Hey Mate, I’m not an accountant so don’t want to give any financial advice. I would suggest to check out your state and federal laws and work from there. What I do know, is you can use these methods of finding cars, reading a market etc whether you’re required to pay tax on them or not. The principles stay the same.
Most of the cars I sell are projects so by default they aren’t registered man. If they’re rego and 100% rwc then sure thing. But they’re mostly low and loud so I don’t like selling with RWC and buyers who are into these cars generally know the drill
These days cars of this calibre in manual are hard to sell!!! Had a mate with an immaculate Mazda 3 and took 6 months to sell just because it was manual. No one wants a manual for a run around and alot of younger people only have auto licenses. Have always wanted to get into this but the thought of repairs, rego and insurance costs etc while waiting to sell scares me!!!

Cool video, I don’t mind car flippers if you sell a solid car with zero issues or with 100% of the issues revealed if there are any, but the guys that do quick fixes or stuff like a car with radiator stop-leak or some temporary head gasket filler used, just to sell the car and then leave the new owner stuck up shit creek in a months time, that’s what really annoys me. And I’m not saying that’s you, you seem like a genuine guy, especially doing these videos. But there are too many guys out there who are more than happy to rip you off. That’s just what immediately comes to mind about car flippers. Like the Mitsubishi with the mission trouble, if you get it fixed properly and everything looked at, then tell the new buyer that it had an issue and it was fixed and this specific shop etc, then that’s an honest sale.
There are definitely grubs out there mate. People who are dishonest and only care about to make a buck. A lot of people give flippers (and car salesman in general) a bad wrap as they do anything to make a sale. The way I live and the way I want to teach people to do it is to be ethical and honest. Life is too short and the world is too small. You only have one name so it’s important to take care of it. I just checked guntree to look at those cars we looked at in this video. Both the fiesta and the Mitsubishi are sold. I wonder if we will see them pop up for sale!
