this is an absolutely heartbreaking masterpiece
Indeed......
@@ireneclaro5538 Listen to Jamison Faulkner - Way Back When‼️‼️
@@lilnut2388 Go away Jamison, nothing worse than comment bombing a great artist.
Nick Cave is one of the finest artists in music.
I forget which famous writer said something like "if you see something and you want to talk about it afterwards that's good entertainment but if you want to talk about life afterwards that's art." This album has been breaking that art line for me. very powerful.
Listen to Jamison Faulkner - Way Back When‼️‼️
@@lilnut2388 Thank you for your kindness ☺🎶🎶🎶
They are both the same thing?
We're sorry Nick, we all love you.
We do. I had no idea I'd feel the way I do. I feel like this death happened in my life.
we all do.
The most emotional song I've ever heard in my life.
I think this is my favorite song on the album so far
same for me.
The most touching piece of music from an amazing album that should have never needed to exist.
oh okay thanks nick I guess I just
lay down
and cry
Nick is a real poet, this song has one of the most heartbreaking lines ever written...
"'I used to think that when you died you kind of wandered the world
In a slumber til you crumble were absorbed into the earth''
I can't even imagine how painful and personal the process of making this album was, but i'm glad he did it... now we all have an album that is a true masterpiece.
I watched One more time with Feeling, amazing documentary about his grieving process. He is amazingly talented.
I ve been thinking too how much painful this song must have been for him...

I’ve never been able to listen to this song without weeping.
Nick Cave, an artist.
THE artist....
SOBER LEECH Ok.
Pure class! The real deal, a legend!
Without Nick Cave. I honestly wouldn't have a shoulder to cry on. So many...
if you wanna bleed, just bleed
but if you wanna leave, don't breathe .
yes, we love you, nick .
This version is different from the album but it's still haunting. I feel like Nick is about to break during certain moments but pulls through. Simply beautiful.
Ghostie Mostly I almost like this version more. Though it just might be seeing the background vocal... "wail" as it were performed is completely devastating.
Seen the movie?
If you haven't - go ASAP!
I tell you, when it ended - dead silence for more than a minute, nobody moved - and when there finally was someone who started to leave, they didn't say a word - I tell you, people were so moved by it!
"if you wanna bleed, just bleed" , utterly genuine
My heart can't handle the grief
Best song from the best album of the year
I wonder what this song feels like for people who hear it without context. I gotta think the heartbreak is apparent either way...
I saw the movie last night. I too lost my son - his words, emotion, and raw grief resonate with me. Very powerful and moving film.
❤❤🩹❤❤❤
Beautiful. The sense of dignity and courage under such a weight of heart aching sadness and loss. To take such blackness and forge it into something so... beautiful! x
Well, after a month or so from first listen this could be named as one of the best Nick song ever.
Nick du bist der Beste.Für mich schon mehr als 20 Jahre.
I have a really tough relationship with this album. I still have my friend's message on FB wall saying "Nick Cave releasing this album in Oct will be my best birthday present" and then he died few days later, 2 months before his BD. 2016 was fucking hell. My dad died, my friend died. This album is all about death. I couldn't make peace with death for quite some time since 2016. Now I do, but this album is still the purest expression of the worst kind of pain to me.
I'm so so so sorry that you have been through so much heartache.
I lost both my Dad and my mum within 11 months of each other.
Nicks music, lyrics , concerts even interviews have helped me through
When I listen closely the tears may come and my heart hurts but it helps me understand my own grief and Nicks lyrics are like my own thoughts put together by this magnificent man.
Love you Nick 🖤🙏
Love you guys be strong.
I hear you friend..thank you for your truth...I can relate..I'm in it too. I hope you have found some strength or understanding in this awful time...I'm trying to

@@1chipchap I did. Thank your comment. Hang in there. Life works in mysterious ways and there is a place for everything, even for the toughest emotions. This is our human experience. Sending you love.
I have heard this song more times than I'm able to keep track of, but have never been able to get through it without crying.
This song was what finally broke me when I heard it for the first time at the theater. It's hard listening to it so I can't imagine how much harder it must be for Nick Cave to sing it...
MASTERPIECE.WALK IN PEACE ARTHUR.
The best album I've heard in the year and perhaps one of the best of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Beautiful, elegant and very sad. It made me mourn.
I saw him live with The Bad Seeds earlier this year. I cried like a child when he performed this song. Nick Cave is a magician on the stage, able to pull out every emotion there is.
