We were on a CCL B2B European ( The Pride)cruise last August, had an amazing wait staff in the MDR and then we cruised this past Jan on the Pride and saw one of the waitstaff we had from EU. He actually saw us first, greeted us and even remembered where we sat in the MDR on the last cruise!! Kuddos to them all!!
I don't know how possible it is to do, but if it can be done they should have your card remain deactivated until you check in at your muster station. Checking in at the muster station would activate your keycard. So, no getting into your room, no buying anything, nothing until the muster is taken care of.

Even though the instructions are posted by the elevators and aired on your TV, most people do not pay attention, so PLEASE make sure you are telling people, they HAVE to hit the floor they are going to for as many people that are getting on the elevator. We were on the Venezia’s Transatlantic sailing and our phones were on Spain time the entire time. We changed time zones 6 times and it never changed. My watch was the only way I could keep up with all the time changes!

Ship looks nice. Only been on carnival once. Definitely a mixed bag. Overall had a good time but noticed service was not up to par with other lines and food was good but bad in the buffet especially for breakfast. Would consider again but probably only for a unique itinerary
Can’t blame 422 not doing the Muster Stations, on the Newbies, as you say having a drink, getting hammered, I’ve seen Cruisers, who have been on Ships before, not doing the Muster drill.
I walked the streets of Venezia. No gondola on that ship. Hopefully you have some Italian places to eat. You would think they would be playing Italian music. For carnival which I don't like hopefully this will be a nice change for them.
We cruised on Oceania balcony concierge level. Our bathroom was huge with a marble sink with tons of counter space and nice size shower very fancy also. Way worth the price!
How do you board a ship and not think immediately of doing muster? I don't know about anyone else but my first concern on any mode of travel is "what do I need to know about escape in an emergency?" Hmm, sailed into a wormhole there? Hahaha
It’s a definitely a different product. It’s a hybrid Costa Cruises and Carnival. I know MSC is hammering Costa Cruises in Europe. I’m wondering if they are testing the waters in order to bring Costa Cruises to North America and doing their homework for American passengers.
Inside cabins on a former Costa ship have changed since I sailed on one in 1990 (Costa Rivera)...specifically, you could sh*t, shower and shave at the same time in the bathroom back then!

That was my recent experience on the Panorama. I went to get a second drink at the bar, and they told me my card was deactivated until I checked in at my muster station. Crazy thing was, I had checked in, watched them scan my boarding pass, and then watched the video in my stateroom. It was showing on the Hub app and everything that i had completed it, but for some reason, wasn't showing in the ship's computer. So I had to go back to my muster station and check in again before they would activate my card to let me buy drinks.
Oh goodness. I can't help but feel a bit grossed out about the drink station sanitation. Watch the lady in the background take a drink from her cup and then turn back to refill the same cup. Time stamp at 7:06. After everything we went through during the covid years you would think a little bit more caution and common sense would prevail. Sorry .
CARNIVAL Venezia was previously owned by COSTA CRUISE LINES. COSTA is OWNED BY... CARNIVAL!!! CARNIVAL refurbished a 🚢 that they owned under another flag. It would be something akin to YOU buying YOUR daughter a car, then having it transferred into YOUR NAME! They've already mentioned that they (CARNIVAL) are having second thoughts about sailing from New York year-round. 😮😢😊
I am just going to say this, it is not a Carnival experience I want to experience. Costa is Costa and mixing it with the Carnival name I think is a mistake.
@@lisawright5674 yes, but it is their totally Italian brand. So is Princess and Holland América and they all have their place. Carnival is whimsical and fun and cheap, not totally Italian.
On first impressions, the ship is typically Costa, built as the Carnival Vista ships, same shipyard construction but very Costa Tacky. Sorry but Costa have a cheap name in the cruise world and this ship says Costa.
Sorry but this one isn’t for me. We have zero plans on cruising carnival. I’m not comfortable with the dog thing. We weren’t real excited to go with them before but now not a chance. I have a medical marijuana card. Everything I own smells like weed. I’m not dealing with a dog at my door every damn day.
I don't know I am not sure. I think it looks jumbled, overdone and ghastly. It's like the ship version of a Las Vegas Hotel / Mall take on Italy. *Looks over my shoulder* Maybe the US is liking it but Europeans are looking on in horror

My experience has been that Carnival doesn’t allow you to order a second drink until after you’ve mustered, even non-alcoholic ones.
Unfortunately this is not true... the cut off bar service sometimes to get everyone to Muster though. I wish they would do this!
