      CCNA has changed drastically since I got it in 1999. On the flip side the hardware you need for a lab has gotten dirt cheap.

    Galing mo po. I missed working on a Technical works like these, in my previous job i'm doing everything. From Systems admin, some Network firewalls, HSM and managing legacy Servers and systems and racking new appliances like these! Missed those days!

    Whenever I had to mount a larger device or something a little unwieldy we used to make a ty-wrap sling to bear some weight. One hand on the device, the other to tighten the sling and lift it to the desired rack position. Done that with Cisco switches and routers, Sun servers and other devices.

      @@EastCharmer Make sure they are Thomas & Betts Ty-Wraps, they are made out of stronger nylon and have metal locking tabs for increased strength, cheapo zip ties will not do the trick.

    To easily rack the switch in an empty rack like this. Use a shelf mounted upside down in the slot below it. Then you can just slide switch in. Much easier than a 2nd person holding it.

    If I can also add cleaning those fiber patch cables and the LIU connectors with a one click fiber cleaner.

    I would like to know if it's possible to make an RJ45 to wall Jack cable and I mean the RJ45 end will be plugged directly to the cisco switch and the other end(wall jack) will be used by Users, if this will work without a patch panel. Thank you in advance

      Hello there!! Thank you so much for your amazing feedback. Are you currently studying computer related courses? The things you need to focus on with networking are the OSI model, network devices and configuring them, topologies, and different IP address type. If you're not studying now, you might wanna check out Network+ cert. It provides you with the fundamental knowledge to learn

    by right if the level is lower, we can do it alone but, in this video, its patched at the top, need assistance by default..good video, keep it up.

      Yes you're right! I'm short so I can't reach it and the switch is also a little heavy for me to lift with just one hand. I'd rather have someone assist me than messing up the device and everything next to it

    What's patching panel. I've never heard of or seen it before. Even though I'm a 4th year networks engineer lol

      @abdulrahmanhomus595 oh really lol do you do hands-on work like racking ? it's pretty common in network setups. I was talking about a fiber patch panel that terminates the fiber cables to give access to fiber connection through the jacks

      What is your background? Do you have background in computer fundamentals? I think the entry level for data center job is a data center technician. The technical skills you need to learn are cabling , hardware, networking, installation

      @@san.ch1-ft7fe I have the A+ cert(expired now) and AWS Cloud Practitioner. I finished the CCNA training but didn't take the exam.
      A tip I would give if you wanna be certified is go for the vendor certificates because they are industry recognized like CompTIA, CISCO, Linux, AWS, VMWare etc. Those are also the certifications that companies are requiring compared to the training you get from Coursera , Udemy.
      Also if you are starting in IT, go for the fundamentals first like CompTIA A+, Network+ , Security+. They will provide you with all of the foundations and will also cover the basics of the different areas like Network, Security, Virtualization, Hardware, Software and more.
