It's funny to me that Jonny have such a big knowledge about dog breeds but has personality of a cat.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂
Makes me think of one of my dogs. She really seems to have gotten some cat software installed by mistake.
@@antimatterbee9331 My dog is exactly the same. I think something got mixed up at the Dog Making Factory when she was being assembled 😂
Some dogs act like cats🎉
I love how it went from No challenge to an immediate pretty hard quizz, there was no gradual escalation, just a pure jump in the difficulty level.
Whats not to love about dogs...or Jonny!
That's how he rolls 😎
"that sounds like a gelato flavor"
😂😂.
You have the most wonderfully expressive face I've ever seen. It's what makes your videos better better.
Binge watching him until 5 am in the morning, gosh he's so entertaining.
It's 6:20A, and I've been watching his videos since about 10P last night. 😂
"Gracie has come to 'grace us' with her presence." 🤭 I love it 😂
Especially the face he made 😂
the knee slapper 😂
I'm surprised he didn't ask "Gracie" to tell us about her uncle this week...
I read Gracie how you would do it in Italian😭 To much Italy in the last quiz
My daughter’s name is Grace. 😅
I am Italian, and I own a lovely Lagotto Romagnolo. If I know one or two things about the breed is that they're basically pocket Huskies. Over-excited, super loud and extremely stubborn, but they're an awful lot intelligent and very empathetic!
Fun fact: they're the only breed recognized as professional truffle hunters!
So they're "Classy" dogs 🤗! Not duck hunters or stuff like that.. Truffles.... Like a Sir..... 🎩👓
@@andreapaolabaezpaz9733 Oh, but they do hunt ducks! They're from Emilia-Romagna, a region full of bogs and swamps!
My close relative has a truffle farm. There are people that own these dogs and have businesses that go to truffle farms to look for truffles! The one that visits my relative is sooooooooo cuuuuuute!
I’ve seen different dog breeds used to hunt truffles, but I didn’t know there was one specifically for it
@@EmmyAndDeskyUnited oh! So they're multi-tasking dogs!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍😍😍
Dogs and a handsome witty man with long hair. YES. Also Gracie is adorable. ❤️
Your soul and love for dogs is on an enlightened level of happiness
I kept wondering if you were going to introduce us to the OTHER dog on the couch. I was halfway through the video before I realized it's a pillow.
I need new glasses. Or a new brain.
Love your videos. Love your quick wit, keen sense of humor & your obvious love of dogs. I also appreciate all the work you put into your videos.
Hugs from Kentucky.💙☮🌿
Ahahha same
Same. I was like what about the Samoyed!?!?
I got it only slightly sooner. New brain clubbbbb!
Same tho and I did have my glasses on 😂
Same and now I want him to name and introduce the pillow from now on.
"Someone should make cocktails for every single dog breed" dude you just gave yourself a bomb video idea. Please make it happen, I always get a dopamine hit when I see you upload.
👍👍👍👍😅
^^^^upvote yes please!!
I still hope this happens!
Jonny, you bring joy and laughter to me and all my unsuspecting family and friends. Thank you.
I love him. He's entertaining and cute as a button!
You should make cocktails for every dog breed!
Absolutely. A whole new playlist theme.
Definitely!
Lol, a Chihuahua would be tequila with a dash of psychopath. 🤣
@@cheyanngluck8194 you guys leave my Chihuahuas alone 🥰😂
@@cheyanngluck8194 or Jack Daniel's
I love that this man has made dogs his thing and we’re all just “yeah this is excellence” BECAUSE IT IS
Alaskan huskies are not a recognized breed, but they're basically the best sled dogs out there. They're bred for endurance, and are often a mix of siberian husky, pointer, german shepherd, saluki, malamute, and other polar breeds.
You left the gray hound. They mix siberian husky with the gray hound for a husky coat with gray hound speed.
That sounds like an identity crisis! 😂
Our Alaskan Husky is a husky/malamute mix. She is 80lbs of stubborn drama and an attention whore. We love her!
