Protestant considering catholicism here. I live with my anti Catholic parents and I want to till them i want to be Catholic. I want to tell them the peace i feel every time I pray the rosery. I don't actually own a rosery i just do the prayers. Please pray for me to have courage to tell them
May the Holy Spirit continue to bless you and guide you to the right path and Christ’s true & universal church, the Catholic Church. Place all your trust in the Blessed Mother as She will take you to Her Son, Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Everything else will fall into place once you’re “home.” I also learned from Father Jim Blount this simple prayer but very beautiful and effective: “Oh Jesus, I surrender myself (or anything or anybody) to You, take care of everything.” Say this at least a few times or use the rosary beads and say the Glory Be after each decade. I’ve found this prayer simple yet quite miraculous. Hope this helps ❤
Aww 🥺 this is exactly what I said after my first confession when I got confirmed as a 28 year old. This is a beautiful way to live and I’m happy for your son that he gets to grow up with it
When I came to t 12:45 he USA in 1951 @age 9-1/2 from Italy, in the beginning I felt most comfortable and at home in a Catholic church. I followed Holy Mass with my Italian-Latin Missal, and I said or sang the responses in Latin. As I grew and learned English I still took my bilingual Missal to church until Holy Mass was celebrated all in English. This past decade I've been attending a local parish where I've been singing in the choir. The pastor likes for the choir to sing, on and off, parts of the Mass in Latin. At Christmas Midnight Mass, we sing carols and at Communion in seven languages total. Everybody feels at home, and I'm reminded of my childhood faith experience. At 84 yrs.of age I thank God for my Catholic faith.
I was born a Catholic, but I left 42 years ago, but I missed many of the teachings, especially the Eucharistic sacrament. I returned to the Catholic Church two months and I feel that I am back home again.
I was raised in the Protestant church, married a Catholic who adamantly would not attend any other church, I saw his devotion to his faith, I saw his mothers devotion to the church even when they did not attend on a weekly basis. Moreover I saw the faithfulness over the years of other parishioners. I was always amazed to see the same faces week after week, year after year. Even when there were times I had missed mass several weeks in a row, they were there every Sunday. I became a Catholic six years after we were married (that was 50 years ago). I wasn’t a perfect Catholic for all those years and I’m not perfect now but my faith has continued to deepen. The more I studied the Catholic faith, the more I was impressed and awed, every day I discover something more that deepens my faith and devotion to being a Catholic. Some religions can’t stand up to scrutiny, Catholicism becomes more impressive the more you know about it. Some of the prayers date back hundreds of years and of course the more I read the Bible, the more I see our faith as the true faith. God bless you in your work and God bless each person who reads this, because it means you are reaching for Jesus.
On St. Patrick's Day, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church announced it was ENDING its 50 year ecumenical discussion with the Vatican, ...now that the papacy has decided to make mockery of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony by officially certifying the performance of same sex unions among the demonic fudgepackers! For surely the decision of the Holy Patriarch to dump the filthy, heretic pope was at the suggestion of the Blessed Virgin, given her many warnings over the years about Roman rot!😢
I’m sorry for anyone who has been affected by the leadership of the Roman Catholic church. Please study God’s word for yourself. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. ------------- Every Christian is supposed to study and read the Bible for themselves. *Acts 17:11* *Ephesians 3:4* As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. *Psalm 119:15* I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. ------------- • In order to receive salvation, we must all repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We need no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no rosary, no pope, no papacy, no belief in Peter as the Rock 1 Corinthians 3:11, no man-made doctrine, no priests, no infallible magisterium, no Vatican, no communion of saints, no catechisms, no Marian dogmas, no transubstantiation, but only by faith through grace are we saved. ****Ephesians 2:8**** "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast".
@@redbird9000 . Wrong. Roman Catholicism has answered this type of bible-thumper objection for centuries. You should know better. Or maybe u r just dishonest.
I recently came back to the Church. I was raised Catholic and fell away for 50 years. The calling was irresistible and constant. You have presented every point that I now embrace and cherish.
I came back after 30 years. I had wilderness years of disbelief and skepticism. A few years ago I came back to belief, and had been nominally Methodist for the last 10. It was a conservative church, and love the people I left behind, but felt that call to home. The priest of my local parish said I needed to really think about my confession. Saying “I didn’t murder anyone but you can check a yes to the rest” wasn’t going to suffice for a confession, but did he laugh. It has been great! I am glad to be back home for all the reasons above.
When I first attended a Mass I was not Catholic. I came in to the Church last and sat at the back. All the people were kneeling and praying and were very reverent. I had not experienced that level of Reverence in my lifetime and I decided that I wanted to be a part of it!

