Informative but the last bit I have to be honest was a bit cringe. Almost like a line we would have heard from a press conference. Really thanks for this video.
Oh yeah, I got a lot of feed back about that part, It was pretty mixed feedback though. Like some told me to remove it and some actually thought it be best to have it. So I just left it since I like to be cheesy at times lol Thanks for your feed back though! I'll try to make my future content less cringy.
As someone who is going to buy a Gundam Versus game for the first time your video is very informative well made. Even though I found the last bit to be cringe it didn't diminish what the rest of the video done. Just make it however you want I might not always comment but you gained a viewer.
Thanks a lot! But I do love hearing peoples feed backs, so feel free to speak your mind if you ever wish too. I actually do take everyone's feed back into consideration. But like you said, the last decision is mine to make. However I do want to be clear, even if I don't do it a certain way that people want me to approach it, doesn't mean I don't try to listen.
As someone whose first Gundam VS game will be this one, thank you! I feel much more informed/prepared for starting than I did earlier, keep up the good work!
No problem and you are welcome. I am always relieved to hear that this has helped many players out. I'll do my best in continuing to produce more content like this in hopes of helping more players understand the game better!
This intro is the best I have seen. It is thorough, clear and new comer friendly. I even consider it is much better than official bandai marketing video. Thanks
What's the song you used at the start btw? More specifically, what's the name of the song you used from Gundam Extreme Vs Maxi Boost ON that was from the character select screen?
Dam gets me more excited for this to be my first Gundam game not only for the Gundam vs series, but Gundam in general. Really glad I'm putting money in this instead of MVCI for now.
Thank you for explaining the Boost gear system. Couldn't find a single dam explanation for what they did before. 2:43 No kidding?! Always assumed that was just happened for high tier suits when their life points were low.
No problem bro! Glad to hear that the video is helping people out and I am planning to talk about the "Over Cost" more in depth in another video, since I just kind of skimmed through the mechanics in this video to keep the information from being too overwhelming to newer players that are just entering the game now.
I skimmed through a lot of the basics too, since I was afraid the information may just go pass a lot of new player's heads if I tried to cover every little thing while trying my best to keep it as short as I can. This game is as complex as any fighting game and I am already making another video going more in depth with some of the other mechanics that I didn't talk about within this video.
The Lupus is confirmed but Lupus Rex is not. 00 Gundam Seven Sword existed in the previous version from this series. But is not in for the current version's roster. However it appears that they are releasing DLC content of all the MS they have missed from the previous version of the VS series. So I assume this means that we will eventually see 00 Gundam Seven Sword make a return again.
Is there a mode like the dynasty gundam games like a story / campaign? Not really into this only the story /campaigns... if not has there been a game released for the PS4 that has that type of gameplay. Never liked the whole team thing with life points in any of the other games? Please help
I dunno, I'm actually not interested in Gundam games other than this specific one. Why not try and ask someone else that is a big Gundam Fan for that information. I have seen Gundam Battle Operation Next, but have never played it, maybe that might be more your thing.
Most informative video yet! Been meaning to get into the Versus community for awhile and I'm happy that I'll finally be able to! I have a question though: Do you believe it's worth importing the Japanese G-premium sound edition? And do you think the Japanese version will play on different servers compared to the western release?
I'm extremely pleased to hear that the video was informative for you! To answer your question, that is really all up to you, that is if you want to hop into the "Gundam Versus" scene early or wait for the "Western" release. Also from what I was told (This is not confirmed information so don't take this seriously) that the "G-Premium" is like an "All Season Pass" that gives you access to more then just "Lupus" as a "DLC" character. To answer your other question the game has a feature to play on "World Servers" allowing the game to be compatible with other regions. Keep in mind that each version may or may not contain region exclusive servers. Meaning if you own a "Japanese" version, everything might be "Japanese" only, until you decide to join the "World Servers." Another thing is that the other players also need to choose to play on the "World Servers" in order for you to play or even see them online. You might want to wait for the "Western" version encase none of the "English" player's public rooms will be held under the "World Servers" options. However there will be many "English" players that will be owning the "JP version" of this game, including myself as well, so you won't be alone jumping in early if you decide too. Another thing to add, the "Asia" version of this game has all the menus and text completely in "English." If you don't want to navigate through "Japanese" menus then you might want to consider the "Asia" version of the game instead. Hope that info helps you out!
