- Today, we'll take a look inside a knife that's pretty much fine, the Eikonic Knives Fairwind, and give a few thoughts in lieu of a full review.

Nick, I love this format. It’s a good combo having a mini review with a disassembly in cases where a full review isn’t warranted. Please do more!
percentage of spoken word to knife value is about right. always great info
A+ for honesty... and entertainment value.
I like this format Nick!
$75 bucks? They’re competing with knives like the Civivi Vision FG and the Vosteed Nightshade which have better steel and much more exciting designs.
Nice review (as always). Thank you
Yep, I did, I found that review iconic
It's a good format for those knives that don't really need too many words
I like Sam and his his designs a lot. I fell in with HEA with the Elixir and I own an Anchor too, but this one is a miss. Where is the quirky, HEA-ness of it? If there was a budget version of the Venom or Elixir, I'd be all in.
Yes, it's okay.
The format is fine for knives that don't exicte you.
The stultification of affordable, overall goodness. Maybe the end is near, after all.
Glad I’m not the only one who is a bit over the tsunami of OK knives coming from China. It feels wrong to condemn good manufacturing but so much just decent stuff coming out makes it hard to find and appreciate the quality.
There are way too many better knives at this price point to justify selecting this one. And there are way too many similar knives costing much less as well. Hard pass.
Love your sarcasm. But i'm waiting for the military 2 review for weeks now. Not that i wanna buy it, i just want to watch the review.
🤜🔪🤛
This knife or a Delica?
The delica. Wharncliffe delica in k390 is in sale for $90 atm
Yet another reason to avoid this “brand”
feels like Eikonic will be HEA's budget brand...
I like the look of some Eyekhonik knives but they are all too small for my XXL hands and they all seem a little overpriced.
I've had civivis with a pivot like that. It's really annoying and completely unnecessary
When are you going to do the Spyderco Military 2 review? You ALWAYS do disassembly and review one day apart. I know you said you wanted to carry it for a while but it has been a month.
I’m not the Nick but it’s functionally the same as a pm2 so basically if you have bigger hands or just really like 4 in blades it’s great …. I’m really looking forward to aftermarket scales ( not huge on spydercos g10 milling since they don’t chamfer the corners )
Do you like the PM2? Do you wish it was bigger? Then get a Military 2. Done 🤣
@@NickShabazz much more succinctly put than I

I don't have any Spydercos. I was considering the Military 2 to be my first. So..not the best reply on your part.

I wonder why he bothered with a disassembly video then.
Nick you you please say the phrase “why I outta” in one of your videos it would make me very happy
I second this
I didn’t hear a knife snob
That pivot screw is absolutely dumb, civivi has done the same exact thing on some of their knives like the Imperium, thankfully they don’t usually do it that way cause it does make the whole process super annoying
Id have never guessed this was one of his designs. He makes some interesting things, but this isnt that. _That_ seems like Eikoniks schtick more than anything.
I always just assumed it was an overpriced "budget" version of the Serge Panchenko EDC, since it looks so similar.
Yet another bog standard folding pocket knife of the 2023 variety. 😂
Basically if you like the designer and want to pay him a nice cut as support and in return you'll get a 30 to 40 Chinese knife. To many hands in the pot.
Consider adding a comment in your reviews about why you are reviewing the knife under review. If it were me, I'd have scraped the disassembled knife into the trash can.
Wow. Seems as if you’re “stretching” quite a bit to make a much below average effort seem as if it’s average. FWIW, I’m disappointed. The term “polishing a turd” comes to mind.
You're not necessarily wrong, but I see him more as "picking a turd up by the clean end"
the design looks super generic & boring and the price is too high for what it is.
thanks, i'll skip.
I certainly am not in love with it but that blade shape & overall design is very nice.