I was raised Catholic. I walked away 34 yrs ago. I tried a mega Christian church for a while. The pastor had good things to say. But, it was too big. Felt more like a circus. Next , I tried a Baptist church. The Preacher was nice enough. But, I got tired of being yelled at during the service. He was that kind of preacher. Then for a few yrs I just felt lost. I started thinking about my Catholic upbringing. I recently starting attending Mass at my local Catholic Church. I went to Confession, had a long talk with the priest. When I took Holy Communion I knew in my heart I was home again. ✝️🙏🥰💒
I am a relatively new catholic- I converted in 2022. I love being catholic because Christ founded this Faith, The Eucharist, Our Lady, The Saints, the sense that I am not lost anymore, I have a home!
Currently in RCIA. I can’t wait to be baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church. I was raised Baptist but by middle school no one in my family was strong in faith and going to church was never a big deal. We became more and more secular and liberal. My dad thinks all religion is evil at this point. It took a long way to come back to Jesus but without all that I wouldn’t come to know the fullness of Catholicism.
"The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the womwn knead their dough, to make CAKES to the QUEEN OF HEAVEN, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. DO THEY PROVOKE ME TO ANGER? SAITH THE LORD: DO THEY NOT PROVOKE THEMSELVES TO THE CONFUSION OF THEIR OWN FACES?... lo, THEY HAVE REJECTED THE WORD OF THE LORD ; AND WHAT WISDOM US IN THEM?Jeremiah 7:18-19; 8:9
You should watch Christopher Hitchens destroy Catholicism. If your father thinks religion is evil, he has some point. The Catholic Church has been and is still responsible for so much evil, condoning evil and hiding it. I would consider you don’t join the church. Only Jesus Christ can save you my brother. Not a church.
Welcome, Celestial, I'm with the RCIA in my parish. It's always great to have new members that are coming home to the Catholic Church from protestant churches.
When I was a Presbyterian I was very anti Catholic, . But walking by the Catholic Church on the way to my Grandma's house I always had this feeling of comfort the closer I got to the church. Fast forward to after I got married and my son being born, late in the night when my son would need a feeding, I'd feed him while I looked for something to watch on TV. Stumbled on EWTN, and decided to watch. I got glued to it, and within a year I went to RCIA, after which I picked Saint Thomas More as my Patron Saint (since there are no Patron Saints for Meteorologists like I am),

I listened to this podcast while driving home. I so loved this. After I got home I asked all my family to the living room and we all watched it together. Children who are older teenagers listened from start to finish without their typical side comments. Thank you so much for this wonderful survey on why our Holy Church is the best gift God gave us. All best to you, Mr. Marshall and your family!
I am a Protestant/Catholic convert, just like you Dr. Marshall, being officially welcomed into the Catholic Church Easter Vigil 2023. My husband and i postponed our secular wedding at a hall, to be married in the Catholic Church before God. My favorite things about being Catholic are #1. The Authority of Catholic Priests & safety under the catholic umbrella. #2. Mary as our Holy Mother and #3 Reverence & History of the Catholic Church. My husband and I purchased our first home on Eastern Long Island and a few months later had to move out. We ripped out the floors, the kitchen our house was down to bare plywood and after months of Chaos we finally had out home blessed by a Catholic Priest, and all the issues instantly lingered away like blowing out a candle. (I am sure you can read between the lines) Hence my Catholic Conversion. #2. I found such solitude from our Lady who tugged at my heart the first time I ever met a Catholic Priest (at the original house blessing, before all the Pope Leo’s) And have received direct help and protection from our Lady as well. 3. Coming from a Protestant church, a comedy show between cover bands, i found such beauty in the reverence, genuflecting, humility, tradition and history of the one true church. When our souls witness and testify to truth, there is no turning back. Thank you for standing up for righteousness and keep standing firm in our faith. Light and Love in the Lord.

I was away from being a Catholic for half my life and was very lost. I came back to the church and found what I lost. I love being Catholic for all the reasons you stated, Dr. Marshall