So beautiful that it hurts ❤️
Thank you for saving my soul tonight.
I'm crying now, nick you are such an amazing artist and I'm so sorry you're going thru this. I hope this album helped you even in the slightest getting thru the grief
Thank you Nick, your pain is pure poetry!
THANK YOU for this.... for everything....
We´re with you all the way and we LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, dear Nick....
Absolutely heartrending. So much raw emotion in every note. This is my favorite song off Skeleton Tree. Thank you Nick Cave for making such a deeply moving album.
my favorite song from this album. love you forever, Nick 💔
The first time I heard GIA it was during the premiere of OMTWF the documentary. To call it a Masterpiece is an understatement. I was stuck to my cinema seat and felt my blood pressure rising. Choking and trying to hold back but everything failed in that moment. The tears fell and kept falling. RIP dear Arthur. NC has never been more realistic with his fans and this was the moment he truly showed his vulnerability as a parent and as a human. Immortal classic. One of the reasons why the album ST was #1. Here's wishing that GHOSTEEN makes #1 as well. Bravo NCATBS Bravo!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 💟💗💙💚💝💜💛💫
My favorite album of the year, and these videos have been fantastic.
I saw Nick perform this live in concert - it is so soul wrenching to listen to live. :(
I genuinely wept watching this. Nick has never lost his magical touch with music. Such a beautiful song 💖
So sad, but beautiful at the same time.
The unfogettable, harrowing, visceral, melancholic and mind blowing centerpiece of ST is a masterpiece work of art that will live on for infinity. As I had predicted, ST got the much deserved and coveted #1 spot. This track and its contemporaries are the reason why. From Australia & Canada to UAE & USA, NCATBS has touched the very core of fans universally. The music speaks from the deepest consciousness of the heart, hence has resonated the world over. Thank you Mr Cave & friends! Love & Light!
My favorite track and also the most heartbreaking in my opinion.
I keep coming back to this
Truly magnificent.
I can't give it any higher praise.
Right on time, Nick.. I need your music more than ever..
I was mildly interested in the album and the band in general when Skeleton Tree came out but I didn't really get the music then. A couple of years have now passed and I love the album and their other works with all my heart. I feel like I've matured along the way
Christ, this breaks my heart.
This is probably my favorite song from the new album (even tho it's really hard to choose). I think this song perfectly describes Nick Cave's music. If I wanted to explain to someone who Nick Cave is and what music he does with the new album I would definitely play them this song.
Skeleton Tree and Push the Sky Away are also definitive. And then Animal X
Makes you go all quiet.... Beautiful but heartbreaking
Hello Cindy. How are you doing?
I don't know how many times I've listened to this song this week. I can't stop. It's so beautiful and profound.
I've heared this song live last night. I've cred my eyeballs out
I can’t with this song 😭 Full body goosebumps, a masterpiece but so devastating
Every part of this track, each detail, leads the listener to the feeling of its dark & true depth
Just lost me angel younger sis a week ago & this hits hard & is done so beautiful xoxo
The guy on the camera trolley sipping from the styro cup at the end just kills it
love this song
I can't wait for Skeleton Tree official video
hit me hard, again
This song is so beautifully crafted.
It drags and tries to figure itself out. The viola/violin? comes in when he's figured out what to say, but they're not there anymore. The chorus goes unsung leaving this hollow chasm to wait out the storm in.
Yeah, this is my favorite from an overall outstanding record
I knew the world it would stop spinning now since you've been gone..... This lyric is so true.... Lost my mother two weeks ago from cancer and I have no idea how time goes by when you're sad and empty
Perfection 👍❤👌
My favorite song from the album 🙏❤️
Could be the best song ever.
A glimpse of his unguarded inner self during the worst of times. Hell lurks within us all, thanks for showing us that, Nick.
Поставила эту песню на закольцовку, слушаю уже двадцатый раз подряд и все плачу и плачу...😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Nick...... 💖
One more time with feeling is one of the best documenary i've ever seen.
Yes! Deep and beautiful, great soul! ❤️
Not sure this is the best song from this record, but I know this record is from another place entirely...
that heart-wrenching voice in the background.......yes
forever nick cave and the bad seeds!your music....aaaahhhhh!!!
Love the way this video has been shot. Great direction.
...great , great ...GREAT!!
