. I remember buying their first album ( yep not vinyl back then 33s & 45s LPs and EPs) back when I was a teenager.
Suggested Tesla after seeing the.Cinderella vid and here they are lol. Jax you rock! Great band with power ballads as well as bangers. Alternate lead guitarists. They could do a lot live
Well, these guys played my high school homecoming week when they were still called City kid. They were very good if I remember correctly. But Sacramento did seem to appreciate having something out there to hang their hat on. All the talent is in that singer, and the red-headed guitarist Frank. He is still around here in sac and he's still influencing young musicians in a positive way. The other guitarist however, the darker had one was an epic douchebag who really resented having to cash his hair metal paychecks when he desperately wanted to be taken seriously as a heavy metal musician. He had some very lame local death metal band that he grunted thru a pitch shifter for the vocals (which in the Realms of death metal is considered to be quite an epic pussy move,) and drank himself in effectively out of Tesla by being a grumpy dick. Interesting that you guys keep getting the 80s stuff. But you genuinely do seem to be very kind to it and appreciate it for what it is.
My favorite Tesla song! They're absolutely one of the few bands from the 80's who's still as amazing today as they were back then. And phenomenal live! So so many great songs from them, but if you want a total guitar porn fest, listen to Cumin' Atcha Live ;)
I have always liked Tesla. They are all very talented musicians. I would not consider them as a metal band, and they wouldn't either, just ask them, I did. I got to meet Jeff, and, Brian at the Troubadour in West Hollywood in 1988, and the whole band after a concert in 1989 . I asked them (Jeff and Brian) if they considered Tesla a metal band, and they both said NO!!!!! Jeff told me that Tesla was a rock band that got lumped in with a bunch of other bands during the hair metal craze in the mid to late 80's, and that they resented being labeled as a hair/glam metal band. They went on to tell me that they liked the hair metal sound, but hated the look. Jeff told me that the record company wanted them to tease their hair, wear spandex, and makeup on stage, but the band totally refused.
The studio audio version was played over video footage of a live performance here in this video and that's fantastic because the studio version of a song always sounds better. Jeff struggles big time these days to sing live
Have to see Modern Day Cowboy/Official Video!! Song and Emotion is my Favorite….tribute to Steve Clarke,Def Leppard Guitarist who died in early 90’s…they toured together a lot, became Great Friends!!👍🤘🏻
Check out Lazy Days, Crazy Nights, Modern Day Cowboy, and others. I will echo the SONG AND EMOTION recommendations. I have seen them live several times. They are awesome.
This looks liek a lip-sync performance for a TV show, there is a 2nd acoustic overdub on the studio version, and Frank is only playing one guitar, lol.
Tesla is so underrated! Great REAL band. Why these guys didn't get the same glory as Bon Jovi did I only wonder about... I mean they are A LOT BETTER than Bon Jovi. Could it be that they spoke for Tesla not Edison?
I saw them that year. They opened for David Lee Roth from Van Halen, who had Steve Vai on guitar, but I went to see Tesla. They were both great. They were sort of like Boston" to me. They were ready and excited about the first album, then they changed. It seemed like bands "Green Jelly" and other strange ones released things before Grunge started. "Faith No More" wasn't noticed enough
They're lip syncing to the studio recording. Lovwd Tesla, still do, but I seen them live at the height of their fame and unfortunately they auckwd badly, worst concert i ever went to. Jeff was so druck that he couldn't stand up, the overall sound was very bad, don't know if it was the auditorium or what.
Enough with the platitudes already. This band is just so so. But they are very cookie cutter. Nothing to get all that excited about. But that's just how I feel about it, my opinion.
Tesla is one of the most underrated and overlooked bands.
Amen to that, I've seen Tesla live 3 times they never disappoint, an incredible live band
I agree totally
💯
So much more Tesla that will blow your minds! Try “song and emotion”. Modern day cowboy, easy come easy go and honestly the list goes on forever. Great band!
Check out No Way out(Heavens Trail) also
Tesla is one of my favorite bands. If you're a musician you can't help but appreciate them. That's guitar rock!
Literally not a bad Tesla song can be found..Great band that's underrated
You Guys Rock!!! More Tesla Please.....They have so many kick ass songs, and yes...Jeff is one of the best frontman and vocalist.
This is great rock and roll at its finest. They are killer live. I've seen them 3 times over the years. Jeff Keith's voice is fantastic as is the entire band!!! 🤟🤟👍👍
Love love love Tesla! They're still killing it today.
What You Give (by Tesla) is one of the world’s best power ballads ever.
Jeff Keith. Probably one of the most underrated vocalists in rock
So many great Tesla songs out there. Band was very underrated
I used to listen to Tesla a lot as teenager. I had forgotten how awesome this band really is. Seriously underrated!
Tesla is one of the greatest American rock bands ever. They have never gotten the real respect that they deserve. They wrote great songs that are timeless and their singer is an amazing storyteller. Tesla, Sacramento's favorite Home Town Sons, rockin California since the early 1980's
Everybody talks about underrated singers but Jeff truly is an underrated singer.
Every single member of Tesla are equally talented individuals and in this particular track as live performance, the 2nd lead guitar 🎸🔥 player Tommy Skoech just killed it with his EVH and Tom Scholz style pyrotechnics on the fretboard. 🤘
I loved Tesla when they first came out. So refreshing , pure rock.

