The husky summoning the equivalent of a fog horn is just too good. The doberman is also very good, especially how you can tell your eyes were sizing him up.

@@rexrockefella4586 I'm planning on raising dobies on my farm for personal protection for my family members. They are singular in attachment usually and very attentive to their owners (staring is them studying you). I'll have a pack of central asian shepherds as livestock guardians too. Since you can't usually take alabais in public, so dobies it is.

You sure got the Golden Retriever right. The local news showed security footage where someone broke into a house, petted the Golden, took whatever they wanted and gave the dog a biscuit before they left. The owner was not amused.

I had a german shepard, he was always so nice and never fought. I've had dogs all my life and love dogs and was never attacked by a dog. One day that changed. I was outside with my dog, throwing his favorite ball just playing fetch, and a random rottweiler saw us and charged at me. My german who was never in his life in a fight jumped on the rottweiler in under a second and had him pinned to the ground on his side and was about to bite his neck. I yelled no, and he immediatelly stopped, got of the rottweiler, picked up his ball and came to sit next to me keeping his eyes on the rottweiler the whole time. The rottweiler got up slowly and walked away, and my german just dropped the ball at my feet to continue playing like nothing had happened at all. He was never trained, other than what i taught him, this was all just instinct to him. Amazing breed and completely accurate portrayal :)

I got up to see a burglar basically jump off our balcony in panic. Another time my mum had taken her down, and she started to growl softly, looking at the back of the garden. My mum, being the woman she is, simply unleashed the dog who BOLTED towards a tree. A man standing behind it climbed over the gate and ran off. The same dog was the gentlest creature to anyone and had infinite patience with children. I miss her.

Someone still managed to steal about $10k worth of bud, somehow. It was a very odd feeling calling the cops to help us find our weed. Anyway, a utility worker hopped the fence one night to fix a cable or something, apparently not seeing all the warning signs about our dogs, and he nearly crapped his pants. Our Rottweilers didn't really bark much, they just chased him down and cornered him. We heard him screaming for help. He didn't get hurt or anything, but those dogs are intimidating as hell, especially when they're silent like that.

My sweet 17 year old daughter passed away 10 months ago to the day. I find myself watching your videos, just as her and I did together, when we needed a good laugh. I am grateful to you for all your videos as I navigate my grief and world without her.
We had 2 Maltese Brady and Molly. Brady died this past June. Molly, while super adorable, and not a yappy small dog, is a princess who wont leave my side, I can’t even leave the room or she gets anxious. She will bark at any dog that might demand my attention, even if on TV. She goes in my purse on outings and prefers the convertible Lexus to my truck, commands attention from any passer by making eye contact with them and looking sad if they ignore her. She thinks she’s brilliant but wont notice 5 rabbits in the yard until it’s too late and still can’t figure out how to play fetch. To sum it up she a a dumb blonde but super sweet and adorable.

The German Shepherd one is so accurate. I’ve got one and while she’s pretty gentle, she will eat you if you mess with her family. (She actually stopped trying to play with the next door neighbor’s boxers after they killed one of our cats. She just growls at them now.)
Edit: so a month after this happened, we took in two 2 week old kittens. My dog loved them so much and watched them every second of the day (until they got a lot bigger). The first time she was allowed to interact with them she was super gentle and friendly and treated them like her own puppies. Moral of the story is that German Shepherds are 1. The perfect dog breed. And 2. A cat’s best friend.

They're quiet until you step on their property. If they have to get up, you should run. I've had more than 1 experience where my babies protected me and the house. My god speaking of samoyed, my great-grandma who lives in Shenzhen (somewhere in china) had like 7-8 of them as puppies including the mum and dad. It was 2011 and I was 8. My family and I stayed overnight at my great-grandma’s house as it was Chinese New Year or smt. During midnight my sister and I slept in the same room and we got woken up by the barking of dogs. It lasted for a while but we ignored it as we thought meh, probably a squirrel or smt. The next day when we got up all of the Samoyeds were gone. Literally all of them. My great-grandma cried and I’ve never ever seen her crying like this before. So we checked the CCTV two men broke into the yard and gave the dogs something to eat, probably rat poison. they then took them away and put them in some black plastic bags. The police then assumed (worst scenario) that those two men stole the dogs and sell them for meat and confirmed that the men gave something similar to rat poisons to the dogs. I was in shocked until now as there was no laws for protecting these poor animals. Not sure but I hope there is laws to ensure the rights for animals to be treated nicely 😢 I want to raise awareness that people are still illegally eating animals, and especially for those who steals people’s beloved for money