Thank you so much for the helpful information! The G-Premium edition is definitely a must buy then, especially for the Op's/ED'S which are included from the Gundam series! Two more questions, if that's fine with you: 1: Do you have a link for the "Asia" version? (if it's even been announced yet that is haha) 2: And does the Asia region (not Japanese) usually sell the G-Premium sound editions? Bonus question: Since I just bought my PS4 yesterday with no games or Playstation plus yet I obviously don't have any particular use for it yet. However, would you mind sharing your handle name for when the game comes out so that we mayhaps could play sometime? Thank you once again! Have a nice day :)
From my own research, the "Asia" version doesn't appear to have a "Premium G Edition" and if you are still interested in picking up the "Asia" version or "Premium G Edition" the only store that comes to mind is "Play Asia" or "AmiAmi." Also my name on PSN is Tryflozn (For English) and Tryfiozn (For Japanese)
Cool, thanks for the info. My brother just got the game yesterday. I've played fighting games for decades. Also enjoyed the Gundam Dynasty Warriors games. Looking forward to seeing this game.
I wanted to buy this since I've seen the announcement and played the beta but I'm still stuck playing extreme versus since this one won't get any cheaper where I live. Also, why are the DLC's so expensive??
You can try it now for free if you like. The game currently has a "Trial" version going on for this whole month. But it requires you to download it off of the Japaneses PSN Store via a Japanese PSN account which takes about 5 minutes to create and it's free to do. It also is only playable when the servers are up, which are only on Thursdays and Saturdays during 9+UTC which should be 9:00pm Japan's time. The servers are only up for 1 hour each session though. However the game does not require PSN+ to use any of it's online functionality until the full release of the game on July 6th for Japan and Asia.
Well.... I dont a single question about the game lol. Amazingly detailed and well paced video. As a new player to gundam VS type games its a perfect intro video.
Last game I played like this was actually Federation Vs Zeon on the PS2. I loved the story mode and I loved battling against my friends. Im picking up a PS4 for this game and Final Fantasy 14 Stormblood. I definitely feel like it'll be worth the buy. Thanks for the info on this! It works like i imagined it to.
You are welcome and I am really relieved that the information was clear enough for you to understand. I hope you will end up enjoying the new game as much as I have so far!
Im a huge fan of Gundam in general so I know this will be my thing for sure. Im excited to see the full roster of gundams available so I can plan on mastering my favorites.
The roster can be viewed here: g-versus.ggame.jp/ms_stage/ms/ Keep in mind that this is just all the MS that come with the game at launch. This list does not include all the DLCs we are getting in the future. Barbatos Lupus is our 1st DLC character and there are many more coming.
Hard to say at this current time as the full game is still unreleased. Probably by July 6th I might be able to answer this question, as I believe not all the information about single player has been released yet.
cool, thanks for the reply! I sent this video to my friends that are interested but have no history with Gundam, it does a great job of explaining what is going on in the game.
Yo no worries! Also even though you don't have a history with Gundam, I'd say it still would be a great opportunity for you to dive into this game. As the battle system is pretty unique and definitely should be given a try before further judging. I'm even trying my best to get people that aren't into mecha to at least give the game a shot. As I really believe the game play is what truly sells the VS series and not actually the Gundams for this specific franchise, unlike other Gundam games.
It's only playable when the servers are up, which are only on Thursdays and Saturdays during 9+UTC which should be 9:00pm Japan's time. The servers are only up for 1 hour each session.
So im still confused. After scrolling through two EULAs the game just starts. No menu or anything. Not even a button guide. The battle just never ends because the same two enemies keep spawning. No menu to enter into or anything of that sort. Just....constant and repetitive fighting
I believe that means your game has yet to fully install on your system and you are playing a demo mock battle until the entire game has finished installing.
I'll see what I can do. I'll definitely be interested to do a video about Neutral, just not anytime soon since I need to go in depth with a few other mechanics 1st.
From what I was told by all the Normal PS4 users that I played with during the "Beta" and "Trial" they all said it runs at 60 FPS. The Pro on the other hand loads faster then the Normal PS4s. So if you were racing against all the other players to get back into the next shuffle match, the Pro would get you in there before any of the Normal PS4s could.
I wouldn't know, I don't own a normal PS4 only a Pro. But since this is a PvP game, there would not be a difference, since both games need to be the same in performance in order for the game to sync properly. For example, in a PvP game, one game can not run at 60fps while the other runs in 30fps. That would cause the game to de-sync. Both games need to run at the same performance for the game to sync properly since this is crucial for PvP type games. If the game happens to de-syncs, then there would be unfairness between which player's attacks actually hit which player first, as one game might run faster due to better performance, which would be bad. However If this was a PvE type game, then it would not matter as much. Since it doesn't matter who hit 1st, because all players are working towards the same goal, instead of going against each other. That's why the only thing the Pro is better at is loading out of matches faster then a normal PS4. But when it comes to loading into the match, it becomes exactly the same as a normal PS4, because it needs to sync up with the other systems in order for it to start at the same time. This might be different when you are playing alone, when the game does not need to sync itself up with other systems. However I have yet to test this, because I am always playing with other players. The Pro may have a better performance if you were just playing alone fighting CPUs with out another player's presence on the field along side yours. But If you are deciding to play with others like I am, you will hardly notice a performance difference between the Pro and the normal PS4. I hope that explanation helped you out.