Not enough people are talking about how precious and adorable gracie is
I really did get 100. Only reason? I am an old lady and got 500 plus page dog books when I was a kid and have studied dog breeds from around the world for twice your years on earth, Johnny. You ARE amazing! Hospice foster senior dogs.⭕️❌❤️
And he didn't delete your comment!❤
I used to have a Westminster Kennel Club poster hanging next to my bed so I’m shockingly familiar with dog breeds too
Thank you so much for fostering hospice dogs! It’s so needed!!! Temporary foster to help owners who are going through chemotherapy or need surgery would be amazing too. The shelter I worked at did some of that. One night we suddenly ended up temporarily caring for about 6 large parrots saved from a house fire. They were well-loved and well cared for birds that arrived in large, clean cages. A large urban shelter was maybe not the ideal foster location, but the owners were at least grateful they had someplace safe to be while their home was still smoldering. One of the McCaws liked to sing “Good Ship Lollipop” when he was anxious, and he apparently was anxious cause it was near incessant.
I want that book!
Not enough people are talking about how precious and adorable gracie is🥺❤️❤️🥺
Gracie is is adorable! 😁💖
She really is a gorgeous girl 💝
At 4:20 my national pride (that comes out only for dogs and art) went all "uh! Bellino il Lagotto!"
The breed is quite common here in Italy, lately "rediscovered" as a great family dog, but is mainly a working breed, basically a small retriever perfect for lakes and swamps.
And he's also a great truffle dog 😁
I occasionally "babysit" one. He is very sweet, but suprisingly he's a very high energy dog and needs a lot of running, otherwise he's not really happy. Fortunatelly it goes perfectly well with my briard girl. We go daily for long walks in the forest together. Perfect companin for active people and dogs.
❤
Everyone's already talked about Gracie and the dogs, but like you're cute too. 10/10 would watch again.
3:00 As a Husky owner and just Husky obsessed person in general, that was most definitely a Siberian Husky.
The quizz was wrong, it’s pet quality, not show quality by any means (curved tail, coat too short, etc) but a Husky nonetheless.
Klee Kai’s are much smaller, have a very different more fragile body structure and a small-dog face.
Btw your pronunciation of Papillon and Schipperke sent me into orbit 😭
Great video!
Thank you. With no size reference, it can be hard to determine a diminutive breed from it's original size (or vice versa).
I was looking to see if someone else noticed this. Wtf. Whoever chose that picture needs to open a freaking encyclopedia.
I saw this too. But I'm not a huge husky fan, so I couldn't tell you the difference or whatever, but it just seems kinda strange the amount of husky-esque dogs that had very... Native to English sounding names.
@@kayjacoby290 Not in this case. Klee Kai proportions are different to Siberian Husky proportions. That was not a Klee Kai.
Yes, that was definitely a Husky.
I just died laughing hearing you say Papillon (pap-ee-yon) and Schipperke (ship-err-key) alone, but that last quiz was definitely hard, never heard of some of those breeds!
Really? I also thought it was "skipperkee." TIL!
I think "Skipper key" is the accepted pronunciation in English. The "ch" in Flemish is similar to the "ch" in the Scottish "loch," which we don't have in English, so we usually replace it with a "k" sound 😅😅😅
But "Pah-pillion" did make me lol 😹😹😹
Funnily enough if you say puppy yawn you get the pronunciation almost right for papillion.
@@michielvincent3988 OMG, that is too adorable!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! 😻😻😻😻😻
You are so witty, creative and fabulous! Another one of few I found on internet to get me go through this life!
I have been a certified dog trainer for about 15 years and spent countless hours volunteering in shelters. I was with you on most of them..One way to really challenge your breed knowledge is to do it with puppies. Also, once the Iron Curtain came down, a tonne of new breeds were introduced to us. I have a book on them that is fascinating. Still loving your channel. Cheers.
