I loved what Jaby said about Indian movies.. whether it's Bollywood or the beautiful regional cinema..the stories here do have a lot of heart that actually connects with the normal people of the heartland with beautiful music to go with it. They grope you with beautiful illusions but keep a firm grip on the reality as well if that makes sense.
Similar concept is already done in a marathi movie called "mala aai vhayachay" which this movie is a remake of (done by the same director). That one is also a beautiful movie. Since you haven't watched any marathi movies, you can consider this original one. Though original seems more emotional, this one seems to have lot more comedic elements.
Love the fact that Jaby and Achara has explored so many facets of Indian Cinema that they can connect the dots of differences between regional cinema and Bollywood and also the fact that they understand the essence of mainstream and in general most of Indian cinema is so refreshing.

OMG I've been waiting for this movie since early 2020! It was pushed back because of covid. They were finishing the shooting around March when the pandemic hit. I think America has done a lot of path breaking subjects in the past and since the advent of awesome visual effects, America is exploring that capability based on their past experience of the business. India just started pushing these subjects in the main stream maybe 10-15 years back. India is also slowly exploring visual effects + story telling with movies like Eega, Robot, Bahubali, etc and may stop producing these subjects in the mainstream once Indian audiences get bored of this change.

The logic behind showing more of in the trailer in indian movies is that makers need to attract the audience. They need a show how good and compelling the story is otherwise no one is gonna watch the movie and it will be a flop.
Man this has exactly the same plot as the Malayalam comedy movie Lucky Star I hope its not a remake but the events are exactly the same as that movie.

I think America has done a lot of path breaking subjects in the past and since the advent of awesome visual effects, America is exploring that capability based on their past experience of the business. India just started pushing these subjects in the main stream maybe 10-15 years back. India is also slowly exploring visual effects + story telling with movies like Eega, Robot, Bahubali, etc and may stop producing these subjects in the mainstream once Indian audiences get bored of this change.
