    Steve Lillywhite is one of my absolute favourite producers. He shaped the sound of many of my favourite artists and albums. And he produced my alltime favourite album THE CROSSING by Big Country.

    Excellent video! I'd forgotten that Steve was married to Kirsty MacColl, whose father, Ewan MacColl was an important Irish song writer. Steve has really been at the center of some of the most important music of the past 40 years.

    lillywhite done a great job with the la's album, but I do prefer the original bob andrews version of there she goes from 88
