I've bought the Honda Winner X. So far it's amazing!
I bought a brand new Honda lead in Can Tho 7 weeks ago very happy with it ,great in the city and on open roads , cost 45 mil but had to put it in my girlfriends name due to my visa situation. I don’t have an international license but that doesn’t stop me riding it .
The minivan of Vietnam 🤭. The space is surely convenient.
Don’t Forget you need a International license. When you apply for your international license that will ask you for how many years you want your license to be good for. When I applied I selected a ten year license and it cost me $89.

piaggio owns vespa....Vespa has been around since WWII.....I have 2 piggiao's 50 & 125. I love em both...Italians. nicely engineered...I have a 2005 & and 2013. I would get a 2024 50 or 150 sport...Honda, just has a lot of money. Engineering isn't what piaggio is...for sure.....!!!

What would you say is the difference in daily practicality of say a Honda airblade vs a Honda Grom.
For example, where do you leave your helmet with the latter once parket somewhere?

u could put a rack on the back of the grom. but for most instances in the
City a Scooter is better. Only people that really wanna go through gears and have some speed should look into Motorcycles

Airblade is more comfortable and has some storage space. And I assume a higher comfort from the bigger wheels and better suspension.
Having been here for 4 weeks now, driving a 50cc till I get my A1 license, and having seen a couple of Grom's driving around, I lean a bit towards something 'bigger'.

My friend & I are coming into Vietnam with our foreign motorbike in a couple of days. I just learned that they don't allow if it's over 175cc. Ours is a 250cc. Can we still enter? Does anybody here know?

How difficult is it to apply for a driving license and a fair price to rent a decent scooter in SGN?
Not easy to get a license in Vietnam but 100k a day for rental or obviously if longer can be cheaper
Very easy , you don’t have to do much except have some confidence in riding. Do a couple of figure 8s don’t put your feet on the floor when you are doing these movements and that’s about it you’ve got your license.

It is illegal to drive a motobike in Vietnam unless you have a TRC or work permit. You will need one or the other to obtain a Vietnam license. This is a new law as of Oct. 2023. To get either, you must also have Vietnam health insurance and moto insurance. NO visitors or tourists can drive a motobike over 50 cc in Vietnam. International licenses do not work and not accepted in Vietnam.