When I was both of your ages, I seen Tesla live in concert with some friends. They rocked!
Just seen them 3 years ago and they’re still just as good
i bought their 1st tape in 1986 or 7 and flipped out over his voice too and today i have all of their cds
metal music will never die

There’s a huge Tesla catalog. Please definitely go down this rabbit hole. You won’t be disappointed

The video might be live, but the audio is from the record. Regardless, they still kick ass to this day. Just seen them last night and they rocked!!
Glad to know I'm not the only one who spotted this.
They’re still amazing to see live
Suggested Tesla after seeing the.Cinderella vid and here they are lol. Jax you rock! Great band with power ballads as well as bangers. Alternate lead guitarists. They could do a lot live
Just wait and see what else i got coming at cha. Wont let cha down. Im 80’s to the BONE. :)
Saw them a couple times in the late 80s. Modern Day Cowboy one of the best songs of that era!

My bridesmaids came down the aisle to this acoustic intro.
If you get the chance to see this band live, GO. They’re fantastic in concert. I saw them at the Ryman auditorium. They were amazing.
Tesla is one of my favorite bands of all time. They really fell into the hair band category at all. You need to check out a lot more of Tesla's music
loved the reaction to my favorite band in that era !!
Frank played the acoustic on this one, Tommy played the solo. Great band, you'll find a lot of great songs if you keep looking.
Check out “ Heavens Trail” very heavy blues feeling to it from Tesla
Tesla is my all time favorite band and my first concert
Local D.J. called them a iron fist in a velvet glove.
First 3 albums are SOLID!!!

so good to see a reaction to this great underrated band
Extremely underrated band tbh
Jeff Keith is, or perhaps was, a truck driver for his "day job." So he's a very grounded blue collar worker.
The studio audio version was played over video footage of a live performance here in this video and that's fantastic because the studio version of a song always sounds better. Jeff struggles big time these days to sing live
Their first three albums were FIRE!
PH. D is the band that wrote this song in 1981. It’s not bad but I do like the Tesla version of it better.
I used to go see them as the supporting bands, and almost leave afterwards
Tesla has a lot of awesome songs but my favorite is lazy days and crazy nights that song rocks and rocks
Check out Modern Day Cowboy by Tesla
Have to see Modern Day Cowboy/Official Video!! Song and Emotion is my Favorite….tribute to Steve Clarke,Def Leppard Guitarist who died in early 90’s…they toured together a lot, became Great Friends!!👍🤘🏻
Modern day cowboy is another good one
if you wanna hear tesla in their element, check out modern day cowboy, heaven's trail or edison's medicine.
Games People Play by Tesla will have you guys singing !
Eheheh the Song is dedicated to a person close to you eheh ! Is a reference to Star Wars Sir Jon ?
Check out Lazy Days, Crazy Nights, Modern Day Cowboy, and others. I will echo the SONG AND EMOTION recommendations. I have seen them live several times. They are awesome.
Check out their 5 man acoustical jam album.
Classic 🔥
This looks liek a lip-sync performance for a TV show, there is a 2nd acoustic overdub on the studio version, and Frank is only playing one guitar, lol.
Yep 100%. No live playing here
Check out comin at ya live, the guitar intro will blow ur mind
Tesla is so underrated! Great REAL band. Why these guys didn't get the same glory as Bon Jovi did I only wonder about... I mean they are A LOT BETTER than Bon Jovi. Could it be that they spoke for Tesla not Edison?
Keep in mind this isn't live.
Try Modern Day Cowboy

geez take off the make up...lol
Enough with the platitudes already. This band is just so so. But they are very cookie cutter. Nothing to get all that excited about. But that's just how I feel about it, my opinion.
Yeah man, everybody's got one of those. haha
Just good old fashioned American rock and roll...Tesla is criminally underrated