👆 I have the opposite story. Nun was viciously violent to sibling for small infraction. Priest that I confessed to gave me the major creeps. I felt dirty after being in a dark closet with him. Prayers said afterwards didn’t “fix” anything. Had 1 appointment with same priest at the insistence of my parents, because I didn’t want to go to church anymore. He questioned me, then didn’t believe my answers. He was cold, cruel and apparently wanted me to feel ashamed. What I felt was shocked, afraid, confused and indignant. As soon as I was 18, I permanently left. Later this same priest was “credibly accused” and found Guilty of sexually abusing 4 Boys. He never spent a day in jail. He’s not on “pedophile” register. He still lives in the same area. His victims received $ettlements. He was removed from priesthood. I wonder how many people he hurt sexually, emotionally and spiritually during his “religious career” ? Satan laughing spreads his wings Demons found a HOME in the Roman religion where SINS and Deception abound. DON’T trust the UN-trustworthy.
I also pray rosary daily since 5 years ago, and after 3 years later I met jesus intimately until now I can talk and hear God's voice through Holly spirit 🎉🎉🎉.... The one that leads me struggling nowadays is finding my faithful Catholic husband... 😇🙏 Salve from Indonesia 🙏😊
Hi Doctor i really love your story.I belong to an ethnic group here in Kiamba,Province of Sarangani in Southern Mindanao,Philippines. We call our group The Tboli Tribe. Most of us are pagans until now. Thanks be to God I was baptized by a Catholic priest way back 1996. Am now a Catholic evangelizer among my tribe. Praised God.
God bless u brother and all of you in the tribe who are our bros & sis in Christ. Only Catholic says that redemption is all inclusive, no judgement unlike other sects who claims that only them are saved or worse that they are brainwashed to persecute & kill Christians (who are they to say that & what kind of God is that ?). Our God is not like that even to non-believers ...
It is a good time to be Catholic. You are a good addition to the Catholic Church. May our Lord keep you close to his heart God bless you and your family.
I love that I can be anywhere, waiting, standing in line, in traffic, and the familiar prayers fall from my lips like water. I love that when I am suffering it is a good thing because I know about redemptive suffering,, "Offer it up.", my mother used to say. I love the sound of the church bells reminding me to hurry up so as not to be late for Mass.(I live in Mexico).
I was brought up Catholic and then did the whole Protestant slide.. Now I am back home as a Catholic. I love the way I was brought up as a child, with my Grandparents and parents taking me to mass every Sunday. I love that I am adoring the Lord the same way as they did.. it makes me feel really connected with them since they have passed. I also love our conservative traditions. I kind of felt like the whole Protestant movement has become so progressive that it doesn't feel like we were really worshiping the Lord the way I believe he truly wants to be. I have been veiling every time I pray or go to mass. I love that I can submit to God and devote myself to Him the way he desires and has been calling me. Thank you for all the wonderful videos you are putting out. This is one of my most favorite channels to watch. God bless you!
I absolutely love and agree with your ten reasons. I am a cradle Catholic. The problem with some of us cradles is that, we get stuck in the cradle and when challenged by Non-Catholics, we can't defend ourselves or our faith. One of my favorite things about Catholicism, is the Lenten experience. Thanks for your beautiful presentation. God bless you.
I'm not Catholic but am increasingly drawn to it (already pray the rosary, grace, and the st michael prayer) for many of these reasons (especially Mary, the solemnity of the mass, and the historical roots). There's a beauty to it that nothing else has (although Orthodoxy is very close, and some echoes remain in Anglo-Catholic).
Take the plunge you will not regret it one but. I love the Catholic faith, I fell away for many years became Lutheran at one point but thank God he brought me back home.
I agree that the Church holds a beauty none other possesses, and I pray you take the brave step into the Rite of Cristian Initiation for Adults in the near future. Find and make friends with someone in the church you go to and ask him or her to become your sponsor. I pray for your reception of the Catholic sacraments in the Name of Jesus.
I converted just 1 year and 8 months ago. All these same reasons. I love confession! It liberates us from our past. And all the other 9 things you mentioned. I chose St. Thomas Becket for his courage. We have SO MUCH that protestants and evangelicals can't even imagine! It's like having a first class cabin on the ship to salvation. I was drawn to the Church for 20 years before my conversion at age 60. I've had 2 wives, a mother, one beloved Episcopal Priest and one long term girl friend and they all forbid me or discouraged me from converting. Obviously the devil holding me back. My only regret is not doing it when I was young. Thank you for putting this into words for me.

I'm in the process of becoming Catholic and loving every step so far. I've bounced around in protestant non denominational churches and always felt like it's just a 45 minute soft rock concert with really bad music. I love the path of Catholicism. I'm praying the Rosary every day, and have had some deep, transcendental experiences with it where I completely lose myself for minutes at a time. I'm soaking up every bit of knowledge I can. I love the Catholic mass and am already making new friends at my Parish. This feel like home to me and has set me on fire for The Lord. I've been really enjoying your podcast. Thanks so much!
I’m not a Catholic, I’m an Anglican, Church of England ordained Priest. This really was a very inspiring, warm, welcoming, and joyful video. Thank you Dr Marshall. I’ve been looking closely at the Catholic Church for the last 4-5 years, even having personal conversations with someone from The Journey Home Network. If I am honest Dr Marshall, the number one reason I have not become Catholic is that I am fearful. Fearful because I stand before a Holy God as a sinner, and I am fearful of making the wrong decision. Over these last few years I have read so much from some of the most incredible Catholic theologians that I have ever come across, listened to countless hours of debates. One minute I sense I am getting closer to becoming Catholic, and then I hear good Protestant arguments and I pull back. It’s not as if I am worried about loosing my job, as I am currently living in the Middle East due to my wife’s work. But I am fearful of going against a Holy God. So much more I could say, but not here. If anyone comments, please don’t say, “Come home” because right now I do not know where home is. God bless you and your family Dr Marshall
Many many years ago when l was in a similar position, a wise Catholic priest said the following to me: Do you know why you are wanting to become a Catholic? Is it because you believe the Catholic Church is the true church? In fact there can be only one reason - knowing that this is what God wants you to do. So please go and ask Him in prayer. If His answer is yes, l shall willingly prepare you. I have never forgotten this sympathetic and faithful priest, and remain ever grateful to him for his direct and wise advice.
Because over the past seven thousand years, by revealing Himself to us in His fatherly love, God has been teaching us how to spend eternity with Him, through coherent and historically documented facts, experienced and confirmed by millions of souls who continue to help us get to Heaven. The bridge to eternal life is Jesus Christ Son of God. The road map is the Magisterium. The vehicle is the Catholic Church. @@EPH113
Been Catholic all my life. Being Catholic is tough, it's not easy. How many times per day do I break one, or some, of the 10 Commandments? It's a struggle to remain continually within those 10 Commandments. We cannot do this alone that's why we badly need God and His help.
It’s very hard being a Christian! I’m a non catholic Christian and I’ve broken a few of the commandments too! I’m a sinner and I admit it! May God help you and I !
Irish sisters at a Canadian orphanage took care of me for the first 6 months of my life. I am and will be forever grateful to them and burn a candle for their souls in most churches I attend That is just the beginning of why I’m Catholic
I was born and raised Catholic. Left the church in my late teens. Explored all churches and even went to Muslim mosques. Explored atheism. Came BACK to the Catholic Church realizing the true beauty of Catholicism.

