you mean to tell me I have been watching your videos for EIGHT years?? how tf did that happen. I feel old. I think Buzzfeed Test #4 was the very first one I watched. I've loved seeing how your channel has grown and evolved over the years, just didn't quite realize it had been that many years lol. Would love to see you revisit some more of the early tests and revamp them!
You should definitely do this again, but in a series capped by year (2016, 2017, 2018, ..., present)! Maybe with a focus on the most viewed ones, the hardest ones, or your underrated favorites.
Looking at the thumbnail, it is really nostalgia to see Newbie David in 2015 start off his journey making Buzzfeed's Recipes. Now, in 2023 we see Intermediate Chef David now rose to become the best chef ever! P.S. i'm not calling him Expert Chef yet, because he has more things to learn and experience even if it takes years or so. But hopefully David will soon rose as an Expert Chef that might take over Jamie Oliver and Rachel lol
Man, I'm gonna be 100% honest. I started watching you because your earliest cooking videos infuriated me, but seeing you develop the skill over time is what got me hooked. It's really awesome to see you put it so firmly into perspective!
Its so crazy to think I’ve been watching you since your very first video. I think number 7 was when I first discovered you. You’ve grown so much as a chef David. Don’t let views dropping discourage you to leave, you’re an inspiration!!! We LOVE you!!!! 🤍🤍🤍
I can't believe it's been almost eight years. The time sure flies. It's been so awesome to watch you grow in the kitchen. Very happy to still be watching today! Here's to another eight years and beyond!
Watching you pour that funfetti abomination on your beautiful chocolate ball made me crack up 😂 thank you David, you always bring the entertainment lol
Not usually a commenter, but couldn’t help but say it’s been awesome to see you grow throughout the years. You’ve really come so far and are continuing to blossom! All the love, dude! 💖
I can’t believe it’s been 8 years! I started watching you during my first year of high school and I remember getting out of school every thursday looking forward to watching your new videos 😄 Still love your channel to this day of course, thanks for putting out such consistently great content 🫶
Awwwww baby David was so freaking adorable!!!!!! Is it weird to say I’m proud of you??? It’s the mom in me. Seriously man…..really cool to be here then and now.
This was incredible david! This hit where i always want nostalgia to hit man! And i KNEW that You would unclude the fudgey brownies here too! They're so CLASSIC! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
8 yearsss!? Insane! Thank you for your many sacrifices within these 8 years, David. Your channel is my comfort channel and I watch it all the time, ESPECIALLY on days where I feel down. You’re one of the best RUclipsrs out there!
I've been watching your channel consistently ever since your first ten or so buzzfeed test videos. I'm not even sure if there's any other youtube channel I've been subscribed to for that long. There's just something incredibly comforting about watching your videos and it's been great to see you grow as a cook and as a creator. You're so consistent with the frequency and quality of your content and I genuinely appreciate the way you engage with your audience. I understand that getting less views than usual can be stressful but please keep in mind that a lot of us subscribers have been here for a long time and will continue to support you in the future. We love you ❤
I can't recall when David stopped falling over when the food was absolutely incredible but that would make me feel nostalgic. If you try a new recipe and fall out of the chair, no words needed. That's OG David Seymour
I can’t believe I’ve been watching you for this long! Wow! Thank you David, you’re one of the very few channels I’m still looking forward to watch every week.
Been watching you since I was in high school! I’m 24 now so you can do the math! So glad you are still around❤❤❤ You should try recreating timpano or the teardrop cake!
13 year old me always wanted to make the pizza dip but was too scared of spilling it when getting it from the oven… now I’m 20 and still scared of that molten heart attack waiting to happen😂😂
8 YEARS?? damn i feel old. I watched you in high school and i graduated college years ago. Still remembering the struggles from your early days along with you falling on the floor when something was super tasty to you.
I used to make the pizza dip for every party I had and movie nights, it was always a hit. I haven't made it since highschool(5yrs) I need to again! I can't believe I've been watching your videos so long!
The dip and the pie...I want to eat them so bad!!! I've got to look up all three recipes. Sorry I wasn't following you 8 years ago, David! I found your channel about a year ago and LOVE your videos!
