I'm loving the mk5. It was a great titan bomber that I turned into a combat ship and is now an exploration ship. It's very capable and so agile and fast. Although I'm still not sure about my prefer combat configuration. I will need to explore that more when I get back to the bubble. Super fun ship though.
Awesome vid! Also have a few questions if it's not too much 😅. I'm relatively new, played a few years back when sol was attacked by that one group and mostly did sightseeing/ shuttle runs for refugees. Just got back on and got the standard cobra as a gift so I'm hype to try some bounty hunting. Where would be a good station for outfiting? Also what weapons do you reccomend for beginners? I have no engineering or anything (no idea how that works yet lol)
I believe I started at I Sola Prospect in Bresla because it has all the modules in the game available there. Only problem is they're marked up 20% vs Jameson Memorial which has a discount on everything. Definitely recommend working toward the Shinrarta Dezhra permit asap. As far as beginner weapons, anything gimballed is your friend unless you have goo reflexes and control of your ship to follow the lead reticle. All engineering requires you to unlock the individual engineers, but there are several guides available for that, as well as myriad RUclips videos going over the process. Courier missions are an easy way to grind your initial credits, and then exobiology has extremely high payouts for the effort required. I have three entire playlists showing exobiology if you want to know about it, and as always there are abundant tutorials out there for it. Check out the "Road to Riches" and "Billionaire's Boulevard" for making quick cash with exobiology. Once you have plenty of cash, buying weapons and grinding mats for engineering becomes substantially quicker and easier.
@ Thanks for all the advice! On this new run i did start with exobiology and it was pretty darn lucrative. Also cool to have a few first footfalls under my CMDR's belt 😎. Imma take a look at your other vids and you got a new sub outta me 🫡🫡. Time to learn about the finer details

Agreed!
I liked it a lot too. Great video!
Thanks!
More pips just charge the capacitor faster, but you generate more heat with a more discharged weapon capacitor, so, yeah.
It does help with thrusters and shields though, it can absorb more than 2x damage from 0 pips to 4, iirc.
Thanks!

not sure if it helps with your weapons but I always use sub systems to target .... it helps a bit...
You mean targeting sub systems?