Great list, Dr. M! I'm a cradle Catholic, but I'm a revert. I call the TLM my holy tether. Not only the mass, but the congregation has taught me so much I never learned in all my years at parochial school.

Thank you for your video. I have been a Catholic all my life but it is always good to be reminded of Why I am Catholic. Being Catholic is always a treasure beyond treasures! I am glad you put on what you don't like about the Catholic Church and I must agree...but all families have some bad participants...Jesus own Apostles had a traitor in Judas. If you review our brothers and sisters in other faiths, you will find a pile of scandals and traitors too, they just won't admit it...we are all imperfect and that is what I tell my kids about the imperfections of our members of the Catholic past. God Bless you and keep telling it like it is.
I love being Catholic, and it's such a great blessing because first before saying anything to God, we start with the sign of cross " in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit which is extremely important. One can't just start praying without recognizing the Holy Trinity, the same reason why Jesus died on the cross. It's a great blessing to recognize how spiritual rich we are. We also have a direction in everything we do worldwide. From Zambia 🇿🇲 in southern Africa
I love being a Catholic for many reasons. One of the reasons is also that when I go to Mass, I can later have a conversation about the Mass with my children who live in other states. No matter where you go to Mass, you know you are hearing God's word, and it is the same at all Masses that day.
I'm not a Catholic... yet. I'm praying that my husband will come to the idea of converting to Catholicism, soon! ❤ Update: We went to mass for the first time on Christmas morning!! Can't wait to go back this Sunday!!

Ok so Im not a Catholic but Id like to say a couple of things I appreciate about the Catholic Church. 1. The willingness to understand that there are other ways to apprehend the divine other than just the intellect, (whilst of course having a strong intellectual tradition.) 2. A sense of beauty and its place in worship. 3. JP2s Theology of The Body. And a bonus one, I have great respect for their tireless work in the pro life movement.
It's always a pleasure to hear my religion spoken of kindly by non-believers, so thank you for your gracious words. I pray you come to Christ in the fullness of His Wisdom.

@@mariamartin94I think it's definitely not easy in both directions. Looking at the Lord's prayer....as many times as those words have been said there's the fact that to forgive and to ask for forgiveness is not that easy especially when the other person is simply not around anymore to ask. Any thoughts on this?
Yes it can be but Jesus said to Forgive them as God forgives us. Too According to Matthew 6:14-15, a person who doesn't forgive others will not be forgiven by God. In the verses, Jesus states: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." We are ALL sinners and in need of forgiveness.