Here's a challenge for you
Collect photos of mixed breed dogs that have had their DNA test done and let's see if we can guess the breeds that make it up. That could be fun.
Omg. That sounds like a hoot.
I helped to create the first dog park in NH. We played a game called bits and pieces. We would watch dogs enter and would guess. We loved all the fantastically unique and special mixes.
Ooh I’d love this! I have a mixed breed dog that has been DNA tested and I think his breed mixture is pretty hard to guess. Sign me up for this please!!!
I'll have to post my dog's DNA test once it comes back and see if y'all can guess her breeds!
@@jodileben694 I’ll take that challenge. It won’t be easy from just a phot. It’s easier if you can see the gait. The walk and run to see the skeletal structure. But I’ll give it a go.🙃
I love your videos and cannot get enough of them! I used to be a dog trainer and you capture the typical personalities of the different breeds spectacularly.
Congrats on getting the Catahoula question right, that was the only one I answered faster than you…but I have 2 Catahoulas so I had a slight advantage. 😁
Anyone who lives in Louisiana probably knows that one--others, not so much. But they are darned easy to spot--unlike all of those furry, pointy-eared, wolfy-looking things.
@@melbrod3868 that’s why I love the breed. So unique looking and a challenge 🤣. I’m from Texas and ended up with a “Lab” that starting changing colors. Vet said, “The color change is normal. You have a healthy Catahoula.” I thought my vet had lost his mind. It wasn’t a cat, it was a dog. 🤣 Needless to say, I had to take a trip to the library and do some research on the breed.
Jonny: "Dogs can't look up"
Poodle: "Hold my beer... No, above and slightly behind my head"
Thanks for making all of us at our vet hospital laugh! Any chance you would ever do a spoof on the Groenendael and their FOMO and the Flat-Coated Retriever velcro dogs that wag their tails while sleeping 😴. Keep up the amazing comedy!
"Gracie pay attention to me. _Gracie_ . *GRACIE* " Jonny just became my rottweiler.
I did get more right, but only because I have a giant book of over 500 different dog breeds. So I kind of feel like I was cheating. I just love dogs. Also, you were exactly correct there was a whole bunch of those dog breed names you slaughtered, man. However, I will give it to you. I got tripped up on a couple that you did as well. Please keep up the dog breed videos though. Their food for my soul. I like dogs more than I like people and you are like the most epic cross between the two. You make watching, listening and looking at other human beings, more bearable. So DOGgone it, I love you!
I'm sensing you don't have a dog? That's a tragedy my friend.
@@riverraven7 there is where you would be wrong. I did years of research before getting my first dog and even volunteered at an animal shelter to get well acquainted with some of the behavioral issues that can develop in dogs. I am now the proud owner of a German Shepherd, and a husky, one grumpy old lady cat. Some of the impersonations he does have dog breeds actually remind me of dogs that I met in the shelter. So I absolutely love his videos.
What book is that?! I want one!
@@AudreyStar17 unfortunately, the book I have is currently out of print and doesn’t look like it will be coming back. However, I can give you the name of the next best one I found,
Every Dog: A Book of Over 450 Breeds by Nancy Hajeski.
There are some dog breeds missing. For example, there’s no section on the Eastern or Western Laika. There’s also not a section on Native American Indian dogs or any of their crossbreeds. From my own personal experience, dealing with some of the dog breeds mentioned in the book they don’t always have temperament, right. However, it does make a wonderful guide to help you look into different breeds. Doing your own research is always beneficial as well. Each person can have a completely different experience with a dog breed, and each person can do better with one dog breed than another. So it’s always best to be able to experience to breed firsthand, but this is a great way to look into new ones that you’ve never heard of before.
Also, I will give some credit to the AKC for getting much more inclusive with their breed guide over the last few years.
They now recognize over 200 dog breeds as of 2022.
Another good breed book you can look up is
The Complete Dog Breed Book, New Edition by DK.
It has around 420 dog breeds in it if I remember correctly.
