This was the era where I got into collecting. I dove into the box sets, which were awesome for a new collector jumping in because right off the bat I could have four of the main guys I saw on TV all at once. Superstars 6 was such a good set, with that new Owen and HHH being highlights, and leading into the Superstars 7 series that remains one of my favorites. Great video!
I got "no holds barred" for christmas & it was the 1st wwf/wrestling toys I ever owned.. had to purchase it 1st when I started collecting again! I recently saw Luna on ebay, didnt know it was kinda rare!
I remember back in the to the mid to later part of the 70's. Mego Superheroes action figures were my all-time favorite toys back then, that is until the movie Star Wars came out. Then the entire world of action figures changed forever. Playsets, speeders, ships like the X-Wing Fighters the Tie Fighters, and even the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star were made. Crazy aliens, Taun-Tauns, Jabba the Hutt, and so many more. After the Empire Strikes Back was released, I was entering High School and action figures and "Toys" were for kids. Wrestling was always popular in our state. We had the AWA's All-Star Wrestling show. But then like everywher else the wwf became popular. During those years I missed out on a LOT of really good action figures. The DC Superpowers collections, followed by these wrestling. I eventually got back into collecting Star Wars and Marvel Legends, the Toy Biz figures, but again I missed out on a lot of really cool and unique figures. It was really great time for toy lovers/collectors and especially for kids.
I had a few of these. These were on the way out when I got into wrestling figures as a kid. The Titan Tron figures were the main line. I had that attitude ring but it was repackaged as a Wrestlemania ring
Man, if you were collection back then, it looks like there were a TON of sets, with 2 or 3 figures you'd already own but would have to buy again to get the one new guy. I would've hated that. lol.
Hello, just want to say awesome video, awesome content. Seeing these action figures takes me right back to 1998 watching wrestling while playing with my action figures.
Thank you very much for this video. It is very interesting. As a child I played with the wrestling figures from Hasbo. I don't know much about the time after this. Some of the WWF Jakks figures are really nice :)
I wasn’t thrilled with them myself, but as a kid it was my only way to get Bret, so I made the most of it. Plus the slammers Faarooq could do a sick dominator haha.
Out of all of the WWF, WCW, and ECW, this figure line was my least favorite line at the time because they had nobody. All they kept doing or repaints and re-releases but now I do custom BCA figures and I find that they are the best to work with. So what I did was I went back and I created most of the roster from 1996 until 2000 I only make customs of those figures that they never released. I never made an Undertaker or a Stone Cold Steve Austin but I did make a Savio Vega pre-nation of domination, Jim the Anvil Neidhart, Terry Funk Dory Funk Jr the radicals Etc. Whoever they didn't make I make now.
it would've been great if Toybiz got the wcw license two years earlier, we could've had Vincent, Dusty, Rick Rude, Glacier, Mortis, Alex Wright, though the trouble with a huge roster is they don't get to everybody regardless of time Also, I remember finding Kane at a Meijer back in the day, they only had duds from that series on the peg, I got suspicious and climbed up the shelves and blindly smacked my hand up on the riser and BINGO I got that Kane!
I remember i actually had found a Kane.. the store was charging $20 for that figure!! I begged and pleaded with my mom! I was successful and brought it home but I didn’t get another figure for about a month or two lol. At the time.. Kane was worth it!! Lol
This is why Stone Cold Steve Austin has like 30 figures in this line The Rock has about 20 figures Billy Gunn has about 10 figures Road Dogg as about 10 figures also
I cover it a little bit in part 3 of this BCA Series! But extensively, no. I will eventually! Up next is WCW Toy Biz History but its going to be a while, im still pretty early into that one
These were the best action figures back in the 90s. I liked when WCW changed their bulky action figures to have moving joints.

I grew up with these and had alot the figures my mom and dad bought me so this brings back great memories:)

I've also made the Jim Crockett promotions/ NWA roster from 1986 until 1989 using only the BCA figure line

Nice review wwf bca 1998. More add characters update figure
Used the ring catapults as ramps or background pieces on the Titan Tron stage they later put out
I certainly didn’t appreciate Slammers at the time because I didn’t like the action features but now I kinda want them all over again.
I wasn’t thrilled with them myself, but as a kid it was my only way to get Bret, so I made the most of it. Plus the slammers Faarooq could do a sick dominator haha.
I remember being so pumped for that Kane figure. Also, The Patriot was used as “masked” Kurt Angle until we got a proper TTL version of him.
the-2nd-series-of-slammers-were-one-of-the-best-overall-series-though.....FIrst-time-we-saw-Kane,DudeLove,Taka,Patriot-and-a-much-improved-HBK-figure

LOL So they thought Kane looked like The Undertaker under his mask? Hilarious.
Jakks Dropped the ball on HBK figures I’m still hurt.. yea Austin was popular at the end of 1997, but Hart and Micheals carried that company
I agree but they didn't sell merch like Austin.
I have that Yokozuna in white.
This is why Stone Cold Steve Austin has like 30 figures in this line
The Rock has about 20 figures
Billy Gunn has about 10 figures
Road Dogg as about 10 figures also

These toys had the best playability... I lost interest when they came out with the titantron figures.
Had loads of these but they are hideous. No 2nd hand market for them either.
Loose joints fresh out the package👎😂
This line fell off HARD by 1999. Total rush jobs.
These fell off so hard in 1998. Wtf were they thinking?
The fact you can still buy these
They couldn't even get the wrestlemania 14 attire right smh