When ever we visited she would just come up to us to assess us and then be like "ok your fine... not a threat". But having said that she didn't let us pet her much. Just come up and sniff you and give that famous 'look' of "you better not do anything or else I'll have to kick you out". You really don't know where you stand with a Doberman that are not yours. Brilliant guard dogs yet loving protective family dogs too. Their Brilliant at assessing whether something is a threat or not. Anyway, this same dog unfortunately died protecting her family from a deadly poisonous snake which had come into the house one day. The dog knew it was a threat and attacked it. Unfortunately getting bitten a few times by the snake. Nothing could be done. By the time the family got to the vets it was too late. The Chihuahua scene had me CRYING laughing! 🤣 My family had a Chihuahua growing up and she was straight up EVIL!!! She only liked my brother and would try to bite everyone else she could. My mother tried to rehome her several times but of course no one would take a dog exuding pure hatred toward everyone it saw (except my brother of course). Dang thing lived 14 years and I swear it was sheer spite pumping through her veins that kept her alive so long.

Yeah, Labs are big doofs until they decide there's a reason not to be. My childhood neighbors had a Lab mix, and she was an actual head-empty angel puppy unless you were wearing polyester or threatening her humans. The polyester part we figured out early (probably some pre-rescue trauma involving someone in a cheap uniform), but she didn't share the second part of herself until she was about 15 and a big GSD went after us on a walk. She slipped out of her collar and leash and flung herself at the other dog like she'd been shot out of a cannon. She drove the GSD across the street and cornered her opponent on a porch before anyone could run outside to see what the roaring noises were about. Labs are doofs until they choose violence.

Sweetest family dog ever! Until she thought one of us was threatened. Than she was just a large black blurr with teeth. Her growl was the scariest thing ever!
Had a guy try to cut through our backyard while she was sunning on the deck and we were in the front yard. The guy went white as a ghost when she tore down the stairs after him!
He managed to flip himself over the gate JUST before she hit it full force. She’d routinely break boards when she’d do that.

*True Story* When I was 14 years old. My family used to have three dogs. A chihuahua/poodle mix, mastiff/lab mix and a pitbull. We happened to move back to Mexico. The neighborhood had many break ins and it caused many people to put fences with spikes.
A robber saw our home as his next target he jumped over the fence and thought the coast is clear. My chihuahua mix heard him and staring barking. He didn’t take her seriously but he didn’t know that she warned our other dogs. The mastiff mix came out he was a bit worried but thought he wasn’t that much of a threat. But the moment our pitbull came out he knew he was dead meat. He ran towards the fence. As he was climbing my pitbull and mastiff bit his ass tore off his jeans. The robber managed to escape but only with his underwear. This is what my neighbor told my mom since he saw what happened.

She saved me plenty times. Even my husband's dumb friend learned. My husband had friends over one day, I wasn't feeling well, so I was laying on the couch watching TV. Alexis knew I was sick and she eas glued to me. She was laid across my legs on the couch when my hubs friend walked up to me, smacked me on the knee, and yelled "WASSUUPP!" , it scared me cuz I was into the movie , so I hollered a little. Alexis flew off thst couch and latched onto his arm. He was freakin out, I was like well you idiot you are my PITBULL laying across me and decide to come slap me, she thought you were hurting me, I ain't fussing her for that, she did her job, you just stupid. He started greeting Alexis first when he came to the house so she could sense he wasn't a danger 😂 and now that she knew he was scared of her, she fcked with him 😂it was so funny.

When I was living in Florida, my cousin’s pit bull almost became my dog, too. After coming back to Florida after about half a year, I saw the dog again, and it initially saw me as an intruder. The lights where I stood were turned off.
It barked a bit and growled, even as I clapped my hands and instructed it to come to me… by name. It wasn’t until my cousin called me out by name and turned on the lights so it could see who I was.
That was when the dog smiled as widely as I saw any dog smile… it’s lower jaw almost touched the floor. It then sprinted right at me, and grabbed onto my arm (which I believe is how pit bulls play), and basically wanted me to take it home with me. Wouldn’t be surprised if it desperately clawed at the glass doors and whined as I left the house.
    I miss that dog.