You can always find some great books about dog breeds and complete dog breed guides on Amazon. You also find one off authors, who specialize in a particular breed. Also, some of the out of print dog breed books will occasionally come up for sale in used or even sometimes brand new condition through smaller sellers.
@@AngelWish3 I own more dog breed books than I own shoes! The DK book is really great and I recommend it highly. There are many breeds which are pretty much found only in their country of origin (so aren't listed in most of the breed books. I stumbled across a gem of a book that does include a lot of these breeds. It's called Dogs, and it's written by Dr Bruce Fogle.
2:23 I think a black Russian terrier themed cocktail would just be a white Russian made with plain old black coffee instead of coffee liquor
Im really loving your style and performance. It’s so spot on. You have a really strong personality as a man and you’re transferring it into dog breeds I’m just laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes every time I see one of your videos Thank you very much from Denmark.
❤😃
Love your content! I think you should do a video matching drinks to breeds.
Yes!!!
Missed almost exactly the same ones you did. Except for one … I was yelling Brittany Spaniel as loud as I could, but I think you’re quite far from my kitchen.
Great roundup! I share all your videos with my grandkids. They love them. Carry on, Johnny! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Fun fact about why the Scottish deerhound looks like an irish wolfhound is because the wolfhound almost went extinct at one point and in efforts to bring them back deerhounds (and a few other dog breeds) were bred together.
He’s literally a doggo in human form🐶❤
Yes! You've shown us a Dutch Kooikerhondje in a video. A very smart dog, which loves to run, swim and retrieve.
Loved this! And also please do another educational video soon please? I know it didn't perform well, but won't you think of the dog nerds? We like content too 🥺
Amazing dog knowledge! Your dog impressions are the best!!! 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾
0:07 that’s so me rn my stummy is up to something sinister 😞😞😞
I honestly fell for most of the bait answers in the last quiz. My dog would say that my performance was "Ruff.".
Ireally enjoyed your dogs playing D&D. I'd love to see you do more of those kinds of videos, or a reenactment of the famous "Dogs Playing Poker" painting?! 🤔😆 I think it would be awesome to see what you come up with! Maybe even some "if popular movie characters were dogs" would be fun! 😄
Yes! That would be fantastic!
So… would a Rottweiler or a Doberman be “Batman”? 😂
Hmm...imagine Robin Hood as a dog...depending on the version of Robin Hood, of course. The original Kevin Costner version would be a GSD, IMO, just because of that "Gonna lead and defend my people," (because that training montage is still 🔥) and "I would give it all...I would sacrifice" (a line from the Bryan Adams song)....
And then there's Cary Elwes as RH in the Mel Brooks "Men In Tights" parody:
"Unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." With that bit of polite sass, I can see either of the Spaniel breeds, or Yorkshire Terrier...or maybe Staffordshire Terrier (though as I recall looking at a map of England, Nottingham is actually closer to Yorkshire. 😅)
This guy is soooooooo funny & acts exactly like the Dog he's doing the impersonation of! I can't get enough of watching his videos!!😂❤
I adore your sense of humor. Gracie is beautiful, too! Fun video.
Yay for Catahoula leopard dog making the list (you said it right). State dog for Louisiana, climbs trees and helps with hunting large game.
We have one up in North Dakota. She loves the snow, and her webbed feet act like snow shoes and it's crazy.
Leopard dog part actually confused me for a second, always referred to them as Catahoula hounds.
The last ones...I missed them all!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...... Keep going with the videos please!! And thanks Gracie to grace us with her presence 🤗💛🐾🐾
3:41 - I swear those 4 dog breed names sound like Middle Earth dwarf names... 😁
Got them all, but honestly that last quiz was with pretty rare breeds. Even in the dog trainer world very few people have ever seen, let alone worked, a Mudi or a Catahoula leopard dog (or some of those other breeds). I am honestly a bit surprised they didn't ask a Pumi/Hungarian Pumi as one of the photos, as those are relatively popular in such quizzes (though it was an option with the Mudi's).
