I noticed your new “sleek” look too, Ben! With recent cruises, how did you drop the pounds? Maybe because of the stress of getting settled into the new home. Moving house is supposedly one of the highest stress maker in one’s life. That’s when I drop weight without trying!
It seems that buffet staff hands the food out to the customers rather than the customers touching the food and utensils - like a cafeteria Much cleaner and less chance of a bug going around the ship. The ship seem the right size, not too small nor too large. Looking forward next time for the cabin tour.
What a contrast, to go from the grubby old Epic to such a beautiful new ship! I’ve never really been interested in the MSC big ships but this looks like a great way to cruise. I’m eager to see what the all-suite cabins look like. Thanks for bringing us along!

I live in a small rural town of about 400 so I find some of those big ships somewhat intimidating. This ship looks like something I could really enjoy.

And exactly the same, there's no universal definition of a town vs a village. Your social conventions call it a duck, someone else's tradition calls it a goose, nobody's wrong.
I've heard really good things about Explora (especially the food). The ship looks absolutely fantastic. It's great to get confirmation from someone like you guys who try to be unbiased. Looking forward to seeing more about the ship and pricing.
My best friend went on MSC-Trips four times and strongly recommended it to me so I went on a trip with the MSC Euribia earlier this year and it was absolutely great. I wasn‘t screamed at although I filmed quite a bit. The food was very good and so much variety that we weren‘t able to try everything. The outside pool was so long and so nice with sculptures all around and warm that I was able to continue my swim training daily. The shows were very good and the staff was very polite and friendly. The few things I didn‘t like much were 1. very small and few shops 2. the pricey massages and very expensive creams that are sold in that area (I think the main problem was me because I didn‘t ask what the price of these creams would be) 3. I was asked for a permission to travel with my daughter signed by her father and didn‘t have that. The manager said I had to show it till departure. The queue was very long at the reception desk. When finally at front, nobody knew about the missing signature and I had to convince a staff member to take notice that I showed the signature so I could go snd finally relax. That was chaotic. I think So perhaps the complaints could have come through to the MSC management at last so that they changed some things. I can recommend going on a cruise with MSC
I have cruised on MSC twice and the 3rd MSC cruise is just a month away. All of those are mega ships! Explora 1 cruise ship looks nothing short of amazing for smaller ship! Thanks for the tour mates!

We are travelling from Aus in November to do our first European River Cruise A to B, with a stop in Doha on the way home. Clearly can't bring our drone and hubby is taking his Go Pro. This is the first cruise I've seen that I actually coveted. If I were still able to travel, I'd sign up in a hot minute. Well worth the price, imo. Glad you made up with MSC, I wouldn't have missed this for anything.

The price is definitely luxury expensive but I would totally save money for this cruise. Im so surprised its MSC! I trust both your judgements about MSC. We’re booked for March 2026 on the New Orleans itinerary during Mardi Gras. Can’t wait! We’ve seen a bunch of videos before, but we’re so happy to see you guys covered it today too and looking forward to part two. Really appreciate such a detailed look at the buffet, everyone skips through there so quickly but we knew it was going to be as high quality as the rest of the ship.
Ok, you guys stunned me with this one. If I ever got the chance to take a cruise on a major cruise line MSC was right out. Now I'm rethinking it. I love the idea that everything on ship is included (with the one restaurant exception). I love the idea of the smaller ship too as the megaships do not interest me at all. I'm all about relaxing when I go on vacation & don't need or want all the rides, etc. The problem I see now is if I can get over the idea of the long flight from the U.S. to Europe. I know, a me problem. 😉 Unfortunately with leg & back pain it is a serious consideration for me. Loved your take on this ship!

Well I am just gonna declare the explora cruise is a foodie cruise. Tempted to fly long distance for this which we don't really do for cruising. Europe and USA is really far from Singapore. Ben and David would know this. Love love love that its not self served and waiter served food. ❤
My first ever cruise last Nov / Dec in Caribbean with this ship. Rebooked for Explora 2 the day we got back. When you add in all get it’s superb quality and value

