Oh my goodness, I love it!! This is exactly my parents dresser. They still have it. They have had it since I was a very little girl. I’ve always wondered how we would get rid of that thing. My mom LOVES it still. But NOW, I can show all my Nieces and Nephews your beautiful dresser and show them what I can turn Granny’s dresser into. I think this will make them all excited. They love family heirlooms, but this was just so big and dark!! My dad has the matching armoire. They would make a Beautiful set. I have your video saved in my INSPIRATION PIECES file. I need to steal your ideas to transform my long heavy oak dresser suite. I'm so tired of looking at the dark walnut stain and I hate oak grain, so covering it with paint is the perfect solution. I also love the bases you construct for your re-do's. I will definitely be stealing THAT idea!
You sure can bring a dated look into something modern and fresh. Getting rid of that base,hardware,and doors completely turned that clunker into a sleek modern peice. Thank you
Really a nice makeover. I missed the first few minutes so I will watch it now. I own 2 similar dressers, one with plastic bits on the front, that I have owned for 40 and 50yrs. The huge piece sitting on the bulky base definitely dates the dresser, chest-of-drawers and nightstands. (Lucky me - I have the entire set of both. Wow, what was I thinking? I actually bought one, the solid wood set was there when I bought the house.) Having watched how you create new bases has given me hope for both sets. Plus your genuine happiness and humor are always a plus.

I absolutely LOVE those drawer pulls. They're fabulous. Gosh Sarah you really took on a huge piece this week! It's fabulous. I love how it now looks much more elegant instead of the big chonky it was in the beginning. Great job buddy. Sooo happy for you with your son coming home. My daughter will be heading to college hopefully in 2023. I'll be lost. It's so hard watching them grow and go out in the world. Ah and poor Tammy. All lonesome. She'll be over the moon too. Oh man JoAnn! The heat this year is the hottest yet since we moved back to the US…can’t tell if that’s normal yet for Tennessee but Canada! Is heat that bad you can’t work normal for you? Seems like “normal” temperatures are a bit more extreme lately 😬 It was such a lovely reunion with my son. He even let me hug him twice in PUBLIC 🤣 I’m so happy 😁

Sometimes it’s a bit of both Kim. With this one it was as I was working on it bc I needed texture in the drawer fronts. Currently I’m stuck on what to do on a piece for me 🤔 may have to put it aside and work on something else. Things for me are a bit harder…I’m a fussy client who doesn’t know what she wants 🤣

Where there's a will, there's a way. If we want something bad enough, we'll figure out how to get it...LOL! Glad you were able to somewhat fit this dresser into your car. You did a GREAT job on it Sarah. I love the colours,,the base,,,EVERYTHING. It's been so darn hot and humid here in Ontario Canada I haven't been able to work on any of the furniture I have in our garage. As soon as the humidity breaks, I'll be out there working away. But then I betcha I'll have to be doing down all our produce for our gardens at the same time. As I said, where there's a will, there's a way. Excited for you to see your son. Oh man JoAnn! The heat this year is the hottest yet since we moved back to the US…can’t tell if that’s normal yet for Tennessee but Canada! Is heat that bad you can’t work normal for you? Seems like “normal” temperatures are a bit more extreme lately 😬

Sometimes it’s a bit of both Kim. With this one it was as I was working on it bc I needed texture in the drawer fronts. Currently I’m stuck on what to do on a piece for me 🤔 may have to put it aside and work on something else. Things for me are a bit harder…I’m a fussy client who doesn’t know what she wants 🤣