No idea how your views are slipping.. i’m here as soon as I get the notification every time… even tho i’m on UK 🇬🇧 time! Love your content keep it up king x❤
I love this! Whenever I think of these chocolate balls, I remember my FIL making a fancy dessert for bridge night when they hosted. He’d seen something with using balloons to make dishes out of chocolate for mousse and such, so he decided he needed to be fancy. The difficulty came in getting the temperature of the chocolate just right. He and my MIL had only been in their townhouse a couple of years. (They just celebrated 21 years of marriage.). He went to dip the first balloon and as he got it coated, it popped. Chocolate all over FIL, chocolate all over the counter and chocolate on the ceiling. 😂 My MIL heard the pop and K swearing. She was shocked and then started laughing. He did manage to make 8 chocolate cups for mousse…after they cleaned up the spray from the first balloon. She still kids him about it from time to time. So do his daughters, my husband’s stepsisters.
been watching since the beginning 🥰 he even took my advice in buzzfeed test #9! it's great to see how david's grown as a cook and as a person over all these years
I am so with you, on Cilantro/Corriander Leaves. I used to have sympathy, but then there was my father’s wife #5. She L❤️🔥VED my pasta salad, and even asked me to come over, and make a huge batch for a dinner party she was having. Later, at an Indian restaurant, she complained about the cilantro. I pointed out to her that the pasta salad has only: pasta, chopped black/Kalamata olives, red onion, tomato, feta, dressing, and many, many handfuls of CILANTRO. She never relented, and never admitted I was right. I feel no pity for them. None.
Oh the nostalgia! I actually knew this recipe before you first reviewed it. It is delicious 😊 also you going to check views for a few thousands reminds me of my current partner who has a passion like you! Edit: if you want an even better taco seasoning mixture.. toast up guajillo, ancho, pasilla, and arbol chillies then grind it up with some paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder!
When the Japanese flavor or garnish a dish with a splash of another ingredient, it's sometimes called a bukkake. I feel that is appropriate for that final dish.
Wow i feel old! I have been watching you since the beginning and its amazing to see how far you've come along! Also, Timpano!! please bring it back. P.S that melted funfetti looks like something I dont wanna say on the internet :D
Don't worry David, your views are only down because most of us are/were on vacation - we will catch up once we get back home and all will be fine! Your videos are helpful, informative, and hilarious as well - perfect combo!
pleaseeee try not to feel too disheartened about the decrease in views 😩 i know you deserve better and i really hope the channel takes off again soon, but either way i’ll still watch. everyone else i started watching around the same time has basically disappeared. i still love you and your content ❤️ i’m so proud of your growth
Can't believe I've been watching for that long, remember hearing about you first from Threadbanger. You've improved so much as a creator and I can't wait to see what's in store for the future.
Chocolate wafers are great to use! They’re basically the same as chocolate with the cocoa butter replaced with oil for the chocolate is less finicky. I do some pretty hardcore hobby pastry making and would absolutely never recommend working with real chocolate to a beginner/ casual baker.
Always love your channel !!! I’ve been off RUclips for a while so just catching up on everyone’s videos But keep it up going it going you’re fire at this homie !!!
Missing the days i when i always looked forward for your buzzfeed videos 🥲 from chocolate croissant to timpano to what not. Randomly stumbled upon your channel some time in 2016 and have never stopped watching your videos ever since
My personal favourite type of your videos is when you compare top RUclips chefs recipes for the same type of dish and declare a winner. I’ve based decisions on your conclusions before. Even though we have different opinions on cream cheese! ;)
wow 8 years :,•) i was just cooking and I thought of you. I was like “wow I haven’t watched his videos in a while” then come back to watch this video. def a sign for me to start watching more often :•)
David you should do a video where you take a dish (maybe that you have experience with) and make your OWN variations of the dish and see which one tastes best, based on your own recipes.
Reminder: Melted white chocolate funfetti = great for bachelorette parties.
🤣
Money shot..,.,,..
Awwwwfulll lololol
I read this comment before I got to that part of the video….and now. I agree.