I was lucky to play it for free online over the weekend (without PSN subscription) before its initial launch. It was awesome! 1v1 and 2v2 were smooth but anything beyond those were laggy and often disconnections. But it's all for free so no complain
@Tryflozn Versus Thank you so much for making this video, I've got a movement going to spread awareness of the Versus series and this video would be perfect to link to it. Might I have your permission to use this video?
You are free to share the video as you please. The whole point of the video, just like I mentioned at the end, was to increase the player base! So that would be amazing, if you can share it. Just keep in mind not to re-upload this video to another RUclips channel and make sure to link the credit back to the original source when applicable to avoid miss crediting. Other then that, Good luck on your goal as we seems to be striving for the same thing!
I never really was interested in the versus series, but after this, I really want the game now and am probably gonna get it as soon as it comes out! Will there be a NA release? Or will I have to import it?
There will be an NA and EU release coming in Fall 2017. That is all that Bandai Namco has mentioned thus far. Maybe this E3 they might give us an accurate release date, but who know if they will even be there or not. If any news surfaces about the release dates for the English version of the game, I'll try my best to let everyone know.
Definitely looking forward to returning to the series, since the only one I was able to play was Federation vs. Zeon and it still one of my top PS2 games
I hope you will end up enjoying the new installment and much has changed since Federation vs Zeon. I was watching some other player that played it on Twitch not to long ago and it made me appreciate a lot more to everything that they have done to the newest installment.
You are asking the wrong person, as I have no interest in the Dynasty Warrior Gundam games and I do not follow any other Gundam game other then the Vs series Gundam games.
I am relatively salty that no suits from Gundam X, 0080, 00 season 2, and Build fighters, but that's probably just becasue I REALLY like the Zaku Amazing and the Gundam Zabanya
There is a "Build Fighter" character already in the game. You get him as a Pre-Order Bonus, which is "BN-876β Hot Scramble Gundam" piloted by "Tatsuya Yuuki" who is also known as "Meijin Kawaguchi III" which you can check out his info here: g-versus.ggame.jp/spec/reservation.php There are already word that "Bandai Namco" is working on "00 Gundam" and changing the design of it, making it permanently in "O-Raiser" baring many similarities to the "Gundam vs Gundam: Next" counter part of it. So I'm pretty sure this means "00 season 2" is basically confirmed to be in the game, just not at launch. A theory that me and my buddy Skyslam_vs came up with, is that they are holding back characters that can deal mass amount of damage by range attacks in just mere seconds as a later release, to allow new players to ease into the game first. Most characters that can achieve this are the ones from "Gundam X." They are probably also holding back tricky characters like the ones from "0080" for a later time as well. Most likely because they are afraid that players will get discouraged really quickly playing against those characters at an early stage. I believe for new players, if they don't know how to deal with those types of characters, they will be discouraged to continue playing. Which I have seen this happen in the past, during my "Full Boost" days. Also I believe that the game will have the complete roster of "Maxi Boost On" eventually. As they seem to be purposely holding back certain characters as DLC content.
>Build Fighters Yeah I know Hot Scramble is in the game, but I try to ignore it because I absolutely despise it's design >00 S2 Yey, 00 Raiser is nice >0080 I think I'ts a massive waste to not have the Alex and Kampfer in game at launch if only so it's there for the vets
Not sure what you mean by "base game," can you possibly expand on this question further for me to answer it more properly? A little note though, I myself have yet to play "Maxi Boot On" since the side of the world I live on, doesn't offer this game.
This just made me more curious about the game! I think I'll give it a shot. Does it require a certain region PSN account or is this game released for United States?? I've seen preorders here and there.
The account I believe doesn't matter, but in order to get the digital copy of the game currently at the state it is now, it will require a "Japanese PSN" account in order to access it. The game will be released for Japan and Asia on "July 6th" so you can get a physical copy of the game then. The Game will also have a" world release" meaning it will release to NA and EU in the "fall of 2017." The pre-order for the NA version is already up on "Amazon" for a physical copy if you are interested: tinyurl.com/mutef98
I'll probably try for the physical preorder most likely. I'd love to see a competitive community for this game. I'd honestly like to see tournaments for it to see how they unfold.
For the English community, you might be interested to tune into "Evolution Championship Series" also known as "Evo" for short. From what I was told "Gundam Versus" will be hosted there this year, replacing "Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost" which usually is the one present for that tournament scene. Last year at "Evo" for "Full Boost" some of the top players from Japan participated in the tournament brackets along side "Kana Ueda" the voice actress of "Rin Tohsaka" from Fate/Stay Night. There is usually at least 1 tournament every year over in "North America" for the newest "Gundam Vs" game.