I watched him sing this live 2 nights ago, he seemed ok as in not too emotional but it was beautiful and I feel for the loss of your son. Nothing can be as awful as that. God bless you Nick. You are an amazing artist and person x
Depuis plus de dix années que j'écoute ce grand artiste, il me touche toujours autant, merci pour les belles et perturbantes mélodies
I´m crying so much. Nick is in pain :(
Thank you for your honesty, cutting and filled with so much love.
Einfach genial, mit Gefühl und Herz. Mehr als nur gut.
it breaks me
I think the most delicately beautiful and poignant song from the record. I wonder if his wife said don't touch me in her grief after the tragic event.
Considering the Biblical references throughout the album, it's almost certainly a reference to an event during Christ's resurrection.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not
yet ascended to my Father, but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I
ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
My favorite from Skeleton Tree. I'm really emotionally attached to this song...
I talk a lot about what a genius album this one is and what an incredible talented artist Nick Cave is but i wanna mention that this movie is a masterpiece on its own too. When I was watching 3D movie in the theater I kinda tripped away starting 2:30 and never even glimpsed at anything else but screen. I normally hate 3D and avoid it at all costs thinking that they use 3D because they can't make a point without it. But this movie was the best 3D I ever experienced. And black and white fucking rocks!
I swear, when they showed the white wall, somebody was peeling onions close by!
GorillaGuerilla p
Really touching, I cry whenever I listen to this. Love you Nick , Susie and Earl.🖤
The melancholy in this song is almost too heavy to bear ...but I just can't stop myself going back to it. Over and over.
This is shattering.
I love it so much. Girl in amber, Distant sky and Magneto are real masterpieces
One of the best alive performers, yet videos get only few hundred thousand views. What poorly educated times we live in :/
Never heard something more heartbreaking than this
Bloke at 4:20 drinking his cuppa not quite feeling it.
Tried really hard to appreciate this song (and others on the album) when listening to it in the car on the way home from work. Have to admit I skipped it most of the time and went back to something more familiar on the 'The Boatman's Call'... When the context of life changed with covid I suddenly got it, I got the emotional intensity of the song and it made me realise Nick Cave is ever bigger a genius than I'd thought. Didn't know you could dig so deep and explore/expose your pain so perfectly.
Hauntingly beautiful song. Nick never ceases to amaze me.
Amazing Courage...
And with the amazing Warren Ellis, they're just so in sync it's beautiful, you can feel the close bond between them.
Im late to the party as i discovered Nick recently. I love his writing and music. Its so different to what i listen to but i connected to his words straight away.
Some of those shots remind me of Gaspar Noé's "Enter The Void". Great video.
I felt the same way, I remember that Gaspar Noé had already directed the video for the song We no who R U of the ''push the sky away'' album...
That's because it's the same cinematographer: Benoît Debie
MrGarruk123 - ah right! There's that same constant restless relentless prowling passing round and moving through. So did he work on Irréversible to?
BlueGrenadeTom
yup
same feeling!!
I saw Distant Sky yesterday, and this song just made me cry. So beautiful
Love Man, You teach us how to be fragile in Love
Thank you for giving us the words for our grief, Nick ❤️
you are awesome
This is pure
Some go and some stay behind
Some never move at all
Girl in amber trapped forever, spinning down the hall
Let no part of her go unremembered, clothes across the floor
Girl in amber lumber slumber shuts the bathroom door
The phone, the phone, the phone it rings, it rings, it rings no more
The song, the song, the song it spins since nineteen eighty-four
The phone, the phone, the phone, it rings, the phone, it rings no more
The song, the song it's been spinning now since nineteen
And if you want to bleed, just bleed
And if you want to bleed, just bleed
And if you want to bleed, don't breathe
A word
Just step away and let the world spin
And now in turn, you turn
You kneel, lace up his shoes, your little blue-eyed boy
Take him by his hand, go move and spin him down the hall
I get lucky, I get lucky 'cause I tried again
I knew the world it would stop spinning now since you've been gone
I used to think that when you died you kind of wandered the world
In a slumber till you crumbled, were absorbed into the earth
Well, I don't think that any more
The phone it rings no more
The song, the song it spins, it spins now since nineteen eighty-four
The song, the song, the song it spins, it's been a spinning now
And if you'll hold me I will tell you that you know that
And if you want to leave, don't breathe
And if you want to leave, don't breathe
And if you want to leave, don't breathe a word
And let the world turn
The song, the song it spins, the song, it spins, it spins no more
The phone, it rings, it rings
And you won't stay
Don't touch me
Don't touch me
Don't touch me
Don't touch me
Thank you. 🍁