Miss my old Marie dearly. She was a pitbull, died of a deadly sickness about 3 years ago... she was the most lovely dog i've ever had, never did anything to anyone who we - me and my family - presented to her. The day a few drunkards from the neighborhood tried to act funny and enter my house without permission for some reason, Marie went after them and almost bit off the meat from the bone of one's leg. Guy got hospitalized and thankfully managed to keep his leg. No one else dared enter my home without proper presentation ever again.
I felt kinda sorry for the drunkard at the time, but well... there was a "Beware of the Dog" sign on the front gate...

My cousin owns a cabin in a north American forest. We had a black labrador retriever named jasper. When I was about 8 I encountered a black bear while walking across the driveway. I stopped and said "hey bear" the bear looked at me and then went back to its business. I intended to wait for it to leave. Jasper had other plans. He jumped from the top of the stairs and slammed through the sliding glass door. The bear damn near shit himself and ran for the hills. Jasper was uninjured except for a bruised shoulder from the door. I was frozen in fear. the bear moved to Guatemala for all I know.

One time a friend came from out of town to go to another friend's wedding. I got home from the wedding 1st & went to bed. Suddenly my dog started barking his head off, and stood right in the front hallway. I was pretty sure it was my friend (I had given her the key), and I grabbed his collar & started trying to soothe him. As the doorknob turned, I felt him straining against me, still barking his head off, until he saw it was my friend, and she also started talking to him. If it hadn't been her, I don't know what he would've done, but he was NOT playing. He slept outside the guest bedroom the entire night.

By all accounts he was quiet, gentle, and noble, and he'd let my grandpa Art ride his back. One day, great grandpa Leo was alone in the house late at night when he heard something like a lock-pick on the back door, and a slight creak. Rocky, who had been laying by his feet, let out a deep, soft growl, gently stood up, and walked to the other room. From what the family story tells, all great-grandpa Leo heard was a pause, a startled shout, the sound of skittering paws, and the slam of a door. Rocky came back about a minute later with a bloody piece of pants in his mouth, and sat down right back at Leo's feet XD

When I was a baby, my parents had a Rottweiler, she was always by my pram and watched over me. She was so sweet but had one tiny little quirk. When no one was at home she was always outside in the garden where she had space to run, chill and shelter as well. She always left people on our property but she would no one leave, once they were in. Everyone in the village knew, but one day out postman retired and the new one didforget that he was told to leave the mail in the box at the fence instead of throwing it in the postbox by the door. Guess who was still sitting on our frontsteps when my dad came home from work? She never bit anyone, she just stood between them and the exit and growled.

@@DanielCosta-zp6jl As someone who owns a German Shepherd, I recommend getting this breed only if you have the time to train and socialize it with other people and animals. They are very energetic dogs and they always need to be distracted with some toy or exercise, if you don't give them that, they will become destructive dogs. And if they are not educated from an early age to obey their owners, they will become stubborn dogs that only obey when they want to.

How will the dog know the difference between a real intruder vs. EMTs, delivery people, plumbers, children who go up to the wrong house etc?
Home protection dogs are a dangerous proposition for most people; you are expecting a mere animal to do human-level thinking.
GSDs can be lovely or they can be completely atrocious. It all depends on the bloodlines. Find a good breeder, meet at least one of the parents, make sure they are mentally stable and confident.
Then teach your dog to be okay with anyone who comes in the door. Trust me, the robbers won’t know.

My wife had a German Shep named boo and was protective of her and her brother when they were in the front yard. Any stranger and he would get big and intimidating. But once they went to the person and showed they were OK he'd chill out. He would also herd them closer to the house if they got to far. He also chewed rocks.

We had a pit bull when I was little. Not just a pit bull, we had a pit bull with some kind of hormone condition that made him double the size of a normal pit bull. The vet says it happens sometimes. He was *huge* for a pit bull, right around the height of a lab. He was also...the worst guard dog EVER. *_He_* was stolen like 8 times. Robbers would case our place, see that we didn't have anything worth steeling then take him. He'd be like, 'oh boy walkies!' He'd always come back after a day or so.
    **EDIT**
Gunter was taken from our yard. He...he was a sweet dog but intelligent he was _not._ He just didn't take to house training which wasn't *so* bad when he was a puppy but after he started getting big and my dad had to clean up horsepiles every day the decision was made for him to be an outdoor dog.

He'd snap normal dog chains with a casual toss of his head. A few times he came home with a thin rope still around his neck. He probably didn't even notice that when it broke.

As someone who's dad has a Chihuahua for 8 years, it's super accurate. It's even worse when they have a bigger dog as their companion because if something hurts that Chihuahua, the bigger one will go for blood. Also it doesn't help that they are good at going after weak points.
