  • Following the previous tutorial on the basics of V-Ray material properties, we are now going to be covering how to take our materials to the next level by using textures in combination with our V-Ray Materials in Maya using V-Ray Next.
    We will be covering how to properly implement textures from the websites like CC0, Texture Haven, Textures.com, Substance Painter, etc. We will understand how to properly use PBR textures that provide Diffuse, roughness, metallic, and normal maps.

    Thank you for this video. Can you please make more videos like this one that are a bit more in-depth?
    I would like to learn more about Blend Mtl, Car Paint Mtl, Fast SSS 2 Mtl and so on.
    Maybe you do a whole course and offer it on Udemy. I would buy it.

    How do i save these materials for easy access in the future?
    In 3Ds amx there is a a library tool, so that you can always save, and then grab the materials you put in the library, in any future project you work on.
    How do i do that in Maya?

    Hey, I would love if you could explain how to make reflective dots on a matte surface. Like the touchpad on the PS4 controller.

    What about the displacement map? how can we use it?

    • @OnMars3D
      @OnMars3D  2 года назад +2

      You have to use a "Displacement Shader" node with the material in the hyper shade then add V-Ray attributes to the geometry to get displacement to work.