Jesus showed us that there will be wolves in sheeps clothings. Look at Judas. Jesus picked him for a reason. I'm sure Jesus would've loved it had judas Escariot asked for forgiveness instead of losing hope in God, but Judas made that choice out of his own free will. Just like any priests that have lost their way. They have free will and because they belong(ed) to the Catholic Church doesn't mean they're perfect. Many will infiltrate the Church because of the fact that It Is The One True Church. Otherwise, the devil would've left Her alone. The Catholic Church is the oldest church in history and still taking all the bombardment from all sides, and yet She still stands. That can only be God's hands holding Her.🕊❤️💙✝️💒🙏
10:48 Thank you so much for this! I think a lot of non-Catholics miss the boat on this one. Worship at the foot of the Cross is an elevated state of mind not an emotion.
1) I love that the Catholic Church is the body of Christ and I am part of it 2) I love that the Church gives me spiritual pathways to Christ and his truth: Baptism, Confirmation, penance, Eucharist, Rosary, etc 3) I love being able to receive the real body of Christ and having to prepare for it through the grave of penance This video of Dr Taylor Marshall’s was my favorite video he has ever produced. I sent it to everyone I know who is “on the fence” to becoming Catholic! Thank you Dr Marshall! Keep the videos like this one coming!
When I was younger I used to think that being saved by faith alone was sufficient and made the most sense. But as I've grown older and crossed the age of 30 I've realized the value that acts, tradition, and the Church actually bring. I also like the penence and fasting that is required. Being forced to do unpleasant things that are good for you is something more people should do.
1) The Communion of Saints 2) The Mass & the rosary 3) Hearing wonderful stories of conversions to the Catholic faith :) 62 yrs and going strong. Pray, hope & don't worry!
Thank you Dr. Marshall, this was an excellent video! I also love being a Catholic and my top three reasons are: the holy and mystical qualities of the mass, having the Rosary as a part of my day and my life (I think of it as a lifeline!) and that it brings me closer to Mother Mary. I also like the physical aspect of holding on to the Rosary beads, and also the traditional part of our Church--we go directly back to Jesus! What could be more compelling? I also love the beauty of our Church, the candles, the incense, the flowers, the beautiful statues and paintings. All meant to glorify God and to inspire all of us here on earth.
Thank you, Taylor Marshall, I can subscribe to all 10 points (confession is still the hardest because I always know I'll have to go back there soon:). I grew up Lutheran and there was a definite anti-Catholic tone in the family. But each time when I passed a chapel (and we lived in a very Catholic area in Germany), I always felt the need to kneel before Our Lady. I felt like I was committing blasphemy, but it was as if my knees went weak. In 2015, I visited the birthplace of St Joan of Arc in France, whom I had admired as a child. I was overwhelmed by her presence - she was truly present to me - and I promised to become a Catholic. Someone then gave me the advice to attend a Latin mass, I had only known novo ordo until then - and was overwhelmed again. Never experienced anything like it before. I immediately enrolled for catechesis and in 2016, after so many years of being torn, I finally became Catholic.
@@calebjushua9252 That's fine. “sola scriptura” is an illusion. It is simply not possible to depend only on the scripture. What is needed is an interpretive framework, a hermeneutic apparatus, which most Protestant denominations borrow from the Catholic Church. But this is not reflected in Protestantism and should not be because they have left context of the tradition of the church. If they were honest they had to admit that in essential statements of the faith they depend on catholic doctrines. To give an example: the Holy Trinity is not scriptural. It is what the Church Fathers, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, read from Scripture and related to philosophical concepts. The Scripture itself speaks of the Father Son and the Holy Spirit, but nowhere are these three related to each other in the way that we take for granted today. If we get to the bottom of the matter, we will soon see that no one can base his life solely on the Bible, thats a phantasma. But so that it doesn't become arbitrary, we need the church's context of tradition. Having left this makes Protestantism so unstable, which is why there are always divisions.
Three things I love of being a Catholic: 1) Receiving the Body of Jesus Christ. 2) The Mass! 3) The rich cultural and educational tradition. I think you touched on every good point!
@@calebjushua9252 from the denomination that started 1900s, claims something from 1 yrs false doctrine 😅😅 but you can't expect better from activists and scholars who established their own denomination for the personal gain.
Latin Mass unifies us also. Catholics relate further by the prayer language and Sunday liturgy and church calender. Dont forget those amazing feast days amoung those sorrowful fasting days. Recently our parish celebrated the church triumphant and saints on all saints day and the children enjoyed dressing up as a saint and sharing facts for us all to guess who they were. So much good wholesome fun. Then morningtea and fellowshi. But we gather first and foremost for the sacraments of holy confession, Mass and Benediction beforehand
I believe all masses unify us since the same Epistle and Gospel and flow of the Mass from credo, asking for mercy, glory, offertory and Consecration are the same at every Mass in any place. When I went to a Mass in different language on vacation the local variances were there, but I could follow along as if it were in English. That to me is universality.
@@sheilasamuels1066The readings at the Traditional Latin Mass are not the same as at the Novus ordo. Nor are they the same at Eastern Rite Divine Liturgies.
I attended a Tridentine Latin Mass and got totally confused by it! There was no sense of unity in community and prayer at any point- the priest and his men were doing their thing up front, the choir was singing in the gallery their own and the people were praying quietly in the pews all at the same time! I also couldn’t keep up with and was constantly getting lost in trying to follow along with the missal and no one was willing to help me find my place! I left that church totally frustrated! The next day, I attended Mass at a Lithuanian cultural center near my home (I was living in Illinois at the time). The Mass was the Ordo Missae (NOT “Novus Ordo”! According to Fr. Peter M.J. Stravinskas, the Mass the way it’s done now is called “Ordo Missae”- The Order of the Mass!) This Mass was very structured- the priest says or does something, the people respond accordingly! The context was easy to follow- I knew exactly what was going on and how to follow along appropriately- and I don’t speak a word of Lithuanian! I have attended Masses in the Byzantine Rite, the Maronite Rite and the Anglican Ordinariate. The people who attend those liturgies regularly don’t even care how everyone else worships! However, those who attend the Tridentine Mass regularly are always condemning those who don’t go along with their ways- especially those who attend the Ordo Missae liturgy! I’ll never attend the Tridentine Mass again!
I was raised protestant, but was always drawn to the Catholic church. Four years ago I became Catholic and last Easter 2023 my wife and my daughter became Catholic. We wish we would’ve done it 40 years ago. one of the sacraments I’m drawn to is anointing of the sick and someday, when I’m on my deathbed I hope to receive last rites. I love being Catholic.
