    To those affected by the rattling sound of the bezel: it is caused by the small "springs" inside the bezel (actually are simply springy metal stripes) which become loose if you remove/install the bezel a couple of times. So when they are loose the bezel has a little play which causes the rattling.
    A simple solution is to just slightly deform the center of those stripes toward the internal of the bezel, so that they will keep the bezel firmly in place.

    5 weeks in and I am overall really happy with the watch and app from Xiaomi. I have noticed that by taking care to position watch corrcetly and tightening band when working out I get more reliable readings for heart rate. After workout it is back to normal more loose and comfy fit that has proved ok for everyday use.

      Hi! For me it just vibrated when I used the running reminders / alerts. If there was voice feedback the volume was probably so low that I never heard it as either run in the city or in a busy park - and I use normally bluetooth earphones connected to my phone as well so I wouldn't have heard it anyway...normally the watch vibrating was fine for me.

      28/05/2024

      25/06/2024
      Xiaomi Watch S3: 845
      Garmin Forerunner 165: 2072
      Needless to say, I am as shocked as anybody else is that the Xiaomi Watch S3 underestimates the total calories so much. You are absolutely right - thanks for asking the question so others in the comments are aware about this 🙌🏼

    Which is the longest track, you can record? 5 hours? 10? 20? For example, when I go to a full day bicycle tour, is it possible to record the whole day, for example from 6am to 6pm?

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi! There are lots of variables around battery life and the settings you chose on your watch (including the climate/temperature you're running in).
      For me, on average, the battery drained by around 3-4% for an outdoor run in the UK (raining at the time) lasting 35 mins with GPS on, always-on-display off, medium brightness when I did use the screen during the run.
      So just doing a rough calculation assuming your cycling sesh drains say 5% (conservative) every 40 mins and you start with 100% charge, theoretically (assuming you have similar settings and climeate as I did), the watch should last for approx 13 hours. Remember, just a rough calculation here using own experience so you might get less or more (possibly more) duration than that.
      Hope that helps 😀

      @thewearableist  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi. Does it really? I don't recall seeing it when I was using it! I tried looking online and in various sub-reddits to confirm but no luck! Manufacturers normally make a big deal out of multi-sport profiles like triathlons and duathlons as its normally found in more expensive sports watches and can't see anything in Xioami's material around this unfortunately.
      If the seller can show you proof (photo of the Triathlon mode?) then that's great!
      Let us know in the comments if you get that confirmation so it helps others too Multi-sport watch for £110 would be a bargain, compared to a £599 Galaxy Watch Ultra! I'd be a bit hesitant with it's durability though 🤔

      Hi! Thanks for confirming that here - having multi-sport profiles like Triathlon in the Watch S3 is absolutely a bargain given Samsung made a special "Ultra" watch costing $650 / £599 with multi-sport profiles! Hi! Not sure about others in the comments, but Xiaomi don't recommend this watch for diving, here's a direct extract from their website: "It is not suitable for wearing in hot showers, saunas, or while diving. Make sure to avoid direct impacts from swift currents during water sports. Water resistance is not permanent and may deteriorate over time".
      If you're diving up to 100 m for a short duration (10 mins) checkout the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
      For proper deep sea diving for long durations, you're better off with a Suunto Ocean (www.suunto.com/en-gb/Products/dive-computers-and-instruments/suunto-ocean/suunto-ocean-all-black/) or a Garmin Descent, or the new Garmin Fenix 8 also has diving capabilities but with an eye watering price tag 🥹 www.garmin.com/en-GB/c/sports-fitness/dive-computers-smartwatches/

      Hi! The Xiaomi Watch S3 has a swimming activity and should be fine for use in a swimming pool as per their official specs. I haven't personally tested the Huawei Watch Fit 3 but a quick look suggests it should also be fine for swimming.
      Check this link out showing a comparison of both: versus.com/en/huawei-watch-fit-3-vs-xiaomi-watch-s3
      Interestingly, the above link suggests the Huawei Watch Fit 3 has a stroke counter for swimming - which might be great for your use case? I haven't tested it personally so can't comment on its accuracy though.