My husband and I were on Explora 1 for the second week of her maiden voyage. There were only 450 passengers aboard, mostly travel agents and writers. We might have been the only paying passengers. The food was fabulous, particularly in the Emporium. Not your typical buffet! Sakura was also a favorite. I became nearly proficient with chopsticks! Our Penthouse suite, with butler, was wonderful. It was an apartment! Heated bathroom floors! Wonderful fluffy bathrobes! A fancy Dyson hairdryer! But, no vanity mirror. (I think this has been remedied, based on videos I have seen.) It took a few days to figure out how to use the coffee maker. (Our butler didn't know how to use it, either.) We had ordered Chardonnay and Irish whiskey for the room, but there was no Irish Whiskey. (More about that in a moment.) We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Service was excellent in every venue. There were only a few things that were disappointing, specifically the Whiskey Bar and Cigar Lounge. The Whiskey Bar had NO Irish whiskey. A single bottle of Jameson was located in the lobby bar, and stashed in the Whiskey Bar for my husband. No cigar smoking was allowed in the Cigar Lounge. The necessary permits had not been secured before her inaugural trip. We spent our onboard credit at the spa, which was quite wonderful. We loved our trip, and plan to cruise on her again.

I have never, ever been attracted to cruising. The thought of getting a stomach virus with 2,000 strangers has always put me off. I watch your videos because you two are fun. But holy moly, this looks absolutely amazing. Looking forward to part two. Might even start saving for a trip on this ship!

3:56 & 3:58 WOW this lobby looks like a super luxurious world hotel ! Amazing ! This wow factor lobby is the nicest newer cruise ship lobby I have ever seen.

This is the first cruise I've seen that I actually coveted. If I were still able to travel, I'd sign up in a hot minute. Well worth the price, imo. Glad you made up with MSC, I wouldn't have missed this for anything.

Wow I'm so surprised! Seems like an amazing ship and omg that food im drooling. I want to be in that infinity hot tub right now so badly! The price is definitely luxury expensive but I would totally save money for this cruise. Im so surprised its MSC! I trust both your judgements about MSC. I would not want to go on their other ships still but this one i'd try. Cant wait to see the cabin! ❤
The food looks Absolutely amazing. It seems like a cruise for those that want great food and drink and a relaxing trip. Price wise it seems fair considering so much is included in the price.

We’re booked for March 2026 on the New Orleans itinerary during Mardi Gras. Can’t wait! We’ve seen a bunch of videos before, but we’re so happy to see you guys covered it today too and looking forward to part two. Really appreciate such a detailed look at the buffet, everyone skips through there so quickly but we knew it was going to be as high quality as the rest of the ship.
Ok, you guys stunned me with this one. If I ever got the chance to take a cruise on a major cruise line MSC was right out. Now I'm rethinking it. I love the idea that everything on ship is included (with the one restaurant exception). I love the idea of the smaller ship too as the megaships do not interest me at all. I'm all about relaxing when I go on vacation & don't need or want all the rides, etc. The problem I see now is if I can get over the idea of the long flight from the U.S. to Europe. I know, a me problem. 😉 Unfortunately with leg & back pain it is a serious consideration for me. Loved your take on this ship!
The chandelier at timestamp 6:30ish , looks like a Crystal Tapeworm lol... once you see it, you can't unsee it, I do find the design absolutely gorgeous though.

Well I am just gonna declare the explora cruise is a foodie cruise. Tempted to fly long distance for this which we don't really do for cruising. Europe and USA is really far from Singapore. Ben and David would know this.

My first ever cruise last Nov / Dec in Caribbean with this ship. Rebooked for Explora 2 the day we got back. When you add in all get it’s superb quality and value

My husband and I were on Explora 1 for the second week of her maiden voyage. There were only 450 passengers aboard, mostly travel agents and writers. We might have been the only paying passengers. The food was fabulous, particularly in the Emporium. Not your typical buffet! Sakura was also a favorite. I became nearly proficient with chopsticks! Our Penthouse suite, with butler, was wonderful. It was an apartment! Heated bathroom floors! Wonderful fluffy bathrobes! A fancy Dyson hairdryer! But, no vanity mirror. (I think this has been remedied, based on videos I have seen.) It took a few days to figure out how to use the coffee maker. (Our butler didn't know how to use it, either.) We had ordered Chardonnay and Irish whiskey for the room, but there was no Irish Whiskey. (More about that in a moment.) We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Service was excellent in every venue. There were only a few things that were disappointing, specifically the Whiskey Bar and Cigar Lounge. The Whiskey Bar had NO Irish whiskey. A single bottle of Jameson was located in the lobby bar, and stashed in the Whiskey Bar for my husband. No cigar smoking was allowed in the Cigar Lounge. The necessary permits had not been secured before her inaugural trip. We spent our onboard credit at the spa, which was quite wonderful. We loved our trip, and plan to cruise on her again.