Never been to mass nor confession. On my three year research journey the Catholic Faith truly is the Truth. And since I came to that conclusion the one thing I’m most excited for is confession. And now that I’m typing this any time in the past I thought about the worst of my sins the image of typical movie confession always enter my brain. I’m still anxious and kind of scared to even go to mass because that would be officially Acknowledging that this is all real and not just a simple belief. So I found your answer to be really refreshing thank you.
Don't be afraid of mass. Mass is the most significant event you can attend in your entire life. It is THE epitome of greatness and holiness on earth. If you have never been to confession, make an appointment with a priest, tell him you have never confessed and would like to make a general/universal confession and he will walk you through it. You will feel so cleansed. May God bless you in your Catholic journey!
As a born-again Catholic, my heart is on fire when I hear someone speaking highly of our Blessed Mother. She led me out of darkness to Christ to save my marriage. She taught me to pray the Rosary from the heart and to do the Divine Mercy as a detox program to purify me from the promiscuous life I led before my conversion 16 years ago. I do love going to Confession and Eucharistic Adoration to sustain my conversion. The Holy Family is the model that I flee to when I struggle with family issues. God bless your ministry Dr. Marshall.
3 things: 1: the traction of the Latin mass. 2: Our Blessed Mother 3: the unity, the extended family of Catholics. And 4 people like yourself that are passionate about the faith, share their knowledge of the faith and remind us how great it is to be Catholic. Thank you
I am a Roman Catholic in Cebu City, Philippines and I love the content of this channel... This video strengthened my belief in the Catholic church, especially the enlightenment of our reverence to Mama Mary and the Rosary. God Bless you Sir!
I converted from being a Protestant 14 years ago. The thing I like most and am most grateful for is how Catholics view suffering. All my suffering, great or small, past or future, can now have meaning.
I was away from the church for 15 years. I had wandered far. But God continued to call me back to him. I had a glorious journey back after exploring several Protestant I churches. I prayed hard for God to show me where I belonged. The Queen of peace came to me
I am from the Phil...and Filipinos are 90 percent catholics...Just like you...i love to be a cathoic..your 10 reasons are valid....And 1 reason for me is that we are taught that salvation is not only for individual but a community..salvation for all...
The greatest Divine gifts to me about being a Catholic are being present as a Catholic at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Having the opportunity to kneel at the foot of the Cross and receive God himself. And to have Hope that one day I will see God face to face and share in
Confession truly is the most stressful and satisfying thing. I'm always stressed about how gross I've been. I worry I'm going to make a crappy Confession and get chewed out for it. Nothing bad has ever happened. But every time I get done in Confession and finish my penance I feel as good as I ever feel. Being that I go to confession before Mass, it truly makes the Eucharist taste that much sweeter to do so in a state of grace.
manny What G K Chesterton loved most of all about his inversion to Catholicism was the gift of Confession. The priest is there “in persona Christi” by Jesus’ plan. No matter that he be a sinner himself, trust that he represents Jesus. When Jesus instituted the Sacrament he advised, whose sins you shall forgive will be forgiven you . Whose sins you shall retain shall be retained. St John Visnney 17:52 and Padre Pio we’re notable as confessors. Typically you feel quite tense as you go to confession and ponder your sins. Once you’ve confessed, you are so happy that you did as though a burden has been lifted off your back.
@@EPH113blasphemy? That's absurd 😂😂 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9).
I am in the middle of a spiritual awakening. I was an atheist most of my life but recently I feel a pulling, a calling to become a Catholic. I have been attending mass and looking into classes. I have never felt like this.
You know what is great with your situation? You ask questions and try to get answers, and that is wonderful. Some like me were born and bred Catholics, put in some effort, sure, but I was lucky from the get-go. You will be even smarter than anything I might dream of being because if you end up accepting the faith, it will be a thoughtful conscious choice, and you won't be like some lousy Catholics (looking at myself).
I was just baptized and confirmed into the Church this month. Definitely agree about going to Mass; ever since I started attending I've felt the presence of God more than at any other time in my life. Absolutely amazing!
I can't fast for medical reasons so the alternative I practice is giving up something like Lent. The thing I want to share with you relates to an experience in the hospital for pneumonia this week. The Eucharistic Minister from our parish came with Communion. When he walked into the room there was such a sense of peace, warmth and embracement that was overwhelming as the as the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus, entered the room. A lifetime experience.
I'm Catholic and I haven't been to confessions in years 😢 I'm terrified. I used to always go with my family but on the last two times I had priests who were extremely horrible, were one actually left me in tears. I've been praying for the courage to go back again before Easter Sunday 🙏
Hi Taylor. I'm also a devout catholic and what inspires me is our beautiful traditional biblical gregorian hyms that we sing accompanied by the heavenly sound of the organ which makes our mass and liturgy so different. A foretaste of heaven..
I too pray the rosary b4 going to bed and i made the rosary myself.😊 then i attend sunday mass and after the mass i show it the priest and ask him to bless it. And now i always have my rosary in my pocket or in my purse whenever i go. 🇵🇭
I usually get so emotional during Eucharistic prayers. I used to feel bored long time ago, but when I studied and understood what mass is, I get so overwhelmed and at the same time so happy.
I was born into a Catholic family and explored fundamentalism and other areas of spirituality. I didn't step inside a Catholic church for about 2 decades, but eventually, I came back to Catholicism. After all the exploration, the Catholic church still feels like home to me. I can relate to the things you said in this video. Hello from the Philippines. 3 things I like: Mama Mary, freedom from constant checking by church leaders and members, the rosary.
I started back praying the rosary after I heard you say each bead prayer is a dart being fired into the heart of evil. I told my wife, who prays the rosary every day, and she said you were absolutely right. Let’s continue to fight the good fight in trust and obedience.
I'm so glad I've found you. You help me understand so much. I was Catholic and was hungry for more and went non-denomination for years but I'm truly a Catholic at heart. I pray my Rosary and get lots of negative feedback from my Protestant friends and family but watching your videos gives me ammunition as to how to replay to their criticism. God placed me here to watch you and I will definitely subscribe
Really agree on reason #2. Had a dream of our Holy Mother saying "Child, from this point on, your soul belongs to the Lord". Did an abrupt 180 turn away from my vices and the likes and worked further on to improve myself. Never will i forget a dream with such a caring motherly voice.
I would just like to thank everyone on here for their testimonies. I was a Catholic all my life but only truly understood the depth of my faith about ten years ago. I have been becoming more knowledgeable and devoted to deepening my relationship with Jesus. My kids aren’t sure if they want to be Catholic nor does my wife but they are interested. Please pray they join me in the Lord Jesus. Thank you!

