- I didn't have a wiesco racer elite or a single ring wossner. if you're racing I recommend using one of those. Vertex for cast but if you're a some what fast racer no more than 25-30hr
Good stuff 👍
I forgot to mention ring gap. I like to see .016-.018 on 250s 🔧🔧🏁🏁
Question
Are wiseco forged pistons already gapped whe buy them new? Also the 0.16- 0.18 is that in millimeters (mm)?
Thanks
Sorry i meant 016-.018
Thanks
@@marioguzman9290 no not mm
What are your thoughts on 2 stroke top end break in after installing a new wiseco piston? What do you recommend, what works best?
Thanks
@@marioguzman9290 I never break in just start make sure nothing leaks then go racing ✊✊ break in is overrated lol
I just gapped my rings for my 01 YZ250 las night, I had to file them down a little just enough for the 0.16 filler gauge to slide in. Any feed back from you is much appreciated.
Perfect 🏁
Heres a question for you, so I've just had my Yz125 cylinder replated with recessed exhaust port bridge and sized correctly to a wossner forged piston that has the coating, ive asked because wiseco say to drill their pistons and if you ask on forums you get everyone's opinions and you leave with as much knowledge as you started. I'm currently waiting to hear back from wossner, plus this piston is only for 91-93 so I would assume they would come drilled if needed as its all the same cylinder for those years, whats your thoughts and yes the pistons are a work of art I agree.
Yamaha pistons come pre drilled
Good stuff 👍
