    1. Instead of asking "Tell me about yourself.. your background", change it to "What if" questions
    2. Active unlearning. Always challenge your mindset, find out new possibilities, link with new information. As quoted by Mahatma Gandhi "I must reduce myself to zero"
    3. Prioritizing exploration over exploitation.. To never fall too far in love with your wins, but rather continue to proactively seek out what might kill you next.
We are entering a future where IQ and EQ both matter way less than how fast you are able to adapt.

My simple rule of thumb after years of experience, is don't waste time on dickheads who do not subscribe to my thinking. And if by any chance they have something better to offer, I will adapt that into my thinking, but will flat out reject the rubbish that is anything else that I know is bullshit. Humanity has two simple goals to achieve in my view. 1. Reach true Civilization status which requires everyone united working towards goal number 2, and no longer killing and fighting each other 2. Work together on reaching class 1 Civilization status and effectively managing our resources towards a third goal, which revolves around the survival of the species from environmental dangers that threaten our existence on the planet

I randomely ran into this and found it interesting. i always naturally preferred the "what if" questions for interviews because I want to understand if people are smart indeed, regardless of the job type. I ran thousand of interviews. I never thought of it as "adaptability", rather, as how someone thinks - iq tests actually also _do_ test this, but you aint asking someone at an interview to take an iq test.
similarly, i find that "unlearning" is great, but never called it that. I just think of it as actively challenging assumptions. Someone says something crazy you immediately want to discard? look into it. either it'll confirm they're crazy, or maybe you'll find you were wrong on something. If you don't do that, you'll _never_ change your mind and thus won't learn very quickly. this means you gotta be ok with being wrong (most people _arent_).
the last point is less interesting imo, because while it's not completely wrong, switching what you do all the time means you'll never be a specialist. its good for some things, but highly specialized people are rare and very valuable IMO.

Gandi's quote "I must reduce myself to zero. So long as man does not of is own free will put himself last among his fellow creatures, there is no salvation for him" was heavily saying no to materialism/consumerism. I think it's strangely ironic this quote is being used for business investing :P

I think this is how real business _should_ work. Economics should be a positive sum game: where through cooperation, everyone is better off, yes, even venture capitalists! The venture capitalists don't seem to get this idea though. Maybe its just that they can't see any point in investment without risk. livelogic.blogspot.com/2019/08/natalie-fratto-on-adaptability.html

Thanks for Natalie Fratto inspiring sharing on ways on measurements and improvement on adaptability! Personally thinking, these 3 ways (Changing from "Tell me about yourself.. " to "What if" questions; Active unlearning; Prioritizing exploration overexploitation) are important for us to not only improve how well we react to an ability of change, but also to help us make a good and friendly relationship to the world, as well as to others equally. These are something I need to learn for life.

This is what happened to Fernando Alonso in 2007! He ran into a completely unexpected situation of being an in-form double world champion racing with a slightly faster or equally fast team mate favoured by the management...Had he kept calm, understood the situation & tried to adapt he would of won the championship that year with his experience. Because both Hamilton & Alonso are equally fast & skilled when given the fastest car but when the car is not that helping Hamilton becomes the spoiled kid (2009-13) while Alonso can give his best even when the car is 2nd or 3rd best (his best seasons were with Ferrari a lesser car he pushed to the limit)

Computer is necessary for human life like shopping, connecting with our friends, teaching something which we want to learn abilities to get more money and knowledges. Computer makes our environment change. So, the adaptability is important for us. I agree with her opinion.

Being thrown into a completely new job you're unfamiliar with while it has a potential to increase your networth, what would you do? Adaptability is about assessing your to a new situation whether using these quotients

Seriously. Removing duplicates or large, stale files? Desperately coping with early Windows' fragmentation issues? What she's talking about sounds like … well, overwriting old data with new (which is what she said), and that has nothing to do with a "disk clean up." Maybe "disk overwrite"? I guess she just "adapted" the term into something new.
