I think I'm always going to need that attendance sheet to see me honest! But I like the idea of using this stuff as a journal to look back on with find memories.
Thank you for your videos. Finding your channel helped me fight past feeling burned out. May I ask what homeschool calender/planner you utilize with the curriculum progress pages inside.
Thanks for your comment! It makes me happy I can help. The planner I used this year was the minimalist planner by Schoolnest. She has her own website where you can see everything and then you purchase via amazon. I just created a playlist of the videos I did with any planner info: ruclips.net/video/Knj_4GY3iGs/видео.html In the latest video, I show that I made our own off Canva because I couldn't find the exact thing I was looking for: ruclips.net/video/Knj_4GY3iGs/видео.htmlsi=1ii9_nS14Nt5xNJI But now I am reconsidering. I may change my mind as I take a break from videos this summer. I need something smaller and easy to travel with since we will be homeschooling with backpacks for a few weeks next year. I am looking into the Traveler's Company notebooks. I know that isn't what most homeschool moms are looking for in a planner but we will see what I end up with. The ones I created on Canvas were super cheap and I made every page the way we wanted them with no extra fluff we wouldn't use. I'm also binging on JetPens website. They have the coolest ever office supplies. I'm an office supply junkie. Thank you for watching and subscribing! I'll start new videos at the end of Summer.
I know in another video, you mentioned moving to a Sabbath schedule for next year. Last year we moved to one and it's been wonderful! We do a lighter load over the summer and then spread the 36 required weeks out over July to June. We do five weeks on and one week off. It's helpful to only have to plan five weeks at a time. During our off week we catch up on any uncompleted work and I spend a good chunk of time assessing where we are and scheduling out the next five weeks.
I wish I had mentioned the Sabbath schedule in this video. I think I meant not taking a break for the first quarter rather than semester. But then, why am I thinking that?! My head is still in a traditional school year I think! So for you, the week off is more of a really light week. That is interesting. I want to think about that. Thanks!
@@ThePattersonHomeschoolAcademy yes, I don't introduce or assign anything new. We also use that week to take a field trip, spend extra time with friends, or stuff like that.
I was planning on trying Seton Testing. The Happy Homeschooler did a video on testing and that influenced my decision. There are a couple other companies she mentions as well. Here is the link to her video: ruclips.net/video/1wxzH7ztm9s/видео.html
It did seem to me we were behind in the beginning because I didnt see any learning disability with Morgan but she couldn't add or subtract. Her mental math was nearly non-existent. So there was a bit of a period of catch up, of relieving any stress Morgan had over math. Once she gained confidence she leapt forward. But, I agree now, she is not behind if she is moving along no matter the level or the pace
Thank you for making this video! It’s so interesting to see how other people keep records.

May I ask what test/testing source you’re utilizing?