After hearing you pronounce Shipperke and Papillon, I kind of want to hear you say Kooikerhondje (a Dutch breed bred for luring ducks) and Tervuren shepherd too....
Lmao, I rewatched this for the second time and noticed there was a frame with "ur not even my dad" written over Gracie. What a hilarious video through and through lmao
This channel deserves far more subscribers, and I don't understand why it's not close to at least half a million. Jonny is funny as hell and because I'm basically a dog person, I really love his content.
And, by the way, I got way more right than you did. But you won't delete this comment, will you? 😁😁
I got less than him, so maybe it'll help balance you out? Heh.

Well Jonny - you smoked me on that last quiz. No hard feelings though - yours is one of my absolutely favourite YT channels. Keep 'em coming!
I was proud of myself for getting Kai Ken right when you got it wrong, but I honestly can't tell you anything about it lol. I don't even know how I knew!
That was possibly your funniest post yet. You have great presence and presentation skills. And good editing too. Excellent sir, take a bow and have a treat.
OK, you can have 2!!!
Johnny, I have had a Very Hard year and your videos have helped me keep my sense of humor about life!! You are the next best thing to my Belgian Malinios!!
I, too, have a dog named Gracie, but she's a rat terrier mix that turned out to be coffee-table high and around 32 lb so who knows what the "mix" part was. I love your videos!!
"...and if you got more right than me, I will delete your comment" lmao
Actually, I recognised the mudi, but just because it's a Hungarian dog and I'm Hungarian (I'm sure that you are very surprised about this after you read my username). The puli and pumi are also Hungarians, all of these are sheperd dogs, the mudi is the biggest, but the puli is the most famous and popular. And puli is not the same as the komondor. They look pretty similar (mostly their fur) except that a komondor is almost big enough to ride it as a horse (okay, this is might be false, I've never tried it, but it's a very big dog).
This was so funny! I couldn’t play along because I laughing too much! Love your eyes btw.

We had an Alaskan husky as a kid in Alaska named Sirius (after the star not Harry Potter). He was white and had shorter fur than a typical husky. RIP good boi partner in crime (stealing neighbor's raspberries). Also he was ultra hyper and definitely a working dog, we did not give him the jobs he so needed and deserved. 😔🐾❄️

Your random little omments 🤣 "my back hurts, all the time!" Mine too bro!!
Jonny just wanted to say thanks. I very much appreciate your entertaining imagination. You are awesome.

Just simply, a really cool, really funny dude. I could hang out around a fire or table with him and probably laugh until my stomach hurts too
One of the very best youtube channels. Honestly, you need your own television series.
I loooooooved this so much! I can't wait for more long-form videos from you.
Quiz-wise, got 100 percent on the easy quizes....the harder quiz, I only got 3 right that you got wrong (Thanks to my binge watching of Dogs 101 on rare breeds).
I don't know if this is bad for me or for you, Jonny, but our senses of humor are nearly identical; as well as the way we attack quizzes 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love your videos! Keep ‘em coming!❤️
If you're ever stuck for an idea, how about a vid on heroic//famous dogs. Like Balto, or other dogs who have saved lives. There's also the dogs that have travelled hundreds of miles to reunite with their humans. Then there's the dogs who wait at graves, or hang out at the railway station all day to greet their human.
I know it's early to suggest things, but I bet if you ever ask for suggestions I wouldn't remember this, so I thought I'd get it down before I forgot!
PS Actually the story of Balto and Toho, or the Iditarod itself would both be really interesting.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you'll do in the future. You've got a good screen presence as well as a gift for comedy as well as a very engaging love for dogs.
Black Russian is a GREAT name for a mixed drink. And I like your idea for a different drink named for each breed. I'm trying to figure out which breed would be the equivalent of a Shirley Temple, however.
But I think if you had just picked the most obscure breed name for that last quiz you would have come out fine.
Is that because there is already a drink called a White Russian? 😂
@@danielleking262 There actually is also already a drink called a Black Russian. It's a White Russian without the cream.