My mom joined the Church when I wS 3. She met with opposition but never gave up. I always loved the Church but but was looked down upon as a Catholic. I am old now and will be a Catholic until I die. I love all the reasons you chose because I believe those❤
Dr Taylor you are such a wonderful witness for Catholics every where. God is certainly using you to help those of us who have been Catholic all our lives to humbly realize there is such BEAUTY & FULLNESS IN OUR CATHOLIC FAITH THAT WE MANY TIMES TAKE FOR GRANTED. God bless & keep up the wonderful work of spreading the TRUTH & BEAUTY OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH. 🙏🙏🙏
I too was a protestant until I converted about 5 or 6 years ago. I was a victim of protestant propaganda about the Church. I took RICIA classes and talked with Protestant Pastors who gove me a clearer view of the Catholic Church. So I became a Catholic and I never looked back.

Praying for you!

Quick prayer to help you get there.
Be patient and loving in all that is slung at you. You may be the sign your parents need to soften their hearts to the Church.
My son, when he was only 9, after just going to confession told me, "I feel so light, Dad. like I'm walking on clouds, Dad!"

When I came to t 12:45 he USA in 1951 @age 9-1/2 from Italy, in the
beginning I felt most comfortable and at home in a Catholic church. I
followed Holy Mass with my Italian-Latin Missal, and I said or sang the responses in Latin.
As I grew and learned English I still took my bilingual Missal to church until Holy
Mass was celebrated all in English. This past decade I've been attending a local parish where I've been singing in the
choir. The pastor likes for the choir to sing, on and off, parts of the Mass in Latin. At Christmas Midnight Mass, we sing carols and at
Communion in seven languages total. Everybody
feels at home, and I'm reminded of my

experience. At 84 yrs.of age I thank
God for my Catholic faith.

Welcome home George.
me too. Only it has been over 50 years for me. I married a non-Catholic. (I was young)

I got glued to it, and within a year I went to RCIA, after which I picked Saint Thomas More as my Patron Saint (since there are no Patron Saints for Meteorologists like I am),
You could have had Saint Medard! But Thomas More is a good choice.

As soon as I was 18,
I permanently left.
Later this same priest was “credibly accused” and found Guilty of sexually abusing 4 Boys. He never spent a day in jail.

Forgiveness is difficult for all human beings.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

10:48 Thank you so much for this! I think a lot of non-Catholics miss the boat on this one. Worship at the foot of the Cross is an elevated state of mind not an emotion.
1) I love that the Catholic Church is the body of Christ and I am part of it
2) I love that the Church gives me spiritual pathways to Christ and his truth: Baptism, Confirmation, penance, Eucharist, Rosary, etc
3) I love being able to receive the real body of Christ and having to prepare for it through the grave of penance
This video of Dr Taylor Marshall’s was my favorite video he has ever produced.
I have my disagreements with Taylor, but you can see the love he has for God and the Theotokos when he speaks. It is beautiful.

3) Hearing wonderful stories of conversions to the Catholic faith :)

I’m a Catholic and I LOVE serving the Mass as an altar boy, love the tradition, and love the family values

🕵️I hope you'll find out that Catholicism has tons of unscriptural doctrines.
Three things I love of being a Catholic:
1) Receiving the Body of Jesus Christ.
2) The Mass!
3) The rich cultural and educational tradition.

