- Meet Barry Vagnoni. In 2005, he convinced his wife to use their retirement money to build the greatest sports Fan Cave of all time - dedicated to his favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Today, Barry's Fan Cave is the hottest ticket in Reading, PA - drawing hundreds of people each week to watch their beloved birds. Filled with a 16 x 9 ft jumbotron, 16 TVs, a 30 ft bar and enough Eagles memorabilia that rivals most museums - to call this Fan Cave impressive is an understatement. But what compels a fan to build such a mammoth shrine to their favorite team? What’s the purpose of this sacred space? And how did Barry convince his wife to utilize their retirement money to fund it?

Thanks for spreading this story to us. Real eagles fans r all like one big family. I’ll never forget after we won the Super Bowl I just had grown men I’ve never met before crying and hugging me in the streets of the city.
Lost my Dad in 2014. He loved any sort of gadget play. When they pulled off the Philly Special, I knew we were going to win, and I knew he was with us. When the clock hit zeroes I hugged my wife, son and daughter and just bawled like a baby. Eagles are not the most decorated team in NFL history, but they are the franchise with the most soul, if thats a thing. Also, I often wonder, what does it really mean to be wealthy? I think Barry is the definition of it. Family, friends, good times. That's really what it boils down to.
I lost my grandfather in 2016 too and feel the same way. I hope this year is the year. 🎉

Was an eagles fan since ‘04 as a kid and even not feeling too emotional the entire game as soon as the clock hit 0:00 in SB52 I cried and it was just a raw reaction and emotion. I can’t begin to imagine how it must’ve felt for Barry in that same moment holding his dads lighter. Fly Eagles Fly baby

My first game ever was the 04 Super Bowl loss to NE. I cried, since then I’ve been an eagles fan through ups and downs.
Ive been a fan since around that time too. I am also a colts fan, colts vs eagles is my dream SB but anyway. I cried so hard for that championship, the ups and downs I felt as my time as a eagles fan was fulfilled with that superbowl. I did cry when they lost this last one. That team might have been the best the eagles ever had

I had a similar feeling with my Dad and Brothers during the super bowl. And like my man in this video, my Mother had passed on before that year. She knew how much we all wanted to see an Eagles S.B. win, she was there with us.
