If there were any effects added to this song, any instruments at all, I don't think it would feel nearly the same. This is an unbelievably beautiful tune for just how raw it is. So much of the music in season 4 was absolutely phenomenal and I'm so happy about it.
It's definitely one helluva experience. People who bitch about it are just nitpicking and/or expect way too much. Like how are we to expect Telltale to make multiple games worth of stories, just to honour certain choices? It's impossible. And even if they did invest into that, would we even accept multiple, completely different versions of Clementine's & Lee's? It'd be too weird in my opinion. The fanbase would never be able to relate with one another based on our chosen routes.
I JUST REMEMBERED SHE'S RHEA IN THREE HOUSES!! She sung the english version of Song of The Nabateans with such grace, I can't believe I didn't make the connection when I first heard it. Looking back she sounds just about the same there as she does here (though suspect the off-key notes are very intentional here due to how sad Minerva probably is when she's singing)... graceful as heck
