- Deze uit New Mexico afkomstige Gitarist is met een gestage opmars door Europa bezig.De jonge muzikant won van maar liefst 4000 gitaristen de Ernie Ball-gitaarwedstrijd en veroverde daarmee een plekje op Eric Clapton’s prestigieuze Crossroads Guitar Festival. Sindsdien ging het hard: In het blad the Guitaris Player magazine werd hij in 2013 als beste Young Guiater talent uitgeroepen. Zijn cd’s verkopen als een tierelier en samen met zijn band geeft hij verpletterend goede optredens tijdens hun extensieve tours door Amerika en Europa.
Zijn derde CD heeft zojuist het levenslicht gezien en de lovende recensies vliegen hem om de oren, en geheel terecht. Zijn uitmuntende gitaarkunsten, zang en dito songwriterskills zijn een absolute aanrader voor elke bluesrockliefhebber of het akoesties is of versterkt.Ondertussen deelt Ryan regelmatig het podium met coryfeeën als Eric Clapton, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa en vele anderen.
Ryan is from my home town in NM. I first saw him playing at the NM State Fair tearing up the fretboard as if there was a crowd of thousands! When people began to catch on he was filling the local bars with fans! He's absolutely a 5-star musician!!
He should be huge ! I know it ... Clapton knows it ... everybody should know : this guy is great !

Great stuff! Love that old-school jammin blues sound. My band centers around that same genre. Never gets old, and leaves lots of room for improvising real-time. 😎
And he did it again at Ribs and Blues Raalte last Weekend ! Together with The Brew the best act this festival 2018.
Best three piece band to come along in a real long time the only negative thing I can say is a better hair cut would not hurt for Ryan nice job fellows hope to see more of the band.

Ryan's guitar playing is masterclass! He sounds like Joe Bonamassa say some in the comments! Joe Bonamassa is also a masterclass guitarist. Another said he needed a better singer. Ryan sings pretty damn good. Not many bands have a phenom of a lead singer like Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Ryan is a truly great talent!

Luckily this has much better sound than live in the front rows. The bass was so loud it drowned a lot of the rest.

I really liked ! but sometimes he sounds very close to the Joe Bonamassa
Although he uses some heavier sounds there'is no specific identity

+wattienz Agreed. And he even talks just like him. The thing I dont like about the guy is his vocals. He always splits words with an emphasis on the letter 'H' and its annoying. For example . Instead of saying 'Worried mind', he would address it as 'Worried mi - hind'

the problem with these guys ryan joe bonamassa etc, is that there is no doubting their gutar expertise they are very good players, but i think they are missing a certain rough edge which for eg hound dog taylor had in boatloads even with a few bum notes he had an earthiness that these modern guys have not rough and raw which is the blues .
I kinda like the occasional roughness of this guy, I do hear unexpected overtones, Bardo Pond, Melvins.
basil bathbone some of that comes from technology. Too clean just like all the remastered craps, it's supposed to be scratchy
Ok so a Plumber turns up to fix a huge leak at your home he knows he should replace pipe but just tapes up the split then charges you the full rate for repair would that be ok I sure would rather have the job done properly like Ryan is playing his guitar any day
