Love your videos and used your "sign-up" campaign tutorial as my first just a few months ago. Is it too early to re-target? It looks like you have a custom goal set up at 18:31 on this video, but I can't do that because I need at least 1,000 active members in at least one network to help identify existing customers. What goal do I use then? Thank you.

awesome content. you should make similar videos, for building for recommendations for different industries based on builds like headlines etc. with explanations.
Hi there! It's more practical to have an Ad group for each product and organize campaigns by category. Nonetheless, the video content remains genuine, so its impact will also be influenced by the market you're targeting.
Nice guide! is this primarily for USA markets? I am focused on luxury real estate in Spain and was wondering if I would need a different strategy for that? Thanks!
Hi Eric! Thanks for the clear explanation. I've just configured the audience in Google Analytics. When I add the audience segment "All Visitors" and "All visitors (Google Analytics)" and it populates, it only shows 0. Will my retargeting/remarketing ad still show to visitors before I set up the audience configuration in Google Analytics, or only to visitors that visited only after I've set it up?

Can you create a retargeting-only campaign in a new Google Ads account without a search campaign running as well? Or do I need the data and audiences from existing campaigns to run a retargeting campaign?
You need the data, because otherwise, who are you going to retarget? Building the right audience can also take some time before you can start displaying ads. Search campaigns drive traffic to the website, and retargeting is done to those who have visited the website.
Thank you - I thought perhaps you could use existing organic traffic to a website without driving new traffic via a Search campaign. I know it would take a little bit of time, but was wondering if you can do it that way as well? Thank you Eric! @@ericbpreston
Eric if you copy/duplicate the City ad group from the Local Search you created into the Retargeting Search campaign how can you double-check that the Targeting setting for this campaign in the Retargeting - Search is set to Targeting? I created the Retargeting - Search campaign with Targeting as a setting, then copied the Local Search for City and pasted it into the Retargeting - Search so ads and keywords would copy over, will the targeting setting remain for the Campaign level. I can't go back to settings to see that setting once the Campaign is created.
Hi Eric, for some reason when setting up the GDN campaign and selecting the Audience Segment, I am not seeing the option to select All Visitors (Google Ads) - It does not even appear in the results. Do you have any idea why this might be?
Hi Eric, I’m trying to create a remarketing campaign for app promotions using my website audience but I can’t find the option to target them within the app promotions goal. Is that something google allows? How do u suggest to do it

I left the location worldwide like you said and I got 9,000 clicks from Pakistan. I recommend just target the area you were targeting before or you could end up with an $1800 ad bill like me
Yout must have missed restricting the ad to your retargeting audience only. Unless you had 9000 visitors from pakistan previously, that wouldn't make sense.
Great video @Eric Preston! Thanks for sharing it. Q: Wouldn't the standard search campaign do its job to serve the "returning traffic"? And show your search ad again to the same person who looks for that term? Or your ads may show twice in the search result: 1 from retargeting and 1 from standard search?

Technically yes, but if you're not spending thousands a day it's going to take a while to build up that audience to be able to target them individually.
Eric, you said the Display remarketing campaign had a 5 dollar per day budget for a few hundred $ budget normal search campaign - would you therefore advise a similar budget for a Search remarketing campaign? cheers

But how to target them by the products they have viewed? Like when I am on a website and I see all the products that I have browsed or added to cart over and over again?
This was great! Question: do you recommend display ads just for remarketing, or can you use them for both your original campaign and your remarketing campaign? Thanks!
I would like to know from you, is it not entirely clear whether the CPC affects how many potential buyers will see my advertising or does it depend on the daily budget?
Hi Eric, in my experience Google Ads (like Facebook), may disapprove Images that have text overlays on Images for Display (but not all cases). In your examples I notice you are using an overlaid Logo with text that may be a problem. Have you found this a problem? Google says... Avoid inserting text on top of an image. Bear in mind that, when assets are combined, your messaging may become repetitive if overlaid text is too similar to a headline. Don’t overlay a logo on top of an image, as this can be repetitive in certain ad layouts. Images where the logo is integrated in the photograph are OK.