I definitely know about EVO. I follow the Smash Bros. scene somewhat devoutly. Was Full Boost ever livestreamed? I never even knew EVO offered that as a game! I usually only see Smash, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear and so on.
Been hearing that a lot from many other comments and I understand that it is pretty valued among you guys. But I think the era of split screen might truly be over if Bandai Namco does exactly how I predict the outcome will be for this newest installment. Which I believe this game will probably get a steam release in the far future. However I do not know if the game would be cross platform compatible, but it would solve a lot of issues with this split screen demand, since the game at that point can be accessed by nearly anyone that has access to a gaming type PC. Since most of the time I hear people just wanting to play with there friends that don't own a PS4. Which I am in the same boat with all of you, since I do have friends that don't own a PS4 as well and they would love to play this game with me too.
If you want you can try it now for free if you like.
Not sure If I didnt hear if you mentioned anything about Single Player. Not online vs another player. Actual Single Player If not, then I must’ve figured out that on my own.
José Xavier Fornell yep told many people years ago that this would be the game to make me buy a PlayStation and they have finally made it for the states
There is currently no official release date other then Bandai Namco stated that it's being released for NA and EU in Fall 2017. If you are referring to the date on Amazon, that date is temporary, as they do that for all unannounced release dates for any game. It also appears that any menus related to English is being held back for now as well. I assume this has something to do with the release date revolving around NA and EU, as there was suppose to be a copy of the game with the menus entirely in English for Asia version of this game, but even that version has an unknown release date.
No worries! I'm here to help clear things up as much as I can to the western audience! Since I love this game and I think everyone should at least try it once.
I don't think it will be necessary because the "Asia" version of the game is completely in English to begin with and the "Asia" and "Japan" release dates are on the same day, making them both release on July 6th. Also to add both "Asia" and "Japan" versions of the game can play with each other, so there is no reason not to get the "Asia" version, if you want to be able to read the menus. However, unless I stumble upon someone else that is already doing a menu guides, I'll probably just promote them to everyone instead! Since I myself mainly just want to focus on the basics of the game.
I couldnt find any info about SEA version releasing on the same day as Japanese release, could you give me a link confirming this please? Thank you in advance.
I love it so it's like the early ps2 gundam games federation vs zeon.. all gundam games need to take tips from those games.. crossfire for the ps3 had so much potential but it was a failure even though I do play it still from time to time to get my gundam fix.. I'm hoping that this is the start of new gundam games in the future cuz we need more gundam!! - zeig zeon
You are completely free to do so! Just like what I mentioned at the end of the video, It be amazing if you can help pass along this video in hopes of growing the player base! so thank you for helping out the "Gundam Vs" community, by sharing the video to others.
Yeah, I guess I am. I told everyone if this gets a North American release then I'll come back to the game! Guess the time has finally come for me to return.
Before the open Trial was public for people to play, mine and few other players I knew, wasn't able to make our PS3 fight sticks work. However during this month when the Trial was open to the public to play, it appears they have updated the legacy support to be able to read our fights sticks now. So I assume by the full release of the game, the legacy support should support most or all PS3 fight sticks by that time.
Yes there is A.I. in this game as well as single player mode and options. I've seen players do Wave Rush mode where it's just them going against enemy A.I. for countless waves of enemies that keep coming at them. This is also playable currently in the "Trial" version released this month. The "Trial" version can be downloaded off of the Japanese PSN store for free with a Japanese PSN account which takes about 5 minutes to create for free too. If you are interested in trying the game out for yourself, the "Trial" version will be available until July 6th. You can only play the "Trial" version when the servers are live, which the schedule for the servers coming on are only on Thursdays and Saturdays at 9+UTC which should be 9:00pm Japan's time. The "Trial" version also does not require a PSN+ to use any online features at this current time.
Gundam SEED Rengou vs Zaft is my most favorite game on the PS2, I spent countless hours on it. Sadly I don't have any PS4 to join the Versus... Why don't they make them for PC...
it is said that bringing the game to NA was a miracle by itself though, probably because of licensing and stuff. C'mon Bamco even GE got into PC (way too late i think)
Bamco has a lot of games on Steam not just GE, the only reason they haven't ported to Steam is because they have a contract with Sony that Gundam Versus has to stay exclusive for Sony systems.
Probably not, the interface will take some time to explore. But the game doesn't consist of a lot of reading. You can pretty much take 1 hour to do trial and error until you figure out everything in the menus. That's how much reading was necessary to navigate through this game.
Yes they did, but they still retained "1on1" and now added in "Free For All" as well as releasing this game to NA and EU with a "World" release in Fall 2017. Meaning there shouldn't be any server lag, since I'd assume there will be servers near those areas now. Really at this point, I don't see why split screen is necessary? Unless you enjoy limiting your vision of visibility and playing on less then 30 FPS? But that's just my opinion, unless someone can tell me why split screen would still be a thing at this point.
