This has to be my favourite Scanlan's song in the entire series. Not only for the context but also for it shows how much he actually cares for the team and his daughter
Same here! All his songs have been bangers but I thought the key was connected to the mansion since last season and to finally get it in such a style was a wonderful surprise!

Yup, I appreciate how Scanlan's arc mirror's Sam Riegel's own experience with DnD. He was the guy who took it as a joke but ended up caring about it the most, and Scanlan started out as the class clown but ended up caring so much about the group, he even made sure his pocket dimension would be tailored for every member of the party.
i watched the start of that episode five or seven times, because of that banger :D

Can't get this song out of my head. This was serious the best song of the whole series. Especially since they all look like they are having a great time for once.
Same here, I had this on loop for hours yesterday while doing stuff. I'm so happy we got the mansion and we got to see all of them happy! And all the references too, it's amazing.

I'd say yes. In the show they made it a magical item and everyone can use those, she already has Fenthras for example. It was a different situation in the campaign, there it was just a spell Scanlan had.
In-campaign, Vex does actually have some limited magical capabilities, mainly spells that power up her bow, plus some healing. That being said, her capability with magic isn't anywhere near that of Scanlan, Keyleth, or Pike - as this a pretty high-level spell in D&D, she wouldn't be able to pull it off.
That being said, if it's a magic item like the key Scanlan got, usually anyone can use it with very few restrictions. Meaning that in the show, chances are decent she would have been able to make it happen, Scanlan just beat her to the punch! 👍
Word thx for clarifying been forever since I watched campaign 1 all I remember was scanlan doing a spell with a door so I assumed u had to do that with the key maybe I’m still trying to figure out the logic to DnD
@@Nihil-2005 Yeah, I forgot to mention, as a ranger (with a alter multiclass into rogue) she's a half-caster, like paladins. But yeah, her magical capabilities were fairly limited. As another fun fact, even though healing magic is rare in the show, in the campaign Pike, Keyleth, Scanlan, Vex and later Vax all had healing capabilities.
The saddest thing about this is they used the goldfish here so it's unlikely we're going to have the cliff jump

What they said, I recommend this show to like a dozen people and everyone who watched it, loved it.
Try meeting the entire cast, half of them twice, within a 10 month period. Of course, I've been watching their second campaign religiously...Im near the end...

For those wondering why Keyleth became a goldfish, the answer is simple! She’s a Golden God!
Wow, they actually found a way to include the goldfish thing without it being as ridiculous as it was in the campaign! I was a little worried they wouldn't include it in the animated series (even if it was a very iconic campaign moment) because it's not something that would translate super well from gameplay into a show. But I'm so happy we actually got it in a way that works! And the cannon ball contest!

No, there is only one Pike.the other person is Kima. How it is possible to confuse a halfling with a gnome?
At 1:11 we see pike next to scanlan and the head facing away after grog splashes the head that was facing away turns and is also pike. Both head are blonde as well while Kima is brunette

Why don’t they go there all the time.
They did during the campaign! But in the show Scanlan found the key to it at the end of season 2, then kept it to himself until needed. Now he's gone too so we won't see much of it for the foreseeable future unfortunately.
Also it requires a door with a keyhole, so not something that can really be used when they're out travelling through the wilderness
