HENRY Davis is a man obsessed with all things Vans - and he has the world’s biggest collection of the iconic skate shoes. Over the years Henry has dedicated his time and money to tracking down rare and old pairs of Vans trainers, he told Truly: “If I were to part with or sell the collection at some point it would be on the level of buying a house.” He has been collecting the shoes and other Vans related products for over twenty years and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Storing his collection at his store The Otherside Of The Pillow in Clapton, East London, Henry also has a shop called Pillowheat based in Carnaby St which he describes as: "the global mecca for all things Vans USA, part archive and part commercial vintage store.” Wearing and collecting the shoes bring Henry an immense amount of joy. Truly caught up with Henry at his store in Carnaby St, to see his incredible collection and learn more about what got him hooked on the Vans brand.

I bought my 5 year old his first pair of vans the other day and it was such a moment 😻
when my dad was a young scruffy surfer/ skater kid in SoCal in the early 60s, he wrote a letter to Vans saying how they should start using Velcro for their shoe laces. to this day he still talks about how he shot himself in the foot (pun intended) by letting his idea go for free haha.
Love seeing this guy pursue a passion + to be able to make money while doing something he loves! Vans shoes are a staple in my wardrobe. My friend had all us bridesmaids wear black sparkly Vans in her wedding!
My son went to his homecoming (only 1) & rocked a checkered bowtie & suspenders, black slacks with solid white vans 🛹. He was so fancy & in his comfort zone. He is now a Marine 💜.

My all time favorite pair were purple/gray/purple suede that were brand new at a thrift store for $7.00!! I was so stoked. I bought the kicks and ate top ramen the rest of the week!! Absolutely best decision ever hands down!!
I first bought a pair of the black and white checkered Vans for a friend over 10 years ago not knowing much about the brand,but in the last 5 yrs I have grown to love them.I have about 4 pairs mostly slip-ons.Love your collection...

I was a board 🛹 baby. My son grew up riding. Vans & Hook-ups decorated my boards among some others. I love seeing the classic stuff 👍. I have many stickers of above mentioned on a full length mirror that will always stay with me.