Sad the only game of Versus Franchise i have is the first one,Federation Vs Zeon,i want a ps4 so much to play this ... Huge fan of gundam, but no money for the things ...
thanks for showing alot of wing and 00 suits in the video, there my two favorite series.i really hope PSN will release this to the western side even if just by DD like reborn got because i want to be be able to play dynames or deathsythe hell :'(
The game is being released in English for NA, EU and the rest of the world in Fall 2017. If you want to know more about Gundam Versus information, like maybe the specific date, you might want to tune into E3 as I believe there might be more information about the western release there.
sweet.sadly it probably wont be dubbed but i can wait to be able to buy this for my ps4.i just finally was able to save up enough to get one and im tired of borrowing games from my library so this will be the first one for my new ps4 and btw is your channel pic of zack fair from FFVII? cause it looks like it and he my favorite form FF period
Yes, from what I've seen from other people playing the "Trial" version, this game offers a single player mode! However I do not know if an internet connection is required to use this game, as players currently cannot access this game unless the servers are up during "Trial" version. This may be different when the full version of the game is launched on July 6th and may offer an Offline mode, but from looking at just the "Trial" version, this game requires an internet connection just to access single player mode.
The game can get complicated if you want to be competitive with it. This video only talked about the core basics and only scratching the surface of the gameplay of what's to come. However the game also can be played pretty casually with just the basics in mind. Understanding what I said in this video should allow you to be able to clear the game successfully just with that knowledge alone. But if we were to talk about PvP that would be a whole other topic to talk about on it's own.
Currently the Trial version that was released this month can only be accessed with an internet connection. However I am uncertain if the full version of the game will be like this or if it will allow offline access. You'll have to wait until July 6th for someone to be able to answer this accurately.

#newtepy
Bandai should hire you to promote that game. Your explanations are so spot on!
Thank you, I would love to work with Bandai Namco if the opportunity is ever offered!
Silk Winds agreed, bandai should simply hire you to promote this game.
They're already working with UnlimitedBrettWorks on promoting the game at EVO 2017!
twitter.com/HellaBrett/status/880094335311552513
thank you!!! and there is definitely a community.
you're welcome, I hope it ends up helping more people!
Tryflozn Awesome you actually responded! I look forward to learning more from you!
This intro is the best I have seen. It is thorough, clear and new comer friendly.
I even consider it is much better than official bandai marketing video.
Thanks
You are welcome! Very relieved to hear that!
Nice tutorial you got there! Can't wait to jump in the game when it released! I gonna get English version for Asia.
Cool, I hope we get to play together in the future!
Ghost Flay's still here !!!! Looks like I'll keep maining the Freedom then.
And the video was superb. You've gained a sub.
Thank you very much, appreciate the compliment!
Thanks for the video, really does help for a newcomer to Gundam Versus like me! Can't wait for the Free Trial next month. It's gonna be lit
Thanks dude! Happy to hear the video is helping people! Hope your experience with the game will be as enjoyable as how mine was!
How is it possible that gundam federation vs Zeon had split screen on ps2 but these high end consoles can’t. It’s ridiculous.
another great video dude, i hope i can get the game when it releases
Yo! always appreciate the complements and totally looking forward to see you in game when you can get involved!
What's the song you used at the start btw? More specifically, what's the name of the song you used from Gundam Extreme Vs Maxi Boost ON that was from the character select screen?
Late to this but this taught me how to play. Now I feel I've gotten decent. Thank you.
Dam gets me more excited for this to be my first Gundam game not only for the Gundam vs series, but Gundam in general. Really glad I'm putting money in this instead of MVCI for now.
I hope you'll end up enjoying the game as much as I already have!
The game is so much more complex than I thought it was, amazing! I'm so excited
So Dissidia for Gundam? Sounds awesome! Anybody know if Barbatos Lupus Rex is in the game or 00 Gundam Seven Sword?
The Lupus is confirmed but Lupus Rex is not. 00 Gundam Seven Sword existed in the previous version from this series. But is not in for the current version's roster. However it appears that they are releasing DLC content of all the MS they have missed from the previous version of the VS series. So I assume this means that we will eventually see 00 Gundam Seven Sword make a return again.
Tryflozn cool, thanks for the info. I hope lupus rex gets confirmed it's easily one of my favorites
I'm sure Lupus Rex will be added down the line. As the developers are adding in MS based on popularity as well.
Awesome video. I can't believe there's around 90 suits to choose from! And the 6 vs Boss mode sounds like fun!
There's not just around 90, there is more then 90+ 😀
Most informative video yet!
Two more questions, if that's fine with you:
1: Do you have a link for the "Asia" version? (if it's even been announced yet that is haha)
2: And does the Asia region (not Japanese) usually sell the G-Premium sound editions?
