You need to have someone clued in to what you're doing or someone good at following instructions who won't do anything you don't tell them as your extra pair of hands. I've seen a guy remove the pin and start winding up the string before it was supposed to be. I made a lining mistake myself on Friday. The end lines and sidelines were marked out nice and square with pins and string. First end line went smoothly with the roller. Halfway down the first side line, I noticed a slight curve further down the string as it had been caught in the grass somehow so I stopped. The line behind was slightly curved and was noticeably off when we straightened the string and tightened it a bit more.