Yess to this, like a “top 5 recipes of 2016” with the most viewed ones
9:30 was truly the climax of this video 😁 Great content as always!
😏
Ya nasty!!
It had to be said lmao
why...
@@misslinguinni I mean it didn't help that he even comments about the liquid in his own video
I remember those old BuzzFeed videos…. I’m glad you’re revisiting them 😍
So many things have changed... other have stayed the same
Agreed!!!

You crushed that chocolate ball separation this time David, it looked perfect!! Your nemesis from years past is well and truly vanquished! 😜
Now that David finally did the chocolate sphere perfectly, can he try the fire skull that two separate chefs did for phoning it in on Try Guys?
LOL that white chocolate does look questionable hahaha
the funfetti liquid is definitely spunky! 😉😂
Man, I'm gonna be 100% honest. I started watching you because your earliest cooking videos infuriated me, but seeing you develop the skill over time is what got me hooked.
It's really awesome to see you put it so firmly into perspective!
Lol , The Falls When Something Was Delicious . Great Memories !

So does this mean that David is finally over his cream cheese trauma
Truly the embodiment of "I will never change, but I will never stay the same either"
That finishing drizzle was a different type of lovely
i started watching u in high school literally 7 years ago and i feel like i’ve grown up watching ur videos every week :’)
I’d love to see a falafel comparison!
I can’t believe it’s been 8 years! I started watching you during my first year of high school and I remember getting out of school every thursday looking forward to watching your new videos 😄 Still love your channel to this day of course, thanks for putting out such consistently great content 🫶

I remember when I made this pizza dip for my boyfriend when we just moved in together. Also almost 8 years ago. So thank you for 8 years David

I’ve always loved your videos ❤ this one was nice to see ~ we love a nostalgic moment
I used to make the pizza dip for every party I had and movie nights, it was always a hit. I haven't made it since highschool(5yrs) I need to again! I can't believe I've been watching your videos so long!
And the chicken parm lasagna you made forever ago was a go to dinner for me to make my family
Holy Buzzfeed!! 8 years!! Congrats David! Looking forward to more!
Congrats on finally perfecting the chocolate ball, David!
You are still a part of my end-of-the-day RUclips unwinding sessions, thanks for all the content you’ve made!
Hope to see you recreate that mirror cake, or whatever it was called. I still laugh whenever I remember the sad reveal 🤣
The dip and the pie...I want to eat them so bad!!! I've got to look up all three recipes. Sorry I wasn't following you 8 years ago, David! I found your channel about a year ago and LOVE your videos!
wow didnt know how long ago these were! but having this pop up on my recommended was fun!
No idea how your views are slipping.. i’m here as soon as I get the notification every time… even tho i’m on UK 🇬🇧 time! Love your content keep it up king x❤
It's been a long journey! Very nice to see how far you've come and how much you've improved, can't wait to see what's coming next
This is so fun! Love the nostalgia. I feel like it would be awesome to see you do some Mythical Kitchen recipes too!
I love this! Whenever I think of these chocolate balls, I remember my FIL making a fancy dessert for bridge night when they hosted. He’d seen something with using balloons to make dishes out of chocolate for mousse and such, so he decided he needed to be fancy.

Yeah, when you poured that white chocolate it looked like you were REALLY ehm... excited... for the brownies 😁
I know I’m just one person but your channel is the only food channel I watch religiously. You should have more views.
been watching since the beginning 🥰 he even took my advice in buzzfeed test #9! it's great to see how david's grown as a cook and as a person over all these years