Bonus question: Since I just bought my PS4 yesterday with no games or Playstation plus yet I obviously don't have any particular use for it yet. However, would you mind sharing your handle name for when the game comes out so that we mayhaps could play sometime?
Thank you once again! Have a nice day :)
From my own research, the "Asia" version doesn't appear to have a "Premium G Edition" and if you are still interested in picking up the "Asia" version or "Premium G Edition" the only store that comes to mind is "Play Asia" or "AmiAmi."
Also my name on PSN is Tryflozn (For English) and Tryfiozn (For Japanese)
why there havent 1/1 Build Strike? 1/144 so small
Is the camera angle always locked or can we change it in the settings? Pls help
Any bosses like Gundam vs Gundam next plus ?
Cool, thanks for the info. My brother just got the game yesterday. I've played fighting games for decades.
Also enjoyed the Gundam Dynasty Warriors games. Looking forward to seeing this game.
Forgot to mention the part where pretty much half of the roster is dlc unlike in litterally every other version of gundam VS
I wanted to buy this since I've seen the announcement and played the beta but I'm still stuck playing extreme versus since this one won't get any cheaper where I live.
Also, why are the DLC's so expensive??
Great video buddy!
Tight. Cant wait till I can buy this
You can try it now for free if you like.
Thank you, I am really relieved to hear that it is clear and I am extremely happy to hear that people are finding this video useful and informative!
I enjoyed my time with breakers 3 and SRW OG last year so I'll definitely support bandai bringing more mech games over to the west.
This video is fantastic. Thanks so much im really excited for this game and i hope ur video gets more views as the Global version comes out this fall
Yo thank you for the compliment, your welcome as well, and I hope so too!
Oh shit i didnt expect a reply from the uploader! Haha no problem! Ill be looking out for more GVS videos from you now!
I try to reply back to as many viewers as I can when I have the time. Thank you for the continuous support!
The roster can be viewed here: g-versus.ggame.jp/ms_stage/ms/
Keep in mind that this is just all the MS that come with the game at launch. This list does not include all the DLCs we are getting in the future. Barbatos Lupus is our 1st DLC character and there are many more coming.
My biggest question is what fully co-op (not against other players) modes does the game have? I know it has 6 vs a boss, are there other modes?
As I really believe the game play is what truly sells the VS series and not actually the Gundams for this specific franchise, unlike other Gundam games.
do you have to sign up to use the beta because I did get that but unable to connect and I can't read Japanese so I don't know what it means
It's only playable when the servers are up, which are only on Thursdays and Saturdays during 9+UTC which should be 9:00pm Japan's time. The servers are only up for 1 hour each session.
great video dude, need this asap, I want to play a very good gundam game
This video is really great man! Bandai should hire you because so far you explain this game so perfectly.
Thank you, I'd totally would love to work with Bandai Namco if the opportunity is ever offered.
there's a NA version i thought only EU was announced?
(STANDING OVATION) The best video guide i have ever seen. You are the reason im buying the game good sir! :)
my Gundam is rising.
hell yeah man
looking forward to play with u
Me too bro!
If you downloaded it from the Japanese PSN, can you play it from you're English PSN? Like Gundam Breaker 3
From my knowledge of trying out the "Trial" version of the game, yes you can. However the full release of the game, I would not know.
Tryflozn ill give that a try then
Does this game have four player split screen? It looks like it from the video.
No it doesn't, this version doesn't support any lan functionality or split screen. All multiplayer functionality is online only.
Brah this is great. great job you are doing a wonderful job if anyone asks about this game I'm going to point them to you.
Yo Thank you! Also appreciate that you are helping out the Gundam Vs community by directing them to this video!
oh damn, this was super clean
Yo damn, you don't know how super happy I am to hear that! Been worrying that I wasn't clear enough in the video. But hearing this makes me relieved!
Excited to hear more from you. Neutral video someday soon maybe? :)
I'll see what I can do. I'll definitely be interested to do a video about Neutral, just not anytime soon since I need to go in depth with a few other mechanics 1st.
yea i gotcha, no worries.
I was planning to get PS4 Pro solely for Gundam Versus only, but I wonder how much FPS normal PS4 will get.
How about graphics performance?! Is it same both systems or Pro better?
Does this game have a campaign or offline mode?
I'm definitely gonna get a PS4 when this game comes out
Looking forward to hopefully one day play with you, when you decide to get involved!
Tryflozn I hope so too 😄
Same id get a PS4 just for this game even tho there are soooo many others i want too
Definitely looking forward to returning to the series, since the only one I was able to play was Federation vs. Zeon and it still one of my top PS2 games
I hope you will end up enjoying the new installment and much has changed since Federation vs Zeon. I was watching some other player that played it on Twitch not to long ago and it made me appreciate a lot more to everything that they have done to the newest installment.
How do we use the Boost Dive? What's the input?
