  • Stacking Cisco Catalyst 9300L-48PoE+ with StackWise 480
    The Catalyst 9300 Series is designed for Cisco StackWise technology, providing flexible deployment with support for nonstop forwarding with Stateful Switchover (NSF/SSO), for the most resilient architecture in a stackable (sub-50-ms) solution. The highly resilient and efficient power architecture features Cisco StackPower, which delivers high-density Cisco Universal Power over Ethernet (Cisco UPOE) and Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) ports. The switches are based on the Cisco Unified Access Data Plane 2.0 (UADP) 2.0 architecture which allows a larger scale and higher throughput.

    Stacking switches was something never mentioned in Cisco Classes so this is awesome!

    Are the stack members auto configured once connected? Are the switches auto defined which one is active and which one is standby/members? Do we need to manually configure that once we connect stacking cables and power on them all?

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  5 месяцев назад

      Yes the switch will auto config once the stacking cables are connected, u can also manually change the stacking member order and priority in the CLI

    Please help to let me know to change the switch priority in Cisco 9300L stacking configuration.

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  2 года назад +1

      @P2 Prana, Use the "switch stack-member-number priority new-priority-number" EXEC command to set one stack member with a higher member priority value. e.g:
      Switch#switch 1 priority 15
      Restart all stack members at the same time.

    Is it possible to stack Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches with Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series Switches? I am wondering if these two series of switches are compatible with each other and if it is possible to stack them together to increase the number of available ports.

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi fam, unfortunately you can’t stack them together. The L models are slightly different from the non L models, so you can only stack the same models.

    Why do you stack port 1 to port 2 on bottom switch?

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  Год назад

      Cisco designed it that way fam

    Is there any configurations necessary after ?

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  4 месяца назад +1

      No you don’t need to configure anything, the switch will do that automatically however if you want to change with switch is the priority then you can manually configure the stacking

    what kind of cables are you using to connect the switches? thanks

    • @ktslabs
      @ktslabs  5 месяцев назад

      Those are StackWise cables, unique to switch models which is ordered from Cisco
