Drop The Bass: Urban feat Optical & 1991 @ Opera (Official Aftermovie)

For this event, we invited two special guests from England, the legend of drum & bass - Optical and the rising star - 1991, which will perform in Russia for the first time!
Optical is a veteran of the D & B scene, a vivid representative of the old school of neurofunk and techstep sounding, one of the main musicians behind the genre, together with Ed Rush in 1998, they receive powerful support from Goldie, Grooverider, Trace and many other heavyweights of drum & bass music . Already at that time he releases solo releases on Moving Shadow and Metalheadz, and then bases with Ed Rush one of the world's first and most influential neurofunk labels - Virus Recordings. Matthew is also the brother of one of the equally famous drum'n'bass musicians - Matrix. At different times managed to release a huge amount of material already under ten different pseudonyms!
1991 - a musician, rapidly gaining popularity, is an example for imitation of the younger generation, in many respects thanks to the giants of the Chase & Status scene who signed him to his MTA record label. With only a few releases in his arsenal, the guy successfully broke into the dnb scene in 2016, several successful remixes, his tracks can be found on the collections of Ram Records and Drum & Bass Arena, as well as on the label Viper (under the pseudonym Concept). Having received support from such names as Chase & Status, Dimension, Friction, Sub Focus, Culture Shock, High Contrast, Metrik and many others, 1991 is already performing all over England and beyond, with many secretly predicting his fame and comparing him to Sub Focus! In 2017, signed on the Owsla label, owned by Skrillex, and also won the second place in the nomination 'Best breakthrough producer' for drum & bass awards!
The music of the streets and movements, born in the stone jungle from a mixture of hip-hop, funk and jungle, will once again come down swiftly to the northern capital. This time the Drop The Bass team will create for you a whole city of 4 levels and multi-genre dance floors on the basis of Opera space!
