To me as an autistic person the misunderstanding or friction in communicating to and with non autistic persons is, that non autistic persons communicate to "manipulate" the other to achieve their goals. That way their way of communication always isn't authentic in a sense of being straight or even blunt but it is social. In other words the "manipulation" is an artefact of sociality and so is the speech act of a non autistic person. On the other hand as an autistic person you are centered in yourself and what you communicate rather needs to be meaningful, ontological consistent, concise and so forth. So while you are communicating the intend of your speech act does not concern "manipulating" the other and thus it does not concern sociality in the non autistic sense. Non autistic persons do not get the difference most of the times. They project their communication style onto autistic persons and thus imply that their way of communicating has the intend to "manipulate". In other words they think the autistic speech act is imbedded in the interaction as a social "Sprachspiel" which it isn't. That's why the autistic way of communication lacks these unintentional and "manipulative" innuendoes where if an autistic person adds an innuendo it is intentional and most of the times non autistic persons don't get the intentionality of the innuendo.
