YZ250 with fresh Vertex piston & .045" squish starts by hand

- Bike is running perfect with new Vertex piston, and reset squish from .033 to .045, since I think I was having some issues with that clearance being too tight.
Since all the new GoPros with stabilization are making me jealous, I applied Premeire's Warp Stabilizer to most of this footage. Partway through it got too dark and the GoPro jumped to 30fps. For some reason that was making the stabilizer freak out so it turned it off at that point.

7:39 "kick" start by hand
Hey Matt. Bike sounds really nice. I also have an 02. Looking to make it work properly for woods racing. Are your SSS forks revalved or are they stock? And are you running the stock 02 rear shock?
Thanks! Here's some copypasta from my notes on the bike.
Forks: 2009 YZ450F KYB SSS. Rebuilt and drilled free slide. Stock valving. Stock 0.47 kg/mm springs. Rebound is 15 clicks out, compression 18. External chamber 320ml oil. Height 5mm.
Shock: 2002 YZ250 KYB 16mm shaft. Rebuilt and moved 4 face shims to the bottom of the valve stack. Husky 5.5 kg/mm spring. Rebound is 12 clicks out, low compression 16, HSC max out. Sag 105mm.
Jetting: 45 pilot, 168 main, NECJ 3 (suzuki needle), 50 power jet, stock #7 slide (colorado settings 42 pilot 162 main - trying 165/48 now)
Engine: Vertex 66.35 piston, head machined to 0.045" squish, and dished the dome for low compression. Timing set 2° retarded

Do you ever feel at a disadvantage being on an 02 I have an 03
Not the way mine is set up, doesn't give up much if anything to a new YZ. Modern forks are the main thing. Now the exception is if it has a break down because of old age. Which has definitely happened!
I only ask because I'm torn I just finished building my 03 complete top and bottom rebuild all new everything now I have the opportunity to finance a 2019 husqvarna tx300 and I don't know what to do lol I love my yz but man I love that new 300 with the button too