Nobody who understands the Bible becomes Catholic.
God bless you 🙏🏻
Such a grace. Welcome to the family.
Welcome and God bless your whole family
Welcome to the Faith❤❤❤
Never been to mass nor confession. On my three year research journey the Catholic Faith truly is the Truth. And since I came to that conclusion the one thing I’m most excited for is confession. And now that I’m typing this any time in the past I thought about the worst of my sins the image of typical movie confession always enter my brain. I’m still anxious and kind of scared to even go to mass because that would be officially Acknowledging that this is all real and not just a simple belief. So I found your answer to be really refreshing thank you.
It will be just fine...♡
So what Jesus did on the cross was worth nothing?
Don’t frustrate Grace!
Congratulations I'm so happy you found the truth
Don't be afraid of mass. Mass is the most significant event you can attend in your entire life. It is THE epitome of greatness and holiness on earth. If you have never been to confession, make an appointment with a priest, tell him you have never confessed and would like to make a general/universal confession and he will walk you through it. You will feel so cleansed. May God bless you in your Catholic journey!
I highly recommend beginning to pray the rosary every day. All doubts and fears will dissipate through an abundance of graces.
Thank you
thank you dr. Marshall..proud catholic from Philippines... Praise God our Lord Jesus Christ with the Blessed Virgin Mary our Beloved Mother... ❤❤❤
I am a Roman Catholic in Cebu City, Philippines and I love the content of this channel... This video strengthened my belief in the Catholic church, especially the enlightenment of our reverence to Mama Mary and the Rosary. God Bless you Sir!
🕵️How can you authenticate the Catholic doctrine that God has appointed Mary the office of a mediatrix?
Mary is the new Eve. Just as Eve was sinless before the fall so Mary is the sinless virgin who brought forth the new Adam, Jesus.@@calebjushua9252
Mao maayo gani kay Catholic akong asawa. Nabalik ko sa Simbahang gitukod ni Jesus Christ.

I converted from being a Protestant 14 years ago. The thing I like most and am most grateful for is how Catholics view suffering. All my suffering, great or small, past or future, can now have meaning.
Isso realmente é magnífico!
Exactly!!
🕵️I hope you'll find out that Catholicism has tons of unscriptural doctrines.
I was away from the church for 15 years. I had wandered far. But God continued to call me back to him. I had a glorious journey back after exploring several Protestant I churches. I
prayed hard for God to show me where I belonged. The Queen of peace came to me
who is the queen of peace ? you worship The Lord your God and him only .
And to have Hope that one day I will see God face to face and share in
three things I like about being a Catholic: Our doctrines, the sacraments, and the timeless traditions.
Confession is blasphemy …. What do you believe Jesus died for?
Confession is great ...Don't knock it til you try it
manny What G K Chesterton loved most of all about his inversion to Catholicism was the gift of Confession.
@@johnholmes9801 for the saved believer their sins were all forgiven at the cross.
Confession is blasphemy
@@EPH113blasphemy? That's absurd 😂😂
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9).
I am in the middle of a spiritual awakening. I was an atheist most of my life but recently I feel a pulling, a calling to become a Catholic.
I have been attending mass and looking into classes.
I have never felt like this.
May the Lord continue to draw you to the Catholic church. It's the true church founded by Jesus 2000 years ago. 😊
Love this video and my Catholic faith!! Thank you for such a positive video!
I'm praying specifically for you to have the courage to go to confession. I'm sorry you experienced that.
Fantastic, Doctor Marshall,,,thank you for telling us why you are blesses in sharing your love as a Catholic
Hi Taylor. I'm also a devout catholic and what inspires me is our beautiful traditional biblical gregorian hyms that we sing accompanied by the heavenly sound of the organ which makes our mass and liturgy so different. A foretaste of heaven..
Jesus set me free not from sinning but from condemnation guilt and shame. Praise your Holy name Jesus and mum 🙏
Brilliant video. Dr Marshall. Our Lady and St Joseph pray for us. ❤️ God bless you and your family. Love from Scotland. ❤
I love that I can go to any Catholic Church to pray and be with Jesus, who is present there in the Eucharist ❤
Thank you!
Keeping you and your entire family in my prayers. Be strong and circle yourself with good Traditional Catholics whi will pray, help, and guide you and your family in your way to coming home to your true home, The Catholic Church. 🕊❤️💙🙏✝️💒
My mom joined the Church when I wS 3. She met with opposition but never gave up. I always loved the Church but but was looked down upon as a Catholic. I am old now and will be a Catholic until I die. I love all the reasons you chose because I believe those❤
Every time I go to Mass, I look up to the Altar and say Thanks Mom.
🕵️ I hope you'll find out that Catholicism has tons of unscriptural doctrines.
So beautifully put, love your discernment ❤
Thank you for your very inspirational messges
I loved it
Proud being a catholic
I too was a protestant until I converted about 5 or 6 years ago. I was a victim of protestant propaganda about the Church. I took RICIA classes and talked with Protestant Pastors who gove me a clearer view of the Catholic Church. So I became a Catholic and I never looked back.