I can see a Shirley Temple drink being a Golden Retriever: very sweet and kid-friendly...or in the case of drinks, liver-friendly. 😅
You are right, we have this cocktail in Russia. It’s made of cold vodka and strong tea with lemon
We BOTH got the klee kai wrong, but to be fair, you need to see the size against something to tell the difference....
I did get the Mudi. The curly coat gives it away. Most of the Hungarian breeds have curly coats, and I'm a sucker for all of them: Puli, Pumi, Mudi, Komondor...
Got the Kai Ken. The coat color gives that one away.
4:49 that's not even a breed
Missed the Catahoula because I couldn't make out the coat type.
GOT the Kooikerhondje because Dutch breeds are cool too
Missed the Lapphund because I wasn't thinking straight lol
I just love your humor, thanks
I just love his humor and knowledge. Good boy !
These are so much fun. You look tired in this one or dehydrated. If you ever want to confuse yourself over dog breeds try telling all of the coon hounds apart at a glance. Hint: the difference is mostly the coat colors with Plott's being the brindles (but they also come in pure black). Heck, I'd enjoy watching you take on canine doppelgangers.
Canine doppelgangers would be hilarious!
I knew quite many as I have been doing research on dog breeds for the last six months. I'm not planning on getting another dog for at least a year, but you can never be too prepared 😁 though I have only read about the breeds registered in Finland so there were a few I hadn't heard about.
Also I am personally offended there were no option for Finnish lapphund in the Swedish lapphund question. Would have been funny 😂
You are awesome to watch your impersonations of the breeds
I got tickled at the way he pronounced papillon 🤣
Alaskan Huskies usually are a mix of Siberian Husky, racing dogs (like Greyhounds) and hunting dogs. They are not bred for shows, so their looks vary a lot, but they are usually taller than a Siberian, long legged and their coat is less thick.
When I saw the Mudi, I was like: yay, mudi! Then: oh he's never going to guess that. Fun little doggos, my mom just got one half a year ago.
This is so Entertaining, I regularly come back to watch this. Your energy in this vid is just too chaotic and good. The jokes are on point. I love it! Even more than the sketches :)
You can tell when somebody really loves dogs. These impressions are spot on (get it? spot on?) and so frickn hilarious. Thx for making me laugh out loud. 😊
I only knew about two of the six native Japanese breeds and had to go look up the other four (the Tosa Inu isn't native, but has many Euro breed contributions). Also, there's so many Euro-Continental breeds that never get seen in North America, it's easy to miss on those.
Don't feel bad about the Klee Kai - I don't think that was a representative photo.
Exactly. I know huskies and Klee kais and it was definitely a sort of trick question without some sort of reference in the photo.
I said "puppy" for every one, so I got 100%..... I change the rules so I always win.
You should do the dog cocktails - and drink them too. It's the content we're all waiting for.
I like this guys personality
My dog's name is Gracie too! Her head kept popping up every time you said her name 🤣 New viewer here, thanks for the laughs in your dog vs. robber series ☺️
I am from England, where the Yorkshire terriers come from, and I must correct you. It’s actually pronounced York-sher, not York-shyer. It’s the same with Devonshire (where I’m from, although that is usually just called Devon), Wiltshire, Lancashire, Herefordshire (like the breed of cattle), Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Shropshire, etc.
Dude! You are so a really good vid producer! Thanks for the laughs!

I'm still learning all of the breeds, this was fun! As a groomer I should know all of these but most on that hard list aren't common in my area. Definitely gotta read up.
I love how he treated Gracie the same way dogs will treat their humans sometimes! 😂 "Gracie, did you see that? Gracie, pay attention to me! Gracie! GRACIE!"
Also, I instantly recognized the Mudi, which is an awesome Hungarian dog breed.
That was easy for me as well, since I'm Hungarian and a couple mudis go to my agility trainer. It is a really cool dog breed. :)