It's mentioned at 5:01 but if it went by to fast for you to pause, the input is Boost + Striker to initiate Boost Dive.
Thanks, I really didn't hear it xD
I figured it went by to fast for you to noticed, that's why I typed it out to you anyways encase it was to fast.
Is there split screen in this one plz tell me
No, there is no split screen
Are they going to make another Dynasty warriors gundam game?
You are asking the wrong person, as I have no interest in the Dynasty Warrior Gundam games and I do not follow any other Gundam game other then the Vs series Gundam games.
I am relatively salty that no suits from Gundam X, 0080, 00 season 2, and Build fighters, but that's probably just becasue I REALLY like the Zaku Amazing and the Gundam Zabanya
There is a "Build Fighter" character already in the game. You get him as a Pre-Order Bonus, which is "BN-876β Hot Scramble Gundam" piloted by "Tatsuya Yuuki" who is also known as "Meijin Kawaguchi III" which you can check out his info here: g-versus.ggame.jp/spec/reservation.php
There are already word that "Bandai Namco" is working on "00 Gundam" and changing the design of it, making it permanently in "O-Raiser" baring many similarities to the "Gundam vs Gundam: Next" counter part of it.
Most characters that can achieve this are the ones from "Gundam X."
They are probably also holding back tricky characters like the ones from "0080" for a later time as well.
>Build Fighters
Yeah I know Hot Scramble is in the game, but I try to ignore it because I absolutely despise it's design
>00 S2
Yey, 00 Raiser is nice
>0080
I think I'ts a massive waste to not have the Alex and Kampfer in game at launch if only so it's there for the vets
also as for completeing the roster of Maxi Boost on, does this include the base game of Maxi Boost?
Not sure what you mean by "base game," can you possibly expand on this question further for me to answer it more properly? A little note though, I myself have yet to play "Maxi Boot On" since the side of the world I live on, doesn't offer this game.
I say Base Game considering Maxi Boost On was an update to Maxi Boost, which itself had a large mobile suit variety.
I do miss Federation vs Zeon, now i gotta go home and find my playstation 2 and my disc
Thanks for the video. Still bummed out over lack of split screen though :(
Been hearing that a lot from many other comments and I understand that it is pretty valued among you guys.
Tryflozn I agree. Cross platform would be a good compromise. That said it'd be a first for Gundam Vs
So pumped for this when we get it in NA, i just hope there is a decently high player base.
That's my goal! Trying to increase the player base for the game before it even hits NA!
nice avatar man
bamco should consider hiring you for this kind of stuff. You're doing a pretty good job.
Thank you! If that offer is ever given to me, I'd gladly accept!
I am so hype for this game, its been so long for a fun Gundam game again.
If you want you can try it now for free if you like.
Tryflozn so can the buttons be mapped like I did on ps3 r1 primary gun r2 second weapon and so on
TH3 GaminG DumB yes the buttons can be mapped.
Do u need a special controller for this game?
No, you can just use a PS4 controller.
Not sure If I didnt hear if you mentioned anything about Single Player. Not online vs another player.
Actual Single Player
If not, then I must’ve figured out that on my own.
Very good video!!!
Thanks dude!
Bro thanks for the video I learn new things. Can't wait to use barbatos
Good luck with the game! I'm relieved to hear that the video is helping many people out!
gonna buy a ps4 just for this game!
same
José Xavier Fornell yep told many people years ago that this would be the game to make me buy a PlayStation and they have finally made it for the states
I'm a big Gundam fan but I don't like the vs series. I much prefer the style of 0081 on the Ps3 or Journey to Jaburo on Ps2.
its a shame it has to be that way if youre a fan of the series.
Well we dont really get any gundam games here in the west so this is better than nothing
The freaking release date is freaking December 31st????!!!!!! Does the Japanese version have good English translations in the menus and stuff?
There is currently no official release date other then Bandai Namco stated that it's being released for NA and EU in Fall 2017. If you are referring to the date on Amazon, that date is temporary, as they do that for all unannounced release dates for any game. It also appears that any menus related to English is being held back for now as well. I assume this has something to do with the release date revolving around NA and EU, as there was suppose to be a copy of the game with the menus entirely in English for Asia version of this game, but even that version has an unknown release date.
Thank you for clearing that up, I'm a huge Gundam fan and I am insanely hyped for this game!
No worries! I'm here to help clear things up as much as I can to the western audience! Since I love this game and I think everyone should at least try it once.
You should do some menu translations on your next video
So I guess it's safe to assume that all english versions will come out in September, oh well I guess I'll just wait a bit longer then.
Yeah, I guess so.
- zeig zeon
mind if i share on my gundam page?
