@@Kpsm_golf as I said, not going to be something I carry. And better USA options on the folder area. It is interesting though and I know some people will get it to have something this crazy that does push the envelope of design??
Super cool design. I’ve considered adding a push dagger to the rotation but haven’t picked one up yet. But for the cost a Cold Steel push dagger is way cheaper and probably the route I would take. Kudos to the guys who came up with this design. It is truly unique and reminds me of CRKT’s folding karambit.
Looks cool but not for me. I'm probably a purist when it comes to my fixed blade carry. It should not have failure points + quickly deployable. For this money, I'll carry my Tops CUT 4.0 or Street Scalpel 2 + leatherman skeletool CX + Victorinox Rambler (probably for 30-40$ less). Thanks for the video as always!
Outstanding review as always Aaron 👍👍 Not really something I would use BUT it looks just freakin cool as all get out. Hope people buy it so they keep making new stuff like this LOL😄
Fruit beware! It would be cool if it was engineered to completely close as well and lock In position when in its regular edc form very cool though gotta get those Chinese made WE knives before WW3 😂
G'day Aaron, interesting alright. If you take it that far though, I reckon fully locking in both positions is the go. When it comes to knife fighting, reverse grip, preferably on a fixed blade, is better IMO, yes you may loose some reach, but you retain both fists to punch, you can slash offensively or defensively from a different, perhaps unexpected, angle/arc and you can still hammer stab should you need to. Those knives with built in knuckle dusters are the best of both worlds IMO and in reverse grip the blade is pointing away from your other arm/hand, but hey, each to their own, just hope I never have to test the theory for real. Cheers Duke.
Thanks Aaron for the review. Certainly an interesting blade! That price????? Maybe if you are a collector of blades. Push daggers are very easy to conceal and hard to knock out of your hand.
440A. I have two rough riders. I bought both from Smoky mountain knife works without handling either. The first was ho-hum in the second was a lot worse. Of the 30 plus reviews, most were favorable.
They just released the Civivi version in g10 for $60, so now we can all afford this cool little gadget. I won’t debate the usefulness, etc., it’s just an interesting and fun knife. At $300 it’s a pass for me, but I grabbed the blacked out version for $60 (with a nice leather sheath!)
@@jhall_414 it’s cool, very smooth action, great blade shape and cuts well. Nice fit and finish for the price, as per Civivi’s usual. First thing I did was make a leather sheath that can hold it both ways - push or ‘fixed’ blade - and sits in the pocket with an ulticlip. Now we’re talkin’!
Interesting..@ $300 … not that interested. Yes, I understand it 20CV & Titanium. It is innovated. Hope they or someone will offer something like this with a more mainline price. 154CM and an Aluminum, Steel or G10 handle would be satisfactory to me. Thanks for sharing!
Should’ve had a push button to switch positions. Can’t say it’s a “FIXED BLADE” when the blades not fixed at ALL…Looks nice but Civivi needs to make a variant with the push button.
Ya, we sells other folders for around that price, so someone is paying for those materials. I think is more about the eclectic nature of the design than the actual practical do they use.
Aaron mentioned the manufacturer. It is WE knives. I know where to buy this. And something deep inside tells me that Google does, too. Aaron is a great guy and does great videos.
I had a Benchmade T-rod harley davidson push dagger. It was a perfect knife. I gave it to my girlfriends father for Christmas. He was a biker and I was dating his daughter. I wish the still made them. I'm not a fan of knives from China...thanks
There’s another option out there. Check out the Forever Steel Alkaid. It will also transform from a folding knife into a push dagger. But this one does it one better than the Typhoeus. You can close it fully and put it in your pocket. It is also twice the price of the WE. Kudos to WE for taking chances. I like it. But there’s other knives I’d rather have at that price point.
The We is better imo. The way the We is designed it is a lot safer, I've seen the lock on the Alkaid fail from from a light spine whack and it could literally remove a finger.
@elgatofelix8917 the one with no lock is designed in a way that it's literally impossible to close on you while in use The one with the lock is actually much more dangerous
I wasalways tell to ask how call that I was have one long time ago and even on my language don't know how to call always must explain to people it's knife but transform it's not push dager it's two knife in one and don't have name!
Very unique and interesting design choice from WE knifes. $300? Uhm, okay. I can see here some practical usage. I use a pure fix blade because (push) daggers are forbidden (declaration as a weapon) here in germany.
So basically a super premium gas station special.
Hahah

I had a lock back like this design back in the late 90's it's a new interpretation of an old design!
