    How many cans of paint did this take?

      8-10 cans on initial layout. 4-6 cans to repaint. Depends on speed of walking and length of the turf.

    How many tape measures and cans did you use? How much string do you recommend?

    • @CREENBIRDVideos
      @CREENBIRDVideos  4 года назад +4

      I use two 400 foot tapes and two 300 foot tapes. Approximately 8-10 cans for the first lining. Repainting usually takes 4-6 cans depending on how faded it is. Easier to keep it fresh. Enough string to stretch a piece the length of the field. 360 feet. And another piece to go across the field. 210 feet.

    How many stakes do you use for this set up ?

    • @CREENBIRDVideos
      @CREENBIRDVideos  Месяц назад

      I use 4 big screwdrivers that fit through the end of the tape measures. I use an additional 4 or 5 screwdrivers for marking the boxes. Bright colors are great so you can see them when making straight lines and not losing them. Having them fit in your pocket is beneficial so you don’t have to walk back to the truck or cart when you need one.

      Or you can buy a paint machine for a more professional result. The video uses the aerosol method, which is fast and cheaper than buying a full on machine. You can always go over the aerosol layout with a machine later.

    How do you make sure corners line up?

    • @CREENBIRDVideos
      @CREENBIRDVideos  2 года назад +1

      When you square up in the beginning. When you measure equal at each end after squaring up it stays the same.

    • @CREENBIRDVideos
      @CREENBIRDVideos  2 года назад +1

      As long as your first corner is 100% square, everything else should stay square as long as your tape measures are straight and your measurements are equal. Keeping the tapes straight is key.

      My team member and I can do a full soccer field in less than an hour using this method on a field that is sufficient in size and properly mowed. I have done this exact field by myself from scratch in less than an hour and a half. In my defense, I'm getting older and I'm a little bit slower, but I've been painting fields this way for 20+ years. Thanks for watching my video and commenting.