You are completely free to do so! Just like what I mentioned at the end of the video, It be amazing if you can help pass along this video in hopes of growing the player base! so thank you for helping out the "Gundam Vs" community, by sharing the video to others.
ahhh snap try is coming back to gundam
Yeah, I guess I am. I told everyone if this gets a North American release then I'll come back to the game! Guess the time has finally come for me to return.
I love the Gundam Versus series. I owned the PS3 version of Gundam Extreme versus and i loved it. I just hope my PS3 Fightstick works on my PS4.
Before the open Trial was public for people to play, mine and few other players I knew, wasn't able to make our PS3 fight sticks work. However during this month when the Trial was open to the public to play, it appears they have updated the legacy support to be able to read our fights sticks now. So I assume by the full release of the game, the legacy support should support most or all PS3 fight sticks by that time.
okay, I am a little sad there's no G Gundam stuff in this thing, that's my all time favorite, but I am also happy it has all the gundam wing suits.
Is it worth it without online?
Great Video as always
Yo Thanks! appreciate the compliment bro!
Im wondering if there's A.I. in the game.
The "Trial" version also does not require a PSN+ to use any online features at this current time.
thanks for the info, now I can look forward to it without any second thought.
No problem! Hope you'll enjoy the game!
Gundam SEED Rengou vs Zaft is my most favorite game on the PS2, I spent countless hours on it.
Sadly I don't have any PS4 to join the Versus...
Why don't they make them for PC...
This is the sales pitch I needed
Great video! I found it especially useful as I just purchased the Japanese version.
That is awesome to hear! Hope you are having a blast with the game!
i'm sad, no pc release....... i really really really really really want to play to be honest since the extreme vs game on ps3
I'm sad there is none for PC too, hopefully it will come to PC if the popularity of the game continues to grow.
it is said that bringing the game to NA was a miracle by itself though, probably because of licensing and stuff. C'mon Bamco even GE got into PC (way too late i think)
Bamco has a lot of games on Steam not just GE, the only reason they haven't ported to Steam is because they have a contract with Sony that Gundam Versus has to stay exclusive for Sony systems.
*Autistic rage screeching intensifies*
If I don't speak Japanese, will I be boned if I buy the Japanese version from the PSN store?
Probably not, the interface will take some time to explore. But the game doesn't consist of a lot of reading. You can pretty much take 1 hour to do trial and error until you figure out everything in the menus. That's how much reading was necessary to navigate through this game.
I've been playing this game for a month and I never noticed the radar on the top right. It would've been so helpful in online matches, fml.
Best video I've seen on this game so far, can't wait for the English subs release!!
Yo, I'm so glad to hear that! Will be looking forward to encountering you when you get the game!
As a person who loved Virtual On, this game is a dream come true. I wish I had the money to get it!
did they really drop splitscreen?
Yes they did, but they still retained "1on1" and now added in "Free For All" as well as releasing this game to NA and EU with a "World" release in Fall 2017. Meaning there shouldn't be any server lag, since I'd assume there will be servers near those areas now. Really at this point, I don't see why split screen is necessary? Unless you enjoy limiting your vision of visibility and playing on less then 30 FPS? But that's just my opinion, unless someone can tell me why split screen would still be a thing at this point.
Tryflozn since on new year me and my friends play this splitscreen while we where hella drunk and it was fun xo
Sad the only game of Versus Franchise i have is the first one,Federation Vs Zeon,i want a ps4 so much to play this ... Huge fan of gundam, but no money for the things ...
Many people are also on the same boat, if anything I'd hope for a Steam release, since most people have a gaming computer at least.
This is probably gonna be a super dumb question, but is it like the way Dragonball xenoverse plays?
I would not know, I have never played Xenoverse.
thanks for showing alot of wing and 00 suits in the video, there my two favorite series.i really hope PSN will release this to the western side even if just by DD like reborn got because i want to be be able to play dynames or deathsythe hell :'(
The game is being released in English for NA, EU and the rest of the world in Fall 2017.
No... it's just a self portrait of myself drawn in an anime art style
Will this game have a single player mode???
Yes, from what I've seen from other people playing the "Trial" version, this game offers a single player mode! However I do not know if an internet connection is required to use this game, as players currently cannot access this game unless the servers are up during "Trial" version. This may be different when the full version of the game is launched on July 6th and may offer an Offline mode, but from looking at just the "Trial" version, this game requires an internet connection just to access single player mode.
I'm glad you mentioned cost! People need to know the penalties of using high cost mobile suits. 👍
And people need to know the penalties that they cause to there allies when using a low cost mobile suits too 😭
Good and detailed video!
I'm always relieved to hear that, thank you!
Thanks for the in depth explanation.
Keep going :)
great vid man :)
Thanks dude! Appreciate the compliment!
I might be returning the game there is no splitscreen
I dont want to😓
I can't wait for this game
Same here dude!
ohhh man i kinda want to play this...I love gundams, i build gundam, i watch gundam. Learning this games sounds not too tough yet fun