It'd be so cool to see you do a "cottagecore" recipe video! I feel like I see so many on my TikTok fyp and I wanna see if they're as good as they look
We arrived huh?? Definitely looked like an arrival. All jokes aside, Great video!!!
I love your content David, it’s been a great journey watching your cooking skills get better and better each year. Keep it up 👍
07:42 I started laughing when he listed the ingredients😂 such a classic but my go to brownie recipe too😁
Awww love the throw back and of course you made the fudgy bownies lol
Homemade taco seasoning was also a game-changer for me. So much more flavor and less salt!
I grew up with your videos from the pizza dip! From the moment I turned 12 all the way to almost finishing my bachelor… crazy
That brownie recipe is solid gold
I love your videos, I have been watching every single one of them for like 3 years. Also starting following you with that pizza dip
David I was in high school when I started watching you and now I am a college graduate like whattttt????
I was low key expecting David to fall down the floor after re-tasting the pizza dip
Don't worry David, your views are only down because most of us are/were on vacation - we will catch up once we get back home and all will be fine! Your videos are helpful, informative, and hilarious as well - perfect combo!
I legit thought you were just going to put a block of cream cheese inside the chocolate ball.
pleaseeee try not to feel too disheartened about the decrease in views 😩 i know you deserve better and i really hope the channel takes off again soon, but either way i’ll still watch. everyone else i started watching around the same time has basically disappeared. i still love you and your content ❤️ i’m so proud of your growth
Holy shit David when you said 8 YEARS AGO I SHIT MY PANTS. I remember when you started these my god.
How do you think I feel lmao I was already the grandad of our group
Can't believe I've been watching for that long, remember hearing about you first from Threadbanger. You've improved so much as a creator and I can't wait to see what's in store for the future.
THE MAGIC CHOCOLATE BALL!! It was one of the first tasty videos I watched. Can't believe the original is gone.
Chocolate wafers are great to use! They’re basically the same as chocolate with the cocoa butter replaced with oil for the chocolate is less finicky. I do some pretty hardcore hobby pastry making and would absolutely never recommend working with real chocolate to a beginner/ casual baker.
I am here from the pizza dip video, can't believe it has been 7 years 😱😱
I don't understand why this channel doesn't have more subscribers
The nostalgia is really hitting I can't believe it's been 8 years im about to start my last year of college now 😭
I love this idea, because a lot of my food and cooking ideas have changed in that time, and I’m interested to see how yours have, too!
Dude is really splooshin on his desserts
Laughing maniacally at the funfetti pour
Yeahhh old-school ❤❤❤
cannot believe ive actually been here since ur first buzzfeed tests lol
We appreciate this channel for giving us quality content. We wish them all the best
I started watching your Videos almost right from your start at RUclips and i so remember all these tasty Videos. 😂😂
Never been so early! Loved the retry!
Omg you falling after eating the pizza dip is like a core memory for me that I completely forgot about until this video :0
Love that ur revisiting things!! It would be cool to see you put your own spin on some things
Great video, looking forward to see more like this!
I tried that taco pie back in 2015. It was fire!
Wow, that chocolate melting was really a good climax to the video :o
Love this! Part two is in order
I’d love to see you try some tasting history recipes!
That magic chocolate ball needs a Halloween theme to make it work with that melted funfetti. 🤢🎃
Yes! Please do more of these!
Ily dude, keep it up, your content is awesome!
Always love your channel !!! I’ve been off RUclips for a while so just catching up on everyone’s videos
But keep it up going it going you’re fire at this homie !!!
dude!! i loved your videos when i was 13-15. miss those times, so this is definitely sentimental for me
literally a remake
not the cream cheese 😭
The timpano tho that's what i fully connect your channel with
Missing the days i when i always looked forward for your buzzfeed videos 🥲 from chocolate croissant to timpano to what not. Randomly stumbled upon your channel some time in 2016 and have never stopped watching your videos ever since

wow 8 years :,•) i was just cooking and I thought of you. I was like “wow I haven’t watched his videos in a while” then come back to watch this video. def a sign for me to start watching more often :•)
For the taco pie, I would sub the pie crust for tortillas and add refried beans!
David you should do a video where you take a dish (maybe that you have experience with) and make your OWN variations of the dish and see which one tastes best, based on your own recipes.
